Well it's by Valve, so I'd imagine it does, and those that work will most likely be offered through XboxLIVE - one would hope . . . Valve has had the MP crown for many years on PC, so they'll be giving the console fans something to crow about, and will be pushing hard to grab some of the console online MP gaming off games like Gears etc.
I think you'll find many games "copy" other games ideas for section, especially if they WORK. I wouldn't go so far as saying 'copied' as a bad thing, but perhaps learnt might be a better statement . .?
By developers seeing what does and doesn't work, allows them to improve on that, and ideally push the other developers to do the same, rather than dish out the same stuff time after time.
Personally I think L4D is going to surprise many, and Gears 2 MP is goo...

Afraid not mate, various reviewers that have SEEN and PLAYED it, which many Sony gamers have not, have said it lacks a level of quality that it should have, but KZ 2 kicks it's butt . . that was by a Sony reviewer to I might add . . .
I've seen 2 but they were given away at the Black Beta night in Sydney when CLiff Bleszinski was there. They look really cool and the boxes they are in really do set them off. Shame there's only 50 for Aust/NZ. You can bet your bottom dollar some will end up on eBay, that's a given.
Both games are similar in so far as their main selling points are MP mayhem . . .How many buy Gears for the story - come on . .Not that many . . Most are in it for the mass carnage they can bring about online - period.
Geasr is great, no doubt about that, but L4D is also about MP carnage, and one where you WILL have to work as a team. While they say you have to in Gears, many don't, in L4D, you simply won't survive if you don't.

While I disagree, I agree . . Odd one eh . . one of those catch 22 situations. R2 is even panned by some of the most respected media writers. One previewed BOTH R2 and KZ2 and had severe things to say about R2, yet gave KZ2 great [praise, and he was/is a Sony supporter. SO there's no bias there.

See, they can't even give it away (jk btw) . .I remember Gears 1 - you couldn't get the LE for anything less that $100 until a week or two after launch, now they have it at $30 below RRP before its release - makes you wonder - doesn't it ?

I'm the same, great guy to chat with, game left me a bit flat actually on the night. Not sure how the final product will go, but I'm not expecting HUGE changes or leaps and bounds from Gears 1.
Sure, it'll be good, but it certainly isn't the second coming of christ or anything like many of the Gears-mad fans seem to think it is. Left 4 Dead shows more promise imo
Well if I find out, I'll pop it up as soon as I can, I think GAME will have, and most likely out at Parramatta in the Sydney area as it's one of their biggest stores.

AFter having seen and read up on Resistance 2 and Kill Zone 2, KZ2 is going to whoop R2, and KZ2 will give Gears 2 a solid run for its money, that's for sure.
I'm a 360 fan, but I think they needed to move Gears a long a few notches, it feels more like Gears 1.5, not Gears 2.
And on the 360 side of things, Left 4 Dead is going to leave Gears 2 for dead. If you've seen any of the MP side of things of L4D, (

Yep, definitely is, besides, I've wanted to grow one back for some time now, perfect excuse to do so. And many gamers have some sort of mo or another, so it's an ideal time to make use of it . . and attend the Gala Events in their areas.
You should check the pics out from the various cities, looks like they are heaps of fun . . I'll be at the Luna Park one in Sydney come November 28th.
I know many will say, how can they be working on another game already. Thing is, they have been for around 6 months or more. It's just how game's cycle . . .
Point really is, will they really make a change in the franchise now, or will it be the same as the two previous ones. Personally I hope they do make a change, as the game could certainly do with one.
I wouldn't go that far with regards to R2, SOny previewers have not given it high marks when compared to KZ2, saying it was lacking in many areas, and simply a slightly polished version of the first. That was from Sony supportive previewers as well, so they aren't biased.
