There's no doubt that the social impact of the net, and gaming combined has a huge following. Plus it's a new medium in many ways. Many see the Social Networks as the next huge advertizing frontline. As more and more publishers grab hold of the social networking idea, they will rely less and less on mainstream ads and simply push online social networks, such as facebook, myspace etc etc.

Atari has been removed from the Stock Exchange Listings last week actually, but, we have to remember, that Atari as we know it, is actually 3 different companies, and can be quite confusing to follow what they are doing individually.

Have you been living under a rock for the last 10 15 years . .? SP games have been the backbone of gaming as such. MP is not the be-all-n-end-all of gaming. Many, and I mean MANY players do NOT want to mingle with all ensundary to play a game. They want to take it on as a single pursuit of personal gain.
You only have to look at both past and present, as well as future games many developers have made or are making.

I agree with you, as a SP gamer I prefer my games at my time, not when everyone else is available.
I'm tired of the bad manners of a huge proportion of online gamers, even in such simple games as Uno, we have turkey's taking off their cloths, embarrassing women, making some remove their tops and all kinds of terrible things that are not fit for family gaming.

I was impressed with the vids, but the screens let it down some what. But if it's anything Riddick: like Escape Butcher Bay, then it'll be great.
And it's funny because . . ?? I think it's great that there's some other place than NY being used as a base for a game. Especially this style of game.

Yeah, but that's a different type of "family fun game" . . . this would appeal to a different audience I'm sure. Not me personally . . . but it's interesting to see it added to the 360 line-up on disc, and seemingly not going to the PS3 . . . yet appearing on the PS2 and PC . . .
But then the PS2 outsells the PS3 currently for more family game sales, so it would make financial sense to do so.
I know the boys on this side haven't had problems locally, and they do say they have had several matches with guys in the US without too much Lag, yet others say it's extremely hard to have a good session without drop outs . .
SO I figure it's like most MP aspects, it just depends on where you are, and who's on your friends-list that you want to play alongside.

I think it's a distinct possibility . . . as it's not unusual for sales to still go strong on such titles well after launch . . .
Most games have an initial "2 week sale opportunity window" for major sales, but some buck the system, and continue to sell well for several weeks after that. I think it will come close . . .
Personally it's not a game I'm overly keen on, while I will get it, that's a given, basically for the Single Player rather than the MP side of it. It certainly looks a great deal different than the first one, much more believable scenes and the country shots have a certain deeper depth of field or something ?
But it is an early build, and still 6 months of being released. And I'd put money on it being around the 9th - 11th of November (US)

I don't think so somehow . . judging by the hit rates of the game on just about every internet source and from pre-order estimates and figures that I know of, the game will be sold out within days locally. Ninja Gaiden Sigma was just a rehash of Ninja Gaiden . . nothing really new or innovative, or earth shattering. It looked great, but it wasn't "new" that's for sure.
