This reminds me an awful lot about another game...but I can't quite put my finger on it hm...let's see

1) A bunch of company owned characters getting together

2) Cars and bikes

3) Character inspired tracks...

4) Random power-up given by boxes lined up in the middle of the road

Just can't seem to put my finger on it...

It's not as surprising as some of your might think. A while ago, J.Thompson gave a BS "truthful" review of GTA IV and gave it a 1/100...except, when looking for a link to it to post here...he is holding a 360 version...now I am confused...

1) Development on the 360 costs more than on the Wii

2) Natal has a different command output than the Wii remote. As of right now, I can't see too many different style games being put on Natal.

3) Wii still has much bigger install base. For $500, Natal isn't going to push Wii type numbers.

so uh...yeah, I don't think the Wii has anything to worry about.

Sounds more like a boss. That's who Miyamoto is now, he is a boss and people have to get everything approved by him.

And as one person already, they are Japanese, this kind of behavior is expected in their culture. They don't treat failure with cookies and pats on the back.

You were probably just doing it wrong...

Congrats, your keen sense of perception and ability to point out the obvious is quite amazing.

I think people need to take a chill pill here...Miyamoto is usually a pretty humble guy, and I think all he's saying here (granted i have not read the new NP) is that the new Zelda is still going to be easily recognized as a Zelda title, no first person zelda, no future-istic Hyrule with motocycle riding Link, it's still going to feel the same, which is good, because when a franchise is good like the legend of zelda, re-inventing the franchise is a needless risk.

Common sense is like fire for the trolls...I say we keep using it and maybe they'll retreat to their bridges...

Other developers have done worse, much worse. Remember the .hack games? 4 games, $200, for essentially nothing more than just story, mechanics never changed in such a way that impacted the game. There's also plenty of sequels that will just offer a new weapon or something and call it a day.

The game is looking like it will have a greater emphasis on Yoshi, which is cool, since he's the new mechanic of the game, and hopefully there will more to flying Mario. I loved SMG, so even ...

It's another niche title...I'm glad it existed but it was going to do so well compared to more traditional genres and franchises...that's just how the world works.

Well...in Twilight Princess he was more of a surprise twist ending boss. Like, Zant has Ganondorf's power...but then oh look, he actually came back! He had a much bigger role in Wind Waker.

ANYWAYS, I don't really think they need to get rid of him. If "Link" and Zelda keep reincarnating, why not Ganondorf. I am getting a little tired of the OoT Ganon constantly coming back for vengeance against Hyrule and the Hero or Time...but if they reincarnated him into a different...

I think the two titles were just never destined to become the super blockbuster hits some of thought they could be. Madworld has a pretty art style...but it was short and over the top, a niche title at best. Overkill was a rail shooter...and I know a fair number of people that won't bother with a game simply because it's a rail shooter and not an FPS.

That being said, I'm glad that the games worked out in the long-run.

Kid: Oh darn, this silly devise turned off my game console. (whips out DS or PSP)

I thought at the end of the first game you sort of see something like a robotic hand replacing her chopped off one.

Same here, this game is looking 100,000 times better than the first, and that's saying something.

Reviews are becoming increasingly irrelevant to the actual quality of a game.

6079d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

This is what I love about all these reviews coming out for this game. All the scores seem to indicate that the game was SSSSOOOOOOOOOO close to being in the really good game category.

Why give it a 3.9? What's wrong with a 4 at that point? Or IGN giving an 8.6...a still could get a 9 (although that one might be pushing it). Gametrailer gave it a 7.8...which is really no different than an 8 so why not give the game an 8?

Uh it kinda sucks. On one hand, some reviewers don't even give the Wii a chance, and thus judge this game way too harshly for elements that many other games have but are often ignored. On the other hand, some sources know their audience and to say The Conduit is bad will instantly kill the readership.

It sucks that due to personal circumstances I have to wait a month to play this game, but I think The Conduit it definitely going to be one of those games where the score of the re...
