"Overall: 7.5
With its wit and charm, there’s nothing else like Shiren the Wanderer. It’s one-of-a-kind and praiseworthy"
This leads me to believe that this 7.5 is not like other 7.5's we're use to.
Way to seemingly miss the point of the game...I'm sure the video that was watched (or the 10 minutes of maybe playing the game) really helped in writing this review.
I don't like this review.
The reviewer clearly didn't get the point of how the monsters interactions change the gameplay and are the twists that he demanded for.
Example, throwing certain items at monsters trigger different behaviors or even picking up certain items changes the battle.
I guess adventure games just don't work on the Wii as well, right GameInformer?
My gosh, don't even need to bother reading this entire review, game informer does a great job and judging games without even playing them...
Game Informer hates the Wii, if you read their reviews, they are amazingly inaccurate. Besides, do you remember their modern warfare Reflex review? They start off with "First person shooters on the Wii suck" which is a pretty big indicator on how "unbiased" they are. Also, despite the name, Nintendo Power is a very good source of reviews for all things Nintendo, I really like their reviews and trust them over GI and IGN.
Going down hill? I never thought they were ever uphill.
Not only does the two articles IGN wrote just offer pointless reasons to bash Nintendo, they also, seem to propagate this idea that game journalist know more than the game designers.
I sat down today and played Muramasa: The Demon Blade for hours just grinding and taking on other bosses. I couldn't even stand the whole thing of Infamous and Uncharted 2 was okay but not warranting another play through on any of the levels.
The Wii is a good investment to me, it probably will host the most unappreciated games this gen just because so-called "gamers" won't even give it a chance.
Why? The game sucked all around. So does the Sith Edition thing. Why would they do this when The Force Unleashed was pretty much the butt of modern Star Wars games.
Agreed...although the VGA's were pretty messed up on the Wii front. Madworld? Fun game yes, game of the year or best Nintendo game? Not by a long shot. Where was Muramasa: The Demon Blade? That at least should have been there.
I dunno, Uncharted 2 is a good game, but these dudes seem like jerks who don't know what they are talking about.
It was a pretty good game (since apparently it was released in the States a year before, so I've played it).
Sadly, it's not as good as the last one for the gamecube, but it has a good story for those who played and liked the last one.
Guys, don't pretend like MS and Sony weren't also trying to go for the casual market. Do you think all that extra multi-media stuff was put in there for the "hardcore ganmer"? Do you think Sony's "It only does everything" ad campaign is there to appeal to the gamer? Project Natal and the Sony Wand?
All three companies were trying to get some slice of the casual market, in fact, that is really what made the PS2 popular was that it was a multi-media device as w...
I love tearing up uninformed reviews. I really do, it's almost a pastime of mine really.
Here we go, but keep in mind, I'm not going to critisize the persons opinion, he is somewhat entitled to it, but simply correct a few, how should I say...errors:
"The game does feature a rather impressive cast of characters, though only a select few are available initially. Others can be unlocked as you play through the game."
I guess technically true...bu...
No one said we weren't giving it a chance. We gave it a fair chance....and it just kinda sucks.
So now difficulty is the primary factor of "casual" or "hardcore"? Then Wii Sports Resort is one of the most hardcore games out there since after a while, you can't even beat the computer.
Joking aside. I don't think Zelda games really need a difficulty setting, since the game is mainly about solving puzzles rather than fighting bad guys. It would be hard to make harder puzzles on a harder difficulty without changing the game entirely.
I think Z...
I don't think Link needs to talk, since more or less he represents the player as opposed to an actual character.
Other characters however, if they had voice acting it would only be enhance the experience.
If they guy suffers from all that stuff, just put him out of his (and our) misery already.
I'm pretty sure you can unlock Rosalina without Super Mario Galaxy, it's just faster if you do...
"Rosalina - With a Super Mario Galaxy save, win a series of Grand Prix cups/Without Galaxy save, Attain at least 1 Star Rank for all Mirror Grand Prix Cup"
Yeah, good luck Mr. Estavillo
New Super Mario Bros. Wii has the potential, wide marketability, big Nintendo mascot, very positive review scores. It will definitely be a close call, but this wouldn't be the first time a Wii exclusive outsold a multi-plat.
You think that would normally be the case...but seeing as this year alone seems to offer game like:
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom
No More Heroes 2
Monster Hunter Tri
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Metroid: Other M
Red Steel 2
Endless Ocean 2
Shiren the Wanderer
Legend of Zelda (Wii)
Fragile
Arc Rise Fantasia
Tales of Graces
(and I suspect) The Last Story
being all exclusive titles...it doesn't seem like that can ...
