If they can make the game 40 hours long while retaining the sheer awesomeness of Arkah Asylum, I may very well down from an awesome-attack.
I really hope this manages to deliver at least a solid, if not great, game. I love the Star Trek reboot (it now stands as one of my favorite films of all time), so a good game based upon it will make my day
As I said, it was the developers words, not mine. I'm only hoping that they manage it as it will be quite the technical feat.
Indeed, but they devs are hoping to ram absolutely everything from the PC version into the Xbox 360, so, fingers crossed, everything I read about the PC version will also be pertinent to the 360's version ;)
I'm looking forward to getting online with it today and see if my practice over the past week has made me a decent enough player to compete with those vicious people on Live.
Hint; the answer will be "hell no"
:D
I swear I never get bored of these articles :)
Personally I hold that games are merely a trigger, and not the origin of the problem. These people that go out and commit violent crimes etc. already have violence in their nature. At most, the game merely acts as a trigger for that violence. However, a film, piece of music, book or simple sentence said by a person could also trigger it.
It's already there, waiting to burst out. Don't blame games. The fau...
Reading this just makes more even more excited for when it finally hits my Xbox 360's disc tray. :)
It's being referred to as an "origin" story by Capcom and Ninja Theory. That would infer that its telling the tale of how Dante became the white haired badass we all know and love today.
This would also means it's a prequel to DMC3 as well.
Of course, they also seem to have changed some fundemental aspects of his past that fans thought was solid fact. Presumably, we'll find out the story as to why when we get the game.

While I agree that Halo has had a very large impact upon the shooter industry, I think that 343 are forgetting that Halo owes its existence to other games as well. What about ID's Wolfenstien 3D which pretty much gave birth to the genre (there were others before it, but it had the largest impact) and other games which helped to define the modern FPS genre.
Still, as I said, Halo has had a big impact on the FPS genre, Whether it's a good or bad impact is up to everybod...
Bring back Jazz Jackrabbit, I say!
I think another Gears game is almost a certainty. I'm hoping for a prequel set during the Pendulum wars or on E-Day itself.
Unreal Tournement would seem a logical choice as well.
Farcry 2 was a pretty good game. I actually spent most of my time on the map creation side of things :D
I definitely prefer a jungle styled setting. There's just something so cool about sneaking through trees lol.
Most of those shots look more like concept art than actually in-game graphics :D
The game is certainly looking good in terms of graphics. Here's hoping it delivers on the gameplay as well.
It is pretty damn cool :)
Sadly, I asked her and got this reply " you buy me an Aston Martin, I'll buy you the Skyrim CE". I didn't want to point out that, if thise were the case, I could simply buy myself the CE. She was holding a frying pan. I'm not arguing with that. Being hit by metal things often hurts
Absolutely. Between the comics, the books and the books that will be coming out in the future, the Gears universe is expanding rapidly. Plus count in little bits of information in the games themselves about the past and you've got a substantial amount of room for more games.
Plus, Epic can just add an entire new chapter to the history of Gears as and when they wish.
There's certainly room for a prequel set in the Pendulum Wars. Failing that; Gears Wars :D
I'm really looking forward to Human Revolution. If the promise of all this freedome lives up to itself, I'll be in heaven.
Agreed. With any major price cut you always get that immediate rush :)
I won't be one of them, though.
That was one of the dafter things Pitchford has come out with :D
I'm extremely excited about Dishonored. The world looks fantastic and the concept of being an assassin with supernatural powers is just spot on for me!
Plus, you can stop time, strap a bomb to a rat, possess the rat and then use it as a remote control bomb. Awesome.
I'm really unsure how I feel how about this. On the one hand, the fans make the game. Without them it's nothing. On the other hand, it isn't us that actually psyhically make the game. I mean, if I was making a game, I'd want to put my ideas in there, because it's mine :D
