I've been looking forward to Reckoning for some time now. Looking forward to getting my hands on the game next year :)
My own reason for getting both games is a simple; two games, twice the gaming joy.
I actually think Gears could have done with being released a tad early, around the start of this month. Currently the period leading up to Xmas is utterly swamped with titles, and a lot of gamers just can't get them all (we have an expensive hobby). But with Gears releasing just before the main part of the rush begins, it should give gamers plenty of time to save back up for the next big title.
For me, the correct use of music and sound in games can have a massive impact. It's the reason why I was happy to invest a large amount of cash in a set of headphones :)
Oh man, will I be sorry if my beloved console goes digital only. :)
No longer would I have a wall of my room taken up by those beautiful cases. No longer would I have the sweet scent of new game fill my nostrils as I read the game manual on the train heading home.
Say it ain't so, Sille, say it ain't so!! I beg of you!! :D
An external blu-ray player could be possible, but only for films, like they did with the HD player.
I highly doubt they'd suddenly try and incorporate such a technology into their games production this late into the 360's lifespan.
The thing is I don't see how anyone could really expect massive change to the series now. Before you jump on, just let me voice my logic here; when you release the first game in a series, it's fairly easy to expand on ideas in it for a second game, and even a third! But think how COD games there are now, and how much tricker it must become each time to add in new features. After this many games, what else can they actually add? It's more a case of tweaking what they've got. ...
This deserves an award! Not because of the article, but because of Picard!
There have been a couple of pretty big screw-ups this year, but I think 2011 will still go down as the year of awesome games, and lighter wallets.
P.S Couple of spelling mistakes in the article description alone ;)
Too many cooks spoils the broth :D
I just couldn't resist
I'm in the minority that actually prefers Oblivion to Daggerfell and Morrowind, though people seem to assume that means I hated the previous games. I don't, but there's just something about Oblivion :D
Oh aye, can't forget him :D Maybe I can get them both in a beautiful single crash.
Perhaps, but we can't keep stopping every story going through because it'll make fanboys unhappy. It's a valid story :)
I don't think I could pick between them for graphics. But Uncharted 3 would trump Gears in the art-style departement, I think
The multiplayer component of Brotherhood quickly became an addiction for me, so I'm looking forward to getting my stealth on later this year :)
I knew I shouldn't have traded Conviction in :D
I'm not sure by what you mean "F1 2011 HAs Already Gone Gold with preorders alone". Gone Gold simply means a games master disc (the completed product) has been sent to the factory and full production as now begun
Very true. I guess it depends on what you would define as "successful". Sadly, I do know several people who won't be picking up F1 because there's titles like Gears coming and they don't have the the spare cash to buy both.
I actually quite enjoyed Alpha Protocol, but it was the technical failures that let it down. And, thanks to bloody Metacritic, we won't get a sequel
I'd have to say that F1 2011 might suffer under the barrage of other games out there. Dark Souls may not do quite as well as it should, either.
Normally a single review doesn't make me consider a game, but the crew at GamerEuphoria are a good bunch and Sean does good work. His tastes usually seem to match mine, so I might just have to see about picking it up.
Had a quick blast a friends a few days back; not a scary game by any means, but a fun one :)
After playing it for *glances at calander* about 3 or 4 days now, I really don't think it's great. It's decent, and it's fun, but not great. But that's the singleplayer side.
In co-op it goes up to good :)
