Just to let everyone know that I contacted Microsoft to get their comment on all of this so that I can publish that as well. Lets hope whatever they have to say sheds some light on this whole thing.
I agree with that. At this point there's seems to be another reason to their refusals, but they're simply not telling us what that reason is.
It'll be interesting to find out, should they ever reveal it.
No, Portal: Still Alive (to give it its XBLA name) is actually only 628mb, which is pretty impressive.
The 2GB size limit for Arcade games is a actual hardware limitation, as opposed to a wierd choice by MS. As far as I'm away, anyway
Ah, in that case I do apologize, sir. From your comment I assumed you were referring to me as well.
I never said I was going to buy them ;) Chances are I won't be touching a Call of Duty game until the next one hits as I'm usually too busy.
I'm quite surprised that neither Portal 2 nor Deus Ex: Human Revolution made the list.
That's an interesting five games. I felt that AC: Revelation's writing wasn't up to the standard set by ACII and Brotherhood, but was still enjoyable, especially the last half hour of the game.
Batman: Arkham City was also highly enjoyable, but was pretty simple stuff.
I felt Brink had a great premise but it was never really fleshed ou...
Well, that's certainly.....extreme. I'm not even sure on what grounds he could of been planning to call the cops on. Identity theft?
Wait, does that mean every time I put a towel round my neck when I was a kid and pretended to be Batman it was actually identity theft!? Oh, crap. I'M TOO YOUNG TO BE SHOWER RAPED IN JAIL!!!!!!
I certainly feel that this DLC plan is a little overboard. If each pack costs just pennies then it won't bother me much, as having new DLC so frequently would help keep me interested, but you can pretty much bet that the DLC is going to be pricey as hell.
Do Elite members get this stuff for free or what? I'm not a member, so I'm a bit hazy on this.
I'm assuming you're talking about Microsoft? :D
It offers me the ability to watch funny cat videos evertime I get my ass kicked in on Battlefield 3. Once the cats have suffeciently cheered me up, I'm ready to go again!
Because it's not the fathers choice. There's nothing wrong with wanting an easier life for your son, but something like that isn't the fathere choice, it's the kids.
Y'know, I was going to make some clever joke here, but I just can't. I mean just look at that score. Nothing I can possibly say hurt the game any more than that score. Hell, I didn't even know Eurogamer had such a score.
That really depends. I didn't go into Brink with massive expecations because I knew it was a brand new franchise, and so I was only slightly let-down by it.
Biggest disapointment to me was Duke Nukem, because the franchise deserved better
It often feels like I'm on my own because I actually enjoyed the game. Do I think it was a great game? No, it had a lot of problems and faults, but I still enjoyed it. I found it rather ironic that people scream about developers never making anything other than sequels, yet when they finally try to make a new franchise everyone complains about it because they didn't get it exactly right in the first game. I believe Brink is a solid foundation to build from and I think it deserves a se...
It's the use of the word, "perfect", that's rather deceptive. A lot of sites out there don't class a 10/10 as a "perfect" game. I gave the game a 10/10 myself, but stressed that such a score doesn't make it "perfect". No game can ever be truly perfect, and it's all in the eye of the beholder.
You just know it's a slow news day when something like this appears and gets insta-approved :D
It comes down the your own experience with the game. In 70 hours of play, on a 360, I've not actually encountered many proble,s bar the ones caused by the recent update.
Most I had was AI doing a few wierd things, and a few instances of a dead body glitching through the floor.
I know there's bugs and glitches, and many of them simply shouldn't have gotten through testing. Others are understandable due to the amount of various elements within the game that have to work together; trying to test out all the variants would have been incredibly hard.
But the real question is this: have the bugs and glitches spoiled my enjoyment of the game? Do I love it anyway? Yup.
I didn't actually thing Brink was hyped up, really. Or at least I didn't really notice that much coverage for it.
As for Driver, I actually had quite a bit of fun with it. A lot of people went into it expecting something dark and serious, but really it's best not to go into it that as it's really more of a lighthearted game.
I'd say Modern Warfare 3 didn't live up to the hype. Now, before the fanboys jump on me, I'm not saying ...
It's just a joke, mate ;)
