I have to admit that I usually don't have the problem of games failing to match my expectations, simply because I've learned to moderate what I expect from a title.

Having said that, I did have hopes that X-Men: Destiny, despite knowing that the opposite was almost a certainty, would turn out to be a brilliant blend of satisfying brawling and RPG elements that let me created my own truly unique badass. Shame that it wasn't, then.

It is pretty hard not to get hyped up about any Lionhead game, simply because of a certain Peter Molyneux and his vast promises :D

I always look forward to another Fable game just to see what he's going to promise next!

The writer shows his ignorance and lack of research in two completely stupid statements. The first being that Epic made Bulletstorm, which is wrong as it was, in fact, created by People Can Fly, with Epic lending them a hand. The second was implying that Bungie made Halo Wars, which they did not.

It's had big influences on my life, yes. It introduced me to two of my best friends, which I'm ever thankful for.

It's gotten me through som rough times with my Cystic Fibrosis, giving me something to do and something to look forward to. It might sound pathetic, but sometimes you need that.

It got me involved in a clan full of friendly, fun people.

It encouraged me to become a member of the Xbox Ambassador program and try to...

I'm quite looking forward to Alamur, mostly because the team that's creating it is like some sort of dream-team of RPG creation. However, there's a pretty strong Fable vibe running through it at the moment, which worries me a little. Although I love the Fable series, I don't want a clone of it.

By our very nature humans are completely biased and opinionated creatures, driven by our own views. I've held for a long time that no review is unbiased or completely objective. The best you can hope for is thyat a reviewer tempers his opinion with objective reasoning, but ultimately it comes down to opinion.

It's these little stories that each of us take away from Skryim that makes it such a truly amazing game.

I discovered my horse's unique skills during a heated battle with a frost dragon on my way up the 7,000 steps. As I battled valiantly with the dragon my horse escaped the carnage by somehow climbing up a vertical cliff, then stood at the top and watched my epic fight, presumably enjoying the sight of me getting my head ripped off by pissed off flying lizard

Anyway, an enjoyable read.

My top Call of Duty game remains the original Modern Warfare, though Call of Duty 2 comes in a damn close second.

For me they nailed the pacing and gunplay perfectly in Modern Warfare, and the multiplayer was superbly designed and balanced, with Killstreaks serving to make the game more fun rather than just bloody annoying.

It very much comes down to personal opinion. The newer COD games are very much reaction based shooters. So far I've found that the pacing is actually closer to Black Ops tha Modern Warfare 2, which is fine by me as Black Ops was a touch slower than the others. Still quick, though.

Using old assets when making a new game is done almost continously, mate. It's far from new.

Hi mate,

According to the boys and gals over at Activision they're currently having trouble with the server due to the sheer amount of people who signed up for it. They're working on increasing the capacity of the service now and fixing the registration problems.

In short, patience is the key here, mate.

Hot damn, I just spotted a brilliant gap in the market for Activision:

" Call of Duty fanatics got you down? Threating your employees because there aren't enough copies of Modern Warfare 25.5? Well, don't feat any longer because we here at Activision have the solution. This handy Call of Duty branded metal tipped baseball bat will sort the problem out in a jiffy! Buy it now from your local retailer for just fifty quid!

Sequels are alays a tough one to judge, in my opinion. On the one hand, changing it too much alienates the fan base and generally makes it feels as though it's not part of the series. On other hand, failing to change anything makes the series stagnant.

Call of Duty is a prime example of both arguments: if they radically changed the game, then all those people complaining about it never changing would suddenly start complaining about how it isn't Call of Duty anymore...

The simplest but most effective tip: use some common sense!
Far too often do I meet Call of Duty players who seem to believe out manouvering or flanking an enemy player simply means moving around the other side of the truck.

One tip I would add to the list is to avoid bunching up closely with your team. While you do want to stick together, bunching up closely lets the enemy take down multiple targets with a singe grenade, RPG or even machine gun spray.

I actually think review scores are useful, it's just that reviewers has lost sight of the point of them, as have the gamers themselves, and that gamers often take them out of context and use them to brag about their games without reading the text, oftem using them as some sort of "proof" that their game is better than yours. That's just my view, though :)

No kidding, mate. I've got to try and juggle Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3, Skyrim and Revelations! And then Saints Row 3, NFS: The Run, LEGO Harry Potter, Halo: Combat Anniversery and then...... *eyes glaze over and froth starts coming out of my mouth* it's just too much.....I can't.....I can't..... ZOMG!!

A poor review filled with grammatical errors and spelling mistakes.

Also, I qoute from the review: "I have been playing Skyrim for a few days now:. Now, as someone who's doing a review of the game myself I fully understand that you sure as hell can't get full completion to review the game, as you'd end up going insane, but a few days simply aren't enough with a game like Skyrim to give a decent opinion on it. It also means that you shouldn't be sayi...
