I won't try to compare it to another game as that really wouldn't do it justice, but the Bioshock comparisons are fair in terms of the immersive first-person view it's going for.
The action is slick from the little I got play and works well. Again, a Bioshock comparison does work to a degree here: as you get more abilities it's all about learning how to best combine them. However, Dishonored is going to be more open than Bioshock was in this sense, though ob...
It's human nature to try and label things, even before we actually know what they are, so it's hardly surprising that they're trying to compare it to other things.
On another note, I'm really looking forward to Dishonored! Had a chance to play it for a short while and loved ever moment of it. Posessing rats FTW! :D
Somehow I can't but help question an article like this when it's on a Black Ops 2 dedicated website :D
It's playable and compared to other movie tie-in titles it's actually one of the better ones. Compared to other games in general it's just dull.
I couldn't actually call it bad because it doesn't do anything wrong, it just doesn't do anything right either :D
The key is the fact they've named it an expansion pack. Provided it's a true expansion pack then it should, hopefully, be worth the cash.
When the press release for this turned up in my inbox the biggest bloody grin came across my face. It only got bigger as I read through it.
Looks like I'll be heading back into Steelport this Summer, then :D
One thing we should keep in mind, though, is that this is Kevin O' Leary's personal opinion. He may work for EA, but that's his personal Twitter account.
He is allowed to have an opinion :D
Though he should know by now that anything he says will be taken by the media as some sort of official statement
For the first time in a while I'm really quite looking forward to a Call of Duty game, and that's largely because of the change in setting. Now, don't freak, I'm not saying I hate the series, but I simply didn't get excited about them.
The change in year gives Treyarch a little more freedom in how they create the game. Because it's still within our forseeable future there are limitations, but with less constraints I'm hopeful that it'll give ...
My copy turned up this morning, so that was a pleasant surprise! I'm hoping it's good as Prototype had a lot of potential that it didn't quite manage to deliver on.
I actually quite enjoyed the Gears story. There's a bit more depth to the world than you might think, but the important thing to remember is it's supposed to be a gruff, macho storyline, and that's exactly what it does.
Going in to it expecting some deep, dramatic tale that makes you question your morals is just daft. It's supposed to be fun, over-the-top and full of mayhem.
I've played all four DMC games and loved all of them except for one, but I'm still more than willing to give this a go.
In a world where people complain almost all the time that developers and publishers aren't willing to try new and radical things with their franchises it's a nice to see.
Now, all I have to do is hope they don't much it up and provide an interesting new take on DMC. If they do muck up, I'll be getting the pitchfor...
How could you actually review a reviewer? How could you grade their performance?
AN authors writing style, be it in a book or a review, is a very subjective thing. For example I like lenghty reviews that break down almost every element of the game into separate pieces, while other people prefer their reviews short and sweet, always sticking to the major points.
Reviews are already a subjective thing because while one person might like a game the next pers...
Does anyone else get the feeling that gamers are now just protesting about Bioware because other people are protesting against them?
Well, that's all very well and nice, except for the fact that this news piece doesn't actually give an exact release date for any of those games. Instead we're simply told that these games will be part of something called Arcade Next starting in "spring".
No offense, guys, but your news title is a bit misleading on that one.
EDIT: Glad to see you've fixed the article to include the actual release dates. Might want to add the pri...
Had I not already played the game I would have walked away from this review with absolutely no knowledge of the title in question. It just doesn't really say that much about the gameplay, the options the game provides or anything else.
ah well.
On another note, I quite enjoyed the game. It offered a surprising amount of depth for a Tower Defense title, but did need so rebalancing in areas and the AI doesn't really present much challenge in the sin...
Just to point out that the petition created clearly states that they're not claiming that they're "entitled" to a changed ending nor that Bioware owe them anything.
Very enjoyable article that raises some interesting questions and poses its argument very well.
Whether it's true or not is, of course, the big question, and one that is tough to answer, and yet the clues are there to support it. In particuilar, Shepards eyes cought my attention the most and the way they changed seemed to be a massive indicator that something strange was going on.
Should this turn out to be true, then Bioware could have pulled of some...
Ouch! Well, I'm having a lot of fun with it, personally. Normally I'm not in for Tower Defense games as I find them too simple to hold my interest, but Ardania offers a surprising of depth, though it does have a bit of a learning curve.
It's easy to assume the game isn't well balanced, which, to a degree, is true, because it's incredibly hard to stop some troops, but with a little experimentaion and planning you can find a counter tactic that works.
Because not everyone disliked the ending would seem to be the obvious answer. You disliked it, but the reviewer may have quite enjoyed it.
Also depends which ending the reviewer got, since there's more than one.
I have found it odd that Freemasonary has been popping up a lot more than usual lately. :D
