Depending on how early builds they are, they are naturally more prone to dead pixels because they usually aren't tested as extensively as those that go to retail. By "they" I mean builds that are never going to retail of course.

I had a dead pixel on one of my older phones and it was annoying as hell, even though I didn't use it nearly as much as I use my SGS2 for example. Let's just hope that Vitas are built from quality hardware and aren't prone to...

I prefer singleplayer over multiplayer, but I think that multiplayer is becoming more and more important nowadays. And regardless of my personal preference, I have nothing against it as long as I keep getting deep singleplayer adventures and stories too.

But IMO multiplayer isn't a necessity in all games, especially if it's shoehorned in just to have it, because most other games have it too.

249$ is definitely not too much for Vita. The launch games already look almost as good if not as good as PS3 launch titles. And as icing on the cake, the launch games are very impressive and there are a lot of appealing games announced to be released after launch too.

For me personally PS Vita's launch lineup, hardware and other features are more compelling than those of 3DS even after considering the difference in price.

Btw, I don't think of phones ...

One more reason to boycot GameStop. I buy everything new when possible anyway, and if you want to really support the developers, I advise you to do that too.

There was something wrong with the aiming. It wasn't anything too bad. When you tilted the analog stick it was not sensitive enough until halfway, and then it jumped a lot, but still didn't feel right. This isn't coming from someone who wasn't paying attention, because I have platinum from the game.

The point is, the issues were nothing game breaking, but the aiming was a little bit weird.

I get where you're coming from. All I'm saying is that this wasn't as game breaking as many people say it is. Game breaking is something that makes it impossible to play or complete a game. Since it was very possible to get platinum from this game even before the patch.

And yes, I completely agree that they should've found and fixed this well before release. But shouldn't ND get at least a little bit of credit for coming up with a patch fairly soon? Becaus...

I'll get it early next week, pre-ordered from Amazon.co.uk.

All PS3 owners hate Halo? I only have a PS3 and Halo is almost the only FPS game I actually like to play for longer than 30 minutes.

First of all I was able to platinum the game before the patch and despite the slight problems I had with aiming, I adjusted during 1 playthrough on normal and played through the game on crushing. So that tells me that the aiming wasn't as game breaking as some are making it seem like. Secondly, there are developers who take even longer or don't patch their games at all. There was a problem that wasn't even game breaking and ND fixed it within a couple of weeks. Can we stop nit pic...

Would you lend me that crystal ball?

It's pretty stupid that people are saying that FF13-2 will "be trash like 13 was." First of all, 13 wasn't trash, it just wasn't quite up to the standards of previous FF titles. It was a decent/pretty good game. But for some people these days it seems like only perfect is good enough. I was disappointed with the game too, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it was trash. But hey, that's the cool thing to do rig...

@ash_divine

I see what you mean, but it doesn't necessarily have to be done in battle everytime. I think the best thing would be to otherwise keep the battle system mostly as it is, but incorporate a system similar to FF12's gambits. That way you could at least change the order and priority of spells in different classes for your 2 other characters from the menu. That would be a major improvement.

Another easy but a huge improvement would be to allow ...

Final Fantasy XIII's combat system was fundamentally broken IMO. I want more control. If I can't tell my saboteur what spells to cast and in what order, I can't honestly say it's a good system. Having full control of only 1 character at a time sucks. Why should we not be able to tell our other 2 characters exactly what to do in combat? Otherwise I liked the idea of Paradigm Shift, but I was bothered by the lack of control.

Is this a widespread problem? That's the first time I've heard of such issue with U3.

5327d ago 5 agree0 disagreeView comment

I'm pretty sure they released it already. At least there was some patch it installed and after that I noticed I had no problems with the aiming anymore whatsoever. Though it's possible that I just had adjusted for the weird controls by that point and that first patch was for something else.

It's more like removing a steering wheel and pedals from a car and replacing it with two sliders, which are placed in the centre of the windshield.

"I predict Androids in the future will give consoles a very tough time for the money. Personally i would like handheld devices which support bluetooth controllers and come with built in HDMI. DEVs will surely release their games on it. "

That sounds fine and dandy all right, but how about performance? Despite all these uninformed articles touting games on phones and tablets "looking as good as console games", they're actually ...

It still lacks the games that come even close to the games on Vita and 3DS. And who wants to carry a controller around for playing on the go? Vita and 3DS are a lot better for mobility (1 device vs 2) and also have superior software support. For a dedicated gamer the Vita or 3DS are still better choices. A lot of the same things apply when thinking about tablets vs home consoles.

Shortly put, some casual gamers will most probably move on to smartphone or tablet gaming. But ha...
