I certainly hope that existing pokemon will have their evolution chains expanded. There's still a lot of room for babies and 2nd/3rd evolutions in the pokedex.
On another note, I just realized that X/Y are going to be the third set of pokemon games in 3 years. That's crazy. After this they should wait a bit like they used to.
There's so many awesome songs/themes in the Zelda series. Here's a few of mine:
The Forest Temple theme from OoT. I love how eerie that music was. It was almost like something you couldn't see was messing with you. Slowly getting closer and closer, only to fade away temporarily and come back.
Wind Waker's Great Sea music. Loved the adventurous tone it had.
Clock Town theme from Majora's Mask. This always pops into my head ...
I wanted the Layton game, but by the time I found out about this, they weren't shipping it anymore. I don't have a Best Buy near me so store pick up wasn't really an option.
I only have the 3DS right now, but I would love to have both of them. Both of them offer different experiences, cater to different crowds, have different philosophies etc. They're different enough for them both to exist comfortably in the market.
The whole handheld console war thing is stupid. It's even more petty than the home console fights IMO. At least in those, you're comparing platforms that have a lot of common goals, target audiences, etc. The Vita and 3DS...
It had a few neat applications, but a lot games used it for boring crap. Although, as a kid I loved that you could print off stuff like HoF rosters and Pokedex certificates from the Pokemon games.
I played the demo and loved it. I had Shadow Dragon for the DS and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I no longer own that one.
I'm torn. I have money stashed away for Animal Crossing, but the Demo has tempted me.
I know where you're coming from, but I appreciate these kind of things sometimes. I don't check IGN everyday, and this sort of tells me to check in that day.
Can't wait for the festivities. I wonder how much we'll actually get to see. I don't think they need to show too much on the 20th. I think we'll see the system/controller and some sort of graphical demonstration, along with general announcements like 3rd party studios working on it. I would save any huge game announcements for June. IMO.
It's certainly looking like it's the PS4. I cannot wait. Yeah, February 20th will be awesome, but my eyes are aimed at June. This is going to be an amazing E3. Sony and Microsoft will be showing off their software/hardware, and Nintendo, in addition to it's promised big guns, will almost surely have something awesome hidden away. E3 2013 will completely erase the non-news of last year.
He has points that have at least some merit, but the way this guy constantly runs his mouth about it makes me wonder.
I think he publicly said that he's peeved at how secretive Nintendo is and that they won't tell him anything.
I know the Wii U has a set of well documented flaws, but I think there might be something more personal here as well.
It is a great game, but it could have been so much more awesome if the levels were bigger and had more things to do in them. Some of those levels were really cool, but they were over before you knew it. That aside, it was still an awesome game. I really want them to take another crack at it on the 3DS in the future, though.
I'd like to see them try something with AR. I feel they could do creative things with that.
I also want them to use PWT again. Such a great concept and it'll be a shame if it was a one-off.
New Pokemon types. I think there's like 40-50 combinations they haven't used yet.

This is going to be a bit hard for me because there's so many that I feel are worth mentioning, but I'll try:
1: Ocarina of Time- This game started it all for me in so many ways. I owe this game a lot. Everything about this game was awesome. From the characters to the music. What's crazy is, I've beaten this game at least 15 times, yet I still find at least one new tidbit that I didn't know was there before.

Don't know if this ship has sailed yet, but I would love for Shanoa from Order of Eclessia to be in a Smash game. Her glyph system would provide plenty potential for attacks. At any rate, she's one of my favorite Castlevania characters and would love her to show up in some form(assist trophy).
I think, like the Wii, Nintendo is going to have to lead by example and sort of show third parties via their first party games what they pictured when making the gamepad. I'm not sure we've seen that yet.
I loved how he basically said that he wasn't satisfied with how much change Skyward Sword brought. That's huge. It shows that they have an appetite to really challenge some of the mechanics of the OoT era.
When Skyward Sword came out, it made me think "Maybe this is the start." in regard to them changing the Zelda series. I'm very happy that they want to continue doing what SS started instead of it being a one-off.
This looks awesome. It's obviously a Xenoblade game going by how the combat went and the look of the bar at the bottom. The tease with the blonde haired guy wasn't even neccesary.

30 minutes is plenty of time for a notable reveal accompanied by a couple of smaller ones or updates on known games. Nintendo Directs aren't meant to be E3-esque 90 minute info dumps. They usually choose only one or two things to touch on. It's a short burst format that gives games a chance at having the spotlight.
Nintendo could get creative with their release calender. Have a big gun or two come out during the "Drought" periods of the PS4/720(Every new system has one early on). If they can time it right, it could make the system look appealing to people looking for that 2nd system.
