I'm already loving the soundtrack and the stages look like they ramp up in difficulty quite nicely. It's good to see this Kickstarter darling coming along as nicely as it has.
This looked like a pretty cool game just for the fact that we don't get bullet-hell FPS games very often.
Bandai Namco actually recently used one of Jonz' trailers for the Renualt promo, heh. So don't be surprised to see them using more community trailers to promote the game.
This guy seems to forget that the media and critics ATTACKED gamers BEFORE GamerGate became a trending hashtag. It was the combination of protecting corrupt practices and the "Gamers are Dead" articles that helped fuel #GamerGate.
Why would people disband when #GamerGate was the reaction to the media attacking the games industry? And why would gamers concede to a group of liars who have done nothing but demonize and devalue the public image of the industry?
Were you watching in 4K? Because in 4K the interiors look great.
But isn't it possible to just not monetize Nintendo videos and keep monetizing everything else? Does it really have to be all or nothing?
Shouldn't this be a rumor instead of a news bit then?
It is a solid create-a-fighter; the way players can evolve and grow their character over the course of the game is great. There's also plenty of visual options to help your character stand out... it's a really good feature and surprisingly well polished.
I think it's a bit unfair to review Early Access games only because they're still actively in development. I've seen some Early Access reviews where people were judging it as if it were a completed game, even though they're far from finished.
Early Access "reviews" should actually be treated as previews.
Well look at it this way: if you want to see certain game assets in HD you get the PS4 version.
When you need to spank some butt (bad guy butt, of course) you just remote play from the PS4. You get the best of both worlds.
Also, if you need a little private time with the game... because the TV might be occupied, remote play makes it a perfect option to really beat off... bad guys.
So all those people who still enjoy Super Mario 64, Super Metroid, Mario Kart 64, Ocarina of Time, Sonic 3 and tons of other countless classics are "not playable anyway"? Are you serious?
Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 are still worth playing and both are well over a decade old. Just because a game is old doesn't make unplayable. Games like Baldur's Gate, Jagged Alliance and Fallout 2 are still highly replayable classics.
Anyone willing to...
A basic quad-core with a 460 GTX or higher is good enough to run most games on Dolphin at 60fps.
Google up the Game Journo Pros and take your pick.
Gotta agree with Captain Obvious...
When monopolized media institutions can make or break indie and mid-budget devs and they're using this power to make their friends into something while trying to sink those they feel are competition, SOMETHING needs to be done.
You may not be bothered about a hobby that a lot of people love, but a lot of devs are in this as part of their livelihood. Having corrupt journos jeopardize their careers over hissy fits, nepoti...
You know what's sad? When a total conversion mod captures Aliens better than the AAA games.
That would be fine and dandy if Iwata didn't already say that they won't be sharing details until 2016.
Iwata isn't known for trolling, so I tend to trust that if he says nothing is coming until 2016, I'm inclined to believe him.
I tend to doubt it.
The likelihood is that they'll announce the NX in 2016 and maybe launch in 2017. If they're absolutely desperate they might rush it to market in 2016 but that's just asking for another disaster if they don't have a lot of dev support and strong first-party software lined up. Given that Smash Bros and Mario Kart 8 just launched last year for the Wii U, I highly doubt they'll have a stable line-up of exclusive titles ready for 2016.
Dat trap.

$67 billion in hardware.
That's not including software sales.
That's actually quite massive.
This is actually very illegal. Fines can go from between $1,000 up to $100,000.
Chris Grant is usually pretty responsive and helpful, but he was completely silent when I asked him about Polygon's policies relating to what is essentially the internet domain version of Wall Street's insider trading.
