I get it, this is news of a Sony advertisement.
@ wageslave
I can see where you're coming from on NG2 - since 360 is lacking in hack and slash games, you have a large instal base waiting to buy this game.
BUT at the same time you should appreciate that MGS4 will sell a lot too because PS3 fans are all REALLY hungry for their first ever good game after more than a year.
Funny, its quite the other way for me. After Uncharted, I've only played Hotshots Golf on PS3 from time to time and occasionally fool around with Singstar with some friends. Unreal was bought and sold within 3 days and there's nothing left to play on PS3 that I don't prefer to play on 360.
As for Wii, I'm still on SMG, No More Heroes, Brawl and looking to get so many more titles.
This is one of the very few games coming out on the PS3 that I am looking forward to. It had better be good.
And now we're into name discrimination...?
It's not what I said btw, it's what I read. Except that "too generous" is my opinion based on the substance of the review.
SOE has made MMOs for PS? Sorry I didn't realize PSN was that capable.
Not a flattering review.
Good graphics but interface issues, vastly inferior online experience, unrealistic invincible cars, marginally improved AI and most importantly driving simulation does not match Forza. A worrying taste of things to come, whenever that is.
8 is too generous.
NO. That's 23 bonus discs.
Yes, once companies see how Nintendo and 360 are soundly trouncing PS3 and stealing the once dominant market share Sony held, they'd tend to believe that there's room for more competition in the console war.
Sony, Sony, Sony.
One baby step first before trying to fly... let's see Home first shall we?
Hello doodle aka tidus aka shmee aka nasim aka all the other accounts that are disagreeing with me.
Please don't take my personal sentiment in the wrong way. Unlike you who are still stuck with a PS2 playing pirated games, I, as an owner of all 3 current gen consoles, am genuinely happy that there's some glimmer of hope that I'd be playing more games on the PS3 than just using it as a media console. Anyone who denies this present sorry state of affairs for the PS3 obviously d...
Well I'm glad the PS3 is hopefully good for something.
You didn't have to get so pre-emptively defensive about GTA IV.
So what else have you been playing apart from yesteryear's Warhawk?
I've been playing Lost Odyssey and now looking to get Bully Scholarship Edition as well as R6V2 on the choice console for multiplayer games.
Its hilarious how people jump to conclusions from sales figures. The only reasons more people are buying PS3 are because of the price cut and the blu-ray victory. Nothing else has changed about the PS3, certainly not in terms of games. When 360 does their price cut, you'll also see a sales surge.
Wii certainly deserves to be where it is in the console war. I own all 3 consoles and in terms of usage, it is a tough fight between Wii and 360. Wii has the strongest line-up these few months followed by 360.
I don't know what the jubilation is for. When you drop prices and become a cheap Blu-ray player when Blu-ray has just claimed victory, you do expect more sales.
Now for the more important question - it is already 3 months into 2008 and where's the gaming content at?
It is a rare and precious moment whenever there is anything new on psn.
It appears that someone who used to do sanitary washroom duties at one of Microsoft's more obscure offices was recently given the sack and he's still seething with anger.
So much for MGS being PS3 exclusive.
For those who are too lazy to read or simply refuse to read objectively and impartially, the analysis appears to be in favour of Wii and 360.
And as any educated person would have guessed, the analysis has also confirmed that more PS3s were sold in February because of the price drop (and I would say, nothing more).
