Hate to say this but Microsoft won't be able to accomplish what Nintendo did with non-gamers 'cos the magic of Wii is in the controller. But it is always a good idea to expand the repertoire of games.
Its not that they're picky with games, its that they're culturally different and won't buy into games that they don't identify with.
And whose fault is it that there are no proper tools? What does it matter that the cell might be that alien artifact that you claim it is if no one knows how to use it?
You have a point there, but the format war is not just about movies. Same argument for PS3 isn't it, that Blu-ray was meant for storage of data for games and not movies?
You really think Sony in its wounded state can afford to take another gamble and make Blu-ray standard in their Vaios after PS3? Good luck to them and their investors if they do so.
All their computers? That's what Toshiba is doing. HD-DVD will be standard in all laptops. And that's what will make the difference.
No, Apple and Dell won't include Blu-ray player into their computers until they are sure that the mass market is ready for it and they can sell it at a profit.
This is what I call brilliant strategy, which Sony fans will never understand.
Sony is bleeding dry from the initial high production costs of including Blu-ray in PS3, and the gamble hasn't paid off 'cos PS3 is selling like yesterday's poo thanks to Microsoft and Nintendo.
The production cost of HD-DVDs have gone down by now, so Toshiba won't have to cushion as much losses by including HD-DVD players in their laptops. We all know Toshiba laptops will sell like h...
After Forza 2, every other driving game is rubbish. Yes, GT series included.
How else can they dismiss what an insider has to say about the plight of Sony?
Mac, I'm glad you understand only half of what my screen name implies, but what bothers me is that you understand absolutely nothing of what is happening to your Almighty Saviour Sony.
Worldwide lay-offs within a few months of launch gives you an idea of just how much the beloved PS3 is hurting Sony. They may have covered up the pain up till now, but the signs are showing that the ship's sinking faster than the Titanic. You loyalists better stop waiting and waiting and waiting for Final Fantasy and MGS4 and Gran Turismo whatever other Potential miracles - because unlike you, SONY CAN'T WAIT. So put your money where your mouth is and go buy a dozen copies of each of those...
Time to go back to school, droids.
So far, it has been shown that:
Expensive Console + No Games = low PS3 sales.
For the rest of this year, outlook for PS3 is still:
Expensive Console + No Games.
Therefore, the outlook for PS3 sales for the rest of the year is...?
Opinion: PSP online features edge out DS
Fact: DS sales annihilate PSP
Conclusion: Opinions don't matter
Yep, misplaced loyalty with Sony begets a shaft up your @ss. Be forewarned fanboys.
There's nothing wrong with the PS3 is probably the best news ever for PS3.
Ha! A poor excuse to cover up the limitations of the PS3.
Potential. The new name for a flop.
Priceless to see how PS fools malign the father of their one and only beloved FF series - just like how a bit(h bites the hand that feeds it. The fanboys can't deal with the fact that in this genre of games, Xbox360 will have Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Final Fantasy while PS3 will only have their 1-trick pony Final Fantasy that isn't developed by Phony anyway. Go cry a river already!
Lol! Which planet do you live in? LittleBig? In this reality, its Microsoft and Nintendo who are in a position to consider a price drop at this time. You fanboys can't really be that cruel to want Sony to bleed even more can you?
And that comment about Sony's lineup...
