So what JRPGs are you Sony droids playing these days? Or western RPGs? Or fighting games? Or racing games? Or any game at all??
My exact sentiments when RFOM 2 and Motorstorm 2 were announced.
Lair is a good indication of the true power and potential of the Sixaxis.
Reading your review, I'm surprised you gave it a 4.0. The pros you have highlighted appear to be a lot more than the cons. I think you might have let your personal dislike for the genre get in the way of a fair review. Just curious, did you like Animal Crossing?
When it keeps happening like that, does it matter whose fault it is that the game is inferior? From a consumer's point of view, the end result is still that PS3 owners have less games worth buying from an already small library.
I played the PS3 Japanese version of the game and my rating of the game is no more than a 5.5 with graphics hovering around that score as well. I figured the 360 version would be slightly better, but surely not that much better as rated by you?
The PS boys are lying to themselves. There's still nothing for them now, and nothing for the foreseeable future. I have a PS3 sitting at home doing nothing for the past few months except playing movies, the occasional Singstar (UK ver) and Hotshots Golf 5 (Jap ver). And sadly it appears that this will continue for months to come.
However many zones this site tries to create and moderate it can't hide the fact that this place is the breeding ground of Sony extremists who hate because PS3 STILL has no games worth talking about. The truth of the matter is that the only potential Halo killer is the Gears of War franchise - sad for PS3 owners, but true.
I can vouch for the fact that Folklore is a boring joke and that Lost Odyssey, apart from a few technical flaws, is an enjoyable game.
I guess they expect more people will be buying blu ray players since the sentiment is that HD-DVD has lost the format war.
If there are so many good games on PS3 why am I constantly still waiting to buy one? Uncharted is as good as it gets so far, and while it was enjoyable, it didn't last that long.
You won't be disappointed, this game is amazing and captivating.
Stop lying to yourself just because you're still waiting for PS3 games. I'm playimg the game and there's zero load time into and out of battle unless you count the obligatory battle opening scene as load time.
This game is absolutely fantastic. And I'm someone who hated Blue Dragon.
Again, the point is made that 360 is the choice console for gamers.
Does it matter so much to the gaming industry that Sony succeeded in selling many of their consoles to videophilles?
They don't have any games to play yet in 2008 that's why.
I've seen and test played LO and it is mindblowingly beautiful. Those who were let down by Blue Dragon (like myself) should not be deterred 'cos LO is on a different level altogether. A definite winner if you're into JRPGs.
Wow look at that line up for PS3! 2 months into 2008 the year of the PS3 and the signs are all there! PLAY BEYOND!
They say 2008 is the year of the PS3 but a month has gone by and nothing on the shelves for the tards while 360 kicks the year off with a gorgeous epic.
I downloaded both versions and they look about equal. I guess it is a good thing for PStards that this title went multiplat. It is obvious that Capcom has worked very hard to max out the power of the Cell so that the PS3 version stays competitive with the 360 version.
While I hated Blue Dragon, LO is a great JRPG, definitely much better than any JRPG across all consoles so far.
