Limited edition maybe?
I understand where he's coming from though and I have to admire his transparency so much. I didn't really gel with the cover at all but the gameplay footage has had me stolen since I first saw it - nothing short of the devs attacking with me my own severed arm would make me consider skipping out on Bioshock Infinite.
Yeah it's called capitalism. Consumers have the RIGHT to reject products they deem unsatisfactory and it isn't my fault if half these companies were great developers but terrible businesses. It happens. It happens in movies, inventions, television, art, science, music and just about everything else. Talented people who don't play the game right fall flat on their face it is not some evil exclusive to video games.
What!? Bio shock didn't feature mature themes? It was basically an essay on atlas shrugged and examined capitalism, free venture and objectivism. Not only this is a well understand point to the game but it was so heavily built upon in bio shock 2 with the even more obvious commentary on socialism that it should be freaking obvious to anyone writing the article. It almost raises the question of whether the author even bloody played the original.
It doesn't. Watching kickstarters fail sucks but i don't get how anyone thinks that hardcore gamers give a crap about this. If I wanted to do Kung fu I'd learn it - making me dance around will only highlight the sad reality that I'm not Bruce lee rather than further immersing me in that fantasy. Not only has this been pointed out since the wii it's been proven repeatedly by motion control's total failure at every attempt to capture the market. This is what makes it so ...
For me borderlands 2 has dominated the most but far cry 3 looks soooooo fucking good it's ridiculous. Haven't touched CoD since MW2 - I thought it had lost touch by then but it usually makes enough money to build a new HQ out of. As in literally like a money fort but thirty stories high or some stupid crap like that. Blops and it's sequel (which, much like the game, is the noise a turd makes when it splashes in the toilet water) undoubtedly have MoH beat since that's the only ...
As it stands at this resolution it looks like Stalker but a little bit worse.
The masquerade jumps to mind.
Yeah and we totally didn't see through it, and your terrible design strategy as a company has nothing to do with unreal's laughable domination of the cry engine or your best franchises struggling to break even.
Crytek's have to be some of the stupidest developers I've come across. Simply because they have such technical and artistic scope and they piss it all away on a boring linear shooter and then get stunned that their games never sell excessively. There...
I agree. A more controlled arc is clearly what they're after considering the direction they took in mass effect 3; not to mention the universe will shine a little more brightly if it's concealed behind a tighter setting. Don't get me wrong I love mass effect's galaxy trotting and visuals but I think the art style would do better with a setting that isn't so.... white and space ship-y. Yeah there are lots of places in between that rock but there's a lot of white space s...
To be fair platform exclusives with Microsoft are a confusing affair. Look at fable and gears of war for example - and there were a bunch of rumours floating around.
Although to be fair, not really interested. First one was great but the others were a major let down for me. Just kinda hoped to see exclusivity die a miserable death like it should - that should do something to silence the fanboys. Not to mention the childish attempts by publishers to create their own mini-mark...
"A comedy makes us think: it proposes a ludicrous situation, and it makes us think about it."
Like say a character who's so ridiculously egotistical that he is incapable of recognizing the fact he's the villain? And then have this villain opposed by a bunch of greedy mercenaries in it for the loot? So in a story of liberation and freedom it's not a tale of heroes against selfish corporate greed it's a tale of selfish corporate greed against false her...
To be fair it just sounds like he's not a gamer. He makes one potentially hazardous comment (some games have no story whatsoever like hack and slash) but he makes it so clear he knows nothing that it shouldn't be taken seriously. He doesn't impinge on them as being rubbish either, like The Critic That Shall Not Be Named and a lot of people I know.
I think the thing I want the most would be a three thousand word essay repeatedly highlighting the literary and storytelling techniques raped by ME3's ending. Outside of that my time back would be nice, or a dimension to an alternative reality where EA didn't destroy nearly everything they touch.
There's a bit of paradox to anyone who has a job that's basically talking. While social etiquette generally keeps the rest of us from flying off inside our own arses and basing our opinions off little more than stupid and incorrect representations of reality there's nothing stopping critics from doing this. They don't have to justify their opinions and they spend so long crying that they don't have to justify their opinions that what you end up with is a bunch of gamers ta...
This sounds like pretentious trite - this might be an interesting experiment with an actual physical cube but fuck me if I'm going to chip away at a black cube for what will inevitably be something stupid. Unless this thing results in your phone 3D printing you copies of a good fable sequel then I just can't feasibly imagine what virtual item would be so enticing.
What's worse Peter Molyneux has been shoveling out disappointment since I first played black and whi...
As single player games like halo or cod can become juggernauts off their muliltiplayer modes then we're not gonna stop publishers from thinking its the balls. They can't quite appreciate that some games just suit it more than others.
Yeah the picture and article are in no way suggestive of a wider issue here. And western or not free speech is still part of Japan so get over it.
They shouldn't have to. Freedom of speech? Or is everyone just forgetting this little cornerstone of western civilisation!?
Yeah, hasn't it knocked out the power in a lot of the affected areas as well? So how the hell do they expect people to play/pay for games?
The next offer from ubisoft I imagine will be PS3's for blind kids, guitar hero for the cold stone deaf and audiosurf for the epileptics.
I think capitalism and communism have some real life relevance... I mean from the Cuban missile crisis to the various revolutions through out the world I struggle to see how it's not relevant.
"What would happen if there was a society based on these principles?"
I'm trying to remain understanding of you're point of view but it's difficult when you've asked that question. It's so bad I've had to come back to comment on it ...
