Yeah I'd agree. Delaying a game for quality is a nice sign of commitment. I know Bethesda have a lot of angry fans who are justified but there's a huge fanbase for a reason. Frankly prey 2's new direction looked really different but inherently difficult to make. Prey was so linear and simple - human head studios have yet to prove they can make a competent modern shooter let alone reinvent the genre with mass effect style dialog, borderlands loot and mirror's edge parkour. That...

If a pc port doesn't work with a keyboard and mouse it IS the worst port ever. Mouse and keyboard matters to pc gaming - if it doesn't bother you then congratulations, go play the damn game on Xbox but I'd describe playing on anything less than a keyboard and mouse as comparable to having to play with my feet. There is no getting over it, there's buy or no buy and if a company is so stupid they put time and effort into a port but dont even bother to think of WHY it is being ma...

Don't like GFWL because it's too much of a pain so I won't play this but it's worth noting that it would be easier to pirate it. That's just a fair point to make. However I have no intention of ever purchasing this game so it leaves me no choice other than to just not play it.

But generally - yeah you shouldn't pirate this. We cried like hell to get it, just be plain stupid to throw it back in their faces.

I'd completely agree. The trailer was fucking terrible and that concerned me, I voiced my concern as did a LOT of people, and IO picked up on it. This isn't a case of democracy, nobody has the right to bulldoze their views of a game on any one else. Everyone has the right to speak and so did we. IO have gone on to re-affirm that absolution is awesome and now it's all cool.

It's so easy to render legitimate views as trash by referring to it as "bitching&q...

But the point of a horror game is to be scary. If its too scary for you and you don't like it then it just means you don't click with the genre. It's like saying that call of duty has too much action for some people so they should have a pacifist mode where you tickle your enemies to the ground instead. If a horror game is too scary then it's being a good horror game. Not everyone can be pleased all the time and there and loads of games out there catering to action, strategy, ...

The lack of doom or wolfenstein makes this article a joke. The inclusion of halo makes it an insult on top. It's not even funny that when asked which games greenlit the genre of fps that there are scrotum dwellers old enough to state halo instead of wolfenstein or even hover tank 3D. Jesus bungie even had another popular shoot em up franchise before halo! It was marathon and it was one of the earliest examples of a physics engine.

Life doesn't always equal success and I'd rather kick starter to the current system. Admittedly I'm sure some morons would think they have the right to dictate development but legally that's nought. Also metacritic bombings keep getting thrown around like it's some super evil thing gamers do, and don't get me wrong it's really stupid, but it's just that. Stupid - oooooh no they're flooding a review site with bad reviews! Who cares. If you're so God Damn...

My PC IS better than a console. Most are nowadays.

I weirdly enjoyed king kong and riddick. Don't know if riddick counts but butcher's bay is great fun. Also would the spider man games count? Some games are often associated with a movie but I'm not sure if they ought to be counted like say wolverine or avatar that are blatant tie ins. Either way I'm not so sure it's as black and white as most people say it is and there's often a little bit of wiggle room. Not ALL tie ins are terrible - if anything they're getting m...

Okay - proof read your god damn articles if you're going to even pretend to be a "writer" of any kind. You forget to mention the game (max Payne) in the first sentence rendering this entire article a terrible exercise in confusion - how hard is it to read the fucking article you just wrote? Or better yet! Give it to a friend!

Movies get magazines and red carpets and video games get journalists who don't even proof read their work.

Ubisoft. That's usually when it gets too far - around the point where the drm nearly requires more memory than the game and let's you play your game only on the fifteenth connection attempt - if at all.

Oh yeah sure this guy has NOOOOO problems letting people into a two hour long film knowing Jar Jar fucking Binks is floating around in it but a star wars game featuring bounty hunters isn't allowed to be gory? Didn't George Lucas pretty much make all his money off films that are huge tributes to pulp fiction and genre pieces, which in turn often used nudity and gore as a pulling point?

Ultra-violence is awesome. I would rather watch clockwork orange on a come down th...

Rage had solid gameplay, great animation, great gun feeling, and the engine rendered scenery more photorealistically than any other game I've ever seen. Also it's art direction was superb. Admittedly, it's writing was terrible, the ending was worse than an anal prolapse at your wedding and the obsession with 60 fps meant that, yeah sure the mountains, cliffs and various brown rocks look brilliant, but the limited use of graphics forces anything nearer than a metre to look pre-2000...

I thought that was just the smart gun interface? If not these guys are clearly aiming to give us a horror experience so I wouldn't worry about this game going CoD.

If I got to add my own personal interpretation of the true alien 3 to canon and have it blessed by fox and Ridley Scott I'd be like a dog on speed. Frankly the fact this guy can talk without screaming his nuts off with excitement is a testament to his professionalism because I would have a permanent erection by this point.

Also it's a bunch of interviews. The devs are giving us a really cool insight into the making of the game via a behind the scenes trailer - how th...

Crysis 2 was too soon but id rather them press on with an upgrade rather than leave me with crysis 2 as the most recent memory. I wouldn't have minded a big gap with crysis because mods and spec requirements made the game age very well. Crysis 2 however was corked - time for the waiter to bring a new bottle.

I think it comes down to presentation of the story, things like flash back levels, scripted events, set pieces, abstract moments of gameplay, are the most important. Sometimes content of the plot can actually be quite poor and filled with holes but if its convincingly presented to the player then it'll still be a fun journey to go on.

So in terms of TES - the content of the main quest blows but it presents a different type of story in different ways. Whether it's the ...

There needs to be a strong and consistent art direction and that's all I want. Whether its the fantasy landscape of skyrim or the African based far cry 2 I think consistent and clever use of artistic assets is the only real requirement for a game to look good. Crysis 2 looks very photorealistic but it's art is terrible and generally feels very mundane despite being set in new York - considering I live in the arse end of Wales new york should probably leave me aghast but crysis 2 never...

Stalker 2.
Mirror's edge 2.

Outside of that most games I want sequels to are getting them. Those are the only two left to die (as far as we know).

Edit: Actually I'd like to see a new entry in either the unreal franchise (NOT championship) and maybe a new fallout but I doubt Bethesda would buy such a franchise and only make two entries so we're definitely seeing more of that world. I'd also love to see a new wolfenstein but as an actu...
