Are we clicking the same link? Nooooo gameplay footage for me.

Also the headline for the article is "Dead Island trailer stirs emotion but will the game be any good?". It's the article in the context of n4g that I'm criticizing not the article itself. My point remains the same, Dead Island and Crysis 2 have dominated this website.

Jesus Christ did the guy who wrote this wake up from a coma today or something?

Public service announcement: Dead island trailer, looks epic but not really relevant to gameplay. Is it gonna be any good? Nobody really knows because no gameplay footage has been released.

There ya go games journalists, on behalf of everyone who checks out n4g -

WRITE ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE.

(the crysis 2 leak DOESN'T count)

I agree actually. The first one had a familiarly simply scenario with a strong and clear direction throughout the entire game culminating in a foreseeable but still enjoyable conclusion. Despite this however there was still plenty of depth in the background universe that was there to be enjoyed should you choose to do a little homework.

The second one however seemed to suffer from modern warfare 2 syndrome. i.e. they just strung together a bunch of pretty cool set pieces and ...

Not even trying to pretend any more are they? All they need now to seal my total and utter hatred for Epic is to have Cliff Dicksinksi say something like,

"Yeah we could have put it in there, whatever, so? Don't be so grumpy."

Ahhhh I must apologize, I meant red alert 3 not red alert 2. Red alert 2 was a great staple in the franchise and one of the best entries.

It's sequel on the other hand was like watching my mother get raped. They completely misunderstood the appeal of the franchise and butchered it mercilessly. It was as if you had asked a room full of twelve year olds what they'd like to see in a game.

"A GUN THAT SHOOTS POLAR BEARS" (for those unfamiliar ...

If you want the command and conquer experience go out and buy the first decade. If it isn't in that pack don't even bother with it. The franchise is dead, Generals was it's dying words, command and conquer 3 was the blood draining from its face, red alert 2 was its stiffening flesh and cold touch and command and conquer 4 was the final and unflattering voiding of its bowels.

Too little, too late Epic.

PC Gamers funded you through your early years. From unreal, all the way through unreal tournament, and that little aborted runt you like to hide away in the attic - unreal 2: the awakening. Without our cash and hard earned support you wouldn't even be a company today, you would have gone backrupt pathetically trying to break into the fps market that was buttoned firmly down by the likes of iD and Valve.

It's nice to see you&...

Okay, without any actual statistical figures none of us have any God damned right to speculate on jack sh*t.

Firstly, we don't know if the U.K and the U.S.A are 6th and 7th and the only difference between the top ten nations is about four or five guys.

Secondly, HOW? How do you know this? Did you take torrent websites? What about usenet? Or websites like rapidshare and megaupload? Do you know how much of the world's piracy is done on websites like t...

Doesn't quite work like that in real life but whatever, unless I go back in time and help you get the oxygen you clearly missed out on at birth I doubt I'll ever help you see the 3000 things wrong with that statement.

You want to know where piracy has an impact? Where eighty per cent of gamers pirate? It's the countries where most people have to work a God damned month to afford a black ops map pack and I'm not prepared to spite those poor bastards of a video game any time soon.

Now I've said before, I don't agree with piracy for the sake of screwing over some programmer forty bucks. If you've got the cash give it out, but frankly piracy has just become a scape goat whe...

Considering Crytek and EA hardly need looking after, their efforts might be better spent elsewhere. Learning the piano maybe? Volunteer work? I like to try a little bit of creative writing myself.

I'm probably gonna get some flak for this, and I'm not condoning piracy when its for the sake of screwing over some programmer forty bucks, but I feel like I need to say this.

What a bunch of self righteous douchebags.

I mean seriously, we live in a world where four year old girls get raped and murdered, where everyday people get sold into human slavery, where someone's willing to fund Michael Bay's next movie (a tragedy in itself) with milli...

I can't be the only one who feels that a game developer might have conflicted interests when he turns around and says his job needs to be made less taxing?

Seriously, games are f*cking expensive, we can't be expected to dole out forty or even fifty quid for a game that might a)turn out to be awful or bug ridden, and b) is four hours long.

Lots of movies these days are three hours long and cinema tickets don't cost forty quid. But if games get any...

It's a shit system where a game developer of a massive long standing extremely popular multiplayer game with about five or six entries in the franchise along doesn't have the right to develop what it wants, when it wants.

IO interactive is allowed to make Kane and Lynch 2 while hitman goes unloved, but DICE has to kill off mirror's edge 2? Games are a harsh mistress.

Very war of the worlds-y, aside from the whole playing as the predator thing.

Oh my God can we please shut up about crysis 2 leak? Leaks happen, get over it. Crytek decided to streamline *cough* simplify *cough* their gameplay, lose the main character, force their engine onto outdated consoles and pretty much ignore the audience who really enjoyed their first one whilst releasing a console only demo. I can assure you, crytek were well onto their way of fucking over the PC market who helped establish them as developers in the first place (see Lionhead and Epic and the d...
