I like the look of this. Pretty cool little idea and I know people like to associate things like this with portal but I think it'd be more at home in its own game.
I think it's a matter of taste but generally when I play a game I want to stretch out over a good few days of play. Putting it simply - I hate buying games and finishing them that same day. Makes me feel robbed and dirty.
Also when I look at games like oblivion that have taken my social life and wrung it dry until there's nothing but a malnourished girlfriend clinging onto a relationship in a "my hair's caught in your car door" kinda way, and I take that...
You know... you can buy them both?
I'm not going to buying call of duy 7? 8?... whatever the fuck it is I honestly I don't care any more. Either way I'm giving it a skip. But my point still stands that all the fanboys raging over which graphically powerful modern warfare shooter with a strong emphasis on multiplayer is better should probably remove their heads from their arses and just buy both. You're not limited to one modern warfare shooter a year ya know?...
The levels and environments created by modders and mappers for the crysis series have always been incredible. Not just from a technical stand point but the sheer design itself is breath taking. More than just brutal processing power these guys have always delivered environments that are skillfully created to be a visual blast.
A genuine example of strong art direction which I personally felt was missing from crysis 2.
Honestly... no. I don't think steam has ever cocked up. I'm being serious now that when I think about it steam has just never ever fucked up. I'm sorry but steam provides every last service xbox live currently provides (for free as well).
Unlike xbox live there's room for FREE dlc. Also it has done absolute wonders for the indie community. It has massive sales all the time which allows me to buy games for insanely cheap prices and most importantly they keep it...
Less Peter Parker in Isaac Clarke. He went from unnaturally silent to unnaturally chatty. Quite irritating.
Also a story that makes some sense. Dead space's narrative was very self contained the player always knew the reason for anything they were doing ( get off the ship) but on the sequel you just ran from A to B and did what some girl told you. When she died you just get the damn girl replaced.
Still an awesome game.
How about we put steam on xbox? That way the better service reaches more people. I just can't imagine xbox live even working on windows simply because I'm so used to Microsoft fucking up. These are the guys who still think that games shouldn't be marketed towards gamers but to people who like to dance around in their living rooms like retards.
Microsoft essentially pissed away a monopoly on pc gaming which is a bit like the steroid fueled horse standing at the ga...
RIP my social life - died 11/11/11.
You'd probably enjoy the stalker series. Word from the wise though - download the complete mod and put it on a hard setting. You'll be fighting for survival in a horrible open world soon enough while doing morally horrible things like following packs of npcs and clipping them when they're near dogs so a fight ensues and you can net the resulting loot.
...I'm gonna go play stalker.
Postal 2 is a pretty damn great example of not being a hero. In fact I think more games should focus on giving us living worlds like bethesda's and allowing you to just wreak complete havok. But not in a "oh no everyone's panicking" way. I mean in a way that forces disruption to a massive and complicated life system before allowing the system to try and resume in the face of obstruction.
Kind of how skyrim has relatives take over the stores of people you ki...
I wouldn't consider a choice between being ripped off and not enjoying half the product "fair".
Overall I consider CoD a pretty stomach churning affair. Modern warfare 2 effectively shot the franchise for me around about the time it took you 20 seconds to be flying through a mountain on a snowmobile like a scene out of die hard 2. No pacing and no real story. Just spectacle, spectacle and more spectacle. No substance.
What angers me about CoD ...
I enjoyed the game. Rough around the edges but the sheer fan dedication to fixing bugs and questionable design choices gives clear evidence that objectively the game is not a "D" rated game. A lot of people are out there playing and enjoying the game. There are some things wrong with with it but it's still very enjoyable.
I agree with the issue of enemies levelling but the idea of character progression still occurrs with loot. Even when facing a same level enem...
I must have tried 8000 times to get into bloodlines. It's a shame because it looked like a stellar game... it's just something about it didn't click with me.
Oh well. And I think developers should actually make loading screens useful. I'm tired of reading tips like "aim for the head", "press space to enter cover", "you can aim by holding the RMB" and so on.
I want actual tips that read like, "this end boss ...
Call of duty 2 simply because it seemed to think the entire British army was made up of people exclusively from the east end of London. Also 3/4 of all SAS members legally HAVE to be Scottish.
To be fair I actually think movies are worse for this one. In a game everything has to be built from the ground up and the idea is to throw you into a living "world" so what would be the point of not doing the appropriate research. Movies on the other hand have to make things...
I'm actually quite happy console gamers are getting crysis. For all that it's worth it's actually a good game and it'd be nice if we could all just pretend like it was the only entry in the franchise. That's what I'm doing. I'm just pretending like this is a late port and that there's no such thing as crysis 2.
Yeah because dead island really stands out amidst open world games as being the only example of bugginess right?
It'd be nice if we lived in a world without exclusive titles. It'd be pretty awesome if you could just play a game without getting caught up in idiots running around screaming "OMG MY PLATFORM IS AMAZING AND IS SO CLEARLY A REPRESENTATION OF MY TALENT AND SKILL AS A HUMAN BEING DESPITE THE FACT I DIDN'T MAKE IT I JUST BOUGHT IT FROM A STORE OFF A SHELF".
Oh well, won't happen will it?
And to the inevitable in pour of morons who des...
It wasn't awful but there's nothing wrong with a developer aiming their sights higher than their previous efforts.
Damn fucking right. My father once came into to work to find that his programmers had named the servers that contained the data for 500,000 clients across six different companies "c*nt" and the password was "c*ck".
Out of a companies employing fifty people all you need is ONE arse to ruin to everything and that's just what happened here. Dead island isn't a gender or even character driven process. You only have to go on xbox live to see that there&...
Then take some time out and finish your games before you release them.
