What the fuck? It's just content from fallout 3 with a (badly designed) fallout 4 logo at the end. To the author; learn another language or learn how to play the piano but stop wasting your own and everyone else's time with this banal shit.
Eurgh I hate these arguments.
A) I wouldn't buy most steam titles if they weren't on sale, so either I never play a game or I play it after buying it on a discount. Raising prices won't magically make my income larger so this whole 'damaging devs' argument kind of falls flat. They get £0 or £3-4, they can pick.
B) the reason most steam titles are unplayed is simply because of bundles. Not because people hog shit at a ridiculous r...
This is a great article. Well thought out and balanced. I like to think that there can always be losses when buying a game. It could be rubbish, a flat out scam, or broken. Early access definitely augments all of these problems, but I've always heavily vetted the games I buy anyway. Regardless of whether they're early access or not. Jimquisition mentions how one early access dev deletes negative reviews but I remember having complaints removed from the Atari forums for test drive unli...
This is a good list. Personally I'd like to see better combat. Bethesda have a few studios under their belt, one of whom is id software who are still, in my opinion, one of the best developers for great feeling shooting mechanics. Maybe some consultation could go on so. Rage had great animations and great gunplay so I'd love to see just a little bit of that expertise bleed across into fallout 4. And of course VATS could make a return, it was a great alternative to running and gunning....
50gb HDD? That's uhhh... a little big. It's not as rare as it used to be a for a game to exceed 20gb but still... I guess that's the mega-texture technology coming into play though.
Enjoyed the game, and I like the team but I also see why one creative vision must have been hard to follow. In large teams you just can't have it all in one head so you need a few quality managers who are all on the same page.
It's a shame infinite never sold as well as they'd like but then again that's just part of the shitty paradox of life. I'm happy we got to see a beautiful end to bioshock's narrative. The gameplay wasn't anything significant...
I actually liked the sound of this. I think it's a shame they're not supporting PC but oh well.
The story sounds...convoluted. I love a rich world but it shouldn't require that much of a set up to understand. I've also noticed a lot of people displaying concerns about this game after playing it so that has some warning flags put up. I guess over all it's hard to tell since we know so little, and the fps genre is soooooo inundated sometimes even a good tit...
Ultimately I see the developer being late as a fault on that developer's time keeping. Games aren't just about mechanics and graphics, just like making anything else, it's about managing a team, time, money, and expectations. Thing is though, a delay is acceptable. Projects the world over don't hit the mark every time (it's not the end of the world by any means), but only with gaming is it really acceptable for a publisher to figure that it's easier to cut their losses...
Isn't this just the GLSL shaders mod?
http://www.minecraftforum.n...
Not sure if it's an actual port or a mistaken version of the shader mod above, but the resemblance is uncanny. Either way if you'd like your minecraft to a look like the above I'd really recommend you try GLSL and Sonic Ether's unbelievable shad...
Holy fucking shit yes. As someone who suffers from motion sickness and migraines I have nothing to give VR but a giant middle finger. I have to constantly adjust brightness and contrast as it is to avoid being knocked out with a Mt Rushmore scale headache, and strapping the damn computer monitor to my eyeballs is not what I'd consider 'the future'.
And a VR comic book store? Eurgh I can't imagine a bigger waste of time. A strip club would be better.
Jesus fucking Christ can't people event wait for a game to come out before they review it. So many AAA titles are going annual for their releases, and we've long since been accustomed to things like bioshock 2. A lot of the time these titles suck but they can also offer you the best experience in a a franchise. Whether it's Vice City or Fallout New Vegas it's sometimes just nice to see a franchise expand outwards and not just upwards.
Personally I feel as tho...
Apparently Comet will feature sailing - which I hope to be the case.
I'll take it over the sub-par DLC they've shovelled out. Jesus am I glad I didn't bother with the season pass.
Personally I would kill for John Cleese to voice the mc with the same ridiculous accent as the over-zealous waiter in the meaning of life. Not because it'd in anyway help immersion - just because there's not enough John Cleese.
"Just one more wahfer monsieur"
Thing is though they bought id software for a lot of money and Doom 4 has been delayed so I think this is more about getting something for what they paid for. Firstly through the engine, and secondly through the franchise.
Honestly I think wolfenstein 09 might have a lot to do with any apprehension you're feeling. That game was tripe and it put a big damper on the whole "let's bring back old school shooters" for me.
“John Carmack – the creator of Doom – works for Facebook now. Let that sink in for a minute.”
Man I still feel like that guy has so much to give gaming. He's always been best working behind the scenes on the tech itself and I'd love to see what he could do if he kept at it. I thought Oculus was gonna be a good opportunity but I really doubt we're gonna see the same open platform gaming centric system from Oculus now it's owned by facebook.
It's nice to see the rage engine off its 60 fps leash. Looks pretty decent.
I would have liked to have seen much more of this game in the news. They did a couple of interviews but I think if they had something playable and they had sent it to a number of outlets then you might have seen much more exposure. As a potential backer that would have made me feel confident that they were much more likely to reach their goals and have a comfortable amount to work with (they wanted 250k basic). Ultimately I just felt like they were very ambitious in how much they asked for an...
I'm not a fan of parkour in games. Seems like a glorified jump button in most titles (I'm looking at you brink), although mirror's edge did play very much on the inertia of movement so that could be interesting. Still I've always wondered why wall jumping, double jumping, and unreal style dodges never really caught on. Works so well in platformers and I prefer it much more than a string of contextual button presses. Yeah it's unrealistic and I'm not saying it would eve...
I'd REALLY like to see an open world metro.
