Damn right. Could get used to these sorts of updates.

An open source console with no licensing fees, steam support and all the epic sales that comes with a very real possibility of featuring cross platform play, mods, great graphics, and the ability to play anything that's on steam all coming from the service that has resulted in an indie renaissance in the PC gaming world and would lead to some of the best and most imaginative gaming experiences becoming available to the masses. Not to mention the hopeful destruction of exclusives and all t...

Or "bad news, there's bits of that naked lady all over the bus you stole last night". Or "bad news, your naked lady friend took all the cocaine and covered your cat in olive oil."

I didn't find borderlands that un-PC friendly tbh. The UI was a bit slow and I think a difficulty slider would have gone down a treat but that's about it. Oh and the damn gamespy multiplayer! That sucked. But they're shipping it with steam works as well as a PC-specific UI so I can't complain.

Frankly I don't want a delay. I want the damn thing now. I loved borderlands like it was my own flesh and blood and the sequel gave me an erection you could use to ...

I don't think you should be giving credit to Microsoft. They're publishers who hurl money at whatever the hell they think is going to put a dent in their competitors. While Halo, Fable, Forza and GoW are pretty good games the truth is it's because they've got incredible talent behind them (and in the case of fable an incredibly big mouth behind them as well). At the end of the day Microsoft and all publishers are the "industry" in the "games industry" - it&...

Not being familiar with the franchise I can confidently say the game as it stands is a solid 3-4/5. It's a good game that's not great but has numerous flaws. If you play it on hard you'll get a good shoot 'em up experience with a few nice twists and great graphics.

However I do sympathize with fans of the original. This is hardly relatable to what I know of the old syndicate and I wish the actual fans had gotten the game they deserve.

"Whenever Alex opens his mouth, all that comes out is derp."

Haha, that got quite a good laugh out of me. Good article, I enjoyed it and it's a different twist on quite a commonly discussed area in gaming.

This is great. I hope they bring cross platform play, strong graphics, great deals, and mods. There's no reason consoles can't have the features of PC gaming or vice versa. Let's close the cultural gap, end this rubbish of fanboyism, and all just play together. Also can we get rid of exclusives? Everyone should get to play great games regardless of whether they bought an xbox, laptop or ps3. We can't afford ALL of them so we eventually have to pick. Why set it up so we all hav...

Replying to yout comment below I understand what you mean. In a way Skyrim or the Elder Scrolls would benefit from some online functionality. Maybe you could predetermine whether you wanted an "online" or "offline" character, and at the start of each play session you could specify either "public" or "friends only". By having a more co-operative role, rather than an actual MMO, online play in elder scrolls could be a lot of fun.

But ther...

An MMO would completely obliterate everything fun about elder scrolls. The real pulling power of the series lies in the roleplaying without mechanics which MMO's just don't have the technology to reproduce without the aid of other players. Also it's hard enough losing myself in the world with backwards flying dragons let alone with some thirteen year old korean girl teabagging my pk'd character.

And it's probably more likely they're just making fallout...

I think the American civil war is a great period. It's a natural evolution in terms of history without being a completely modern setting. Not to mention the civil war was a brutally bloody war for America. Also America does have a huge host of wilderness settings that really open things up.

Not to mention the industrial revolution would have led to travel systems that would have really impacted the way assassins worked. I'm not saying this game would be incomplete wi...

Haha, pretty much why I stopped too. I used to believe that buying the physical game mattered but then I realised we don't buy games we buy leases that let us play them. So what's the point when steam downloads it to me in a few hours at a cheaper price and with increased support and steamworks?

The GAME by me just depresses me. Bargain bin games and roaming mothers asking for the latest Mario or CoD. A PC section tucked away behind a seedy beaded curtain guarded by ...

For any other product or company a PR piece wouldn't be needed to say that their new product isn't worse than their old one. And only for this particular product and company could that very PR piece fail at its simple task.

There's no real way of knowing if that's an issue of the game or the hardware though. I feel for you though, I really do - Arkham City has terrible lip syncing for me (as in I wait three minutes at the end of a cutscene while the choppy framerate plays out in silence). It needn't even be a problem of performance, but some silly little feature can cause real problems. Whatever it is I hope it gets sorted for you.

Not being an Italian speaker I certainly find it difficult to comment but if I ever get into game development I dread the issue of translation. Does anyone remember Minecraft's translation debacle? Ouch.

I might just be stupid - God knows there aren't enough people who'd like to say I am - but I could never get the game to let me host or even play with people who lived across the street. I went online a few times but my quest log kept coming back like an STI riddled hooker.

YES!

Gamespy ruined my co-op experiences with borderlands. My household insists on a dynamic IP and I don't have the option of making it static to forward ports. Steam bypasses this and enables me to host and play online with friends as easily as is done on any console. Thank you so much for picking steam and not using the ageing fossil that is gamespy.

IT'S STILL ON TOPIC TO DISCUSS EA'S DECISION TO RELEASE THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE AND FRANKLY THEY SHOULD HAVE FORESEEN PEOPLE OBVIOUSLY SELLING THE DAMN GAME FOR HIGHER THAN STREET VALUE. YOU'D HAVE TO BE AN IGNORANT MORON TO THINK PEOPLE WOULDN'T JUST SELL IT FOR HUNDREDS AND BUY THE GAME DAY ONE FOR NORMAL PRICE BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT ANYONE WITH GREATER THAN THREE BRAIN CELLS WOULD DO.

My comment below remains valid - screw EA.

The street date law is a damn law no matter what. EA shouldn't have been allowed to do this - just because the law exists to protect them doesn't mean they can break it in their own interests. It's a LAW, it's not up to them to just choose when it does and doesn't work in their favour. A street retailer breaks the date? Suddenly the law exists and actually matters and EA wants somebody's head on a platter. But oh no when EA want to break the street date then who cares,...

It's nothing short of poetic that in the land of swimming knives and light switch shaped rape spiders would games be considered a potential threat to your children's safety.
