He wasn't saying that up-converted look as good because they don't, it isn't possible. For people that aren't videophiles or just don't really really care about PQ, an up-converted dvd will do them just fine. People still use VHS to record shows, that strikes me as crazy because the PQ is poor but some people just don't care. For videophiles like myself PQ is important but the majority of people don't know anything or care about PQ. Some people don't even calibrate their HDTVs. If you do...
Update: We have received word from Paramount that they will meet the street date and that the 'Iron Man' Blu-ray will not be delayed.
The anti-xbox crew are going to be all over this like a fat kid on a cookie. It costs more to fill up my car than one year of xbox live costs. Paying for live is nothing in the grand scheme of things.
I have to agree that a physical movie is much better than file on your computer. I don't even burn movies because then i won't have the case you the movie. That might seem strange to some people but i like having a collection.
The only reason they should in my opinion, add in a larger format is for more game space. I personally don't like seeing lots of stuff shoved into one box. That is why i would never by a home theatre in a box, you buy a combo and you get lower quality. If games are to start getting very very large then a larger format like blu-ray would make sense for its superior storage. They wouldn't be able to add blu-ray for games this generation so any format change needs to happen in the next xbox....
I know lots of people don't like Vista but if you have a computer with the power to run it then, in my opinion, it is a nice operating system. It is a little too idiot proof at times, but some nice features make up for that.
Achievements don't really mean anything. I guess if you wanted you could use them to challenge yourself. If you completed a game on normal then go back and do it on hard to get the achievement.

Maybe instead of clicking disagree lets see if you have ever returned an xbox 360 under warranty in Canada, or maybe even own a 360?
The term "True HD" is a marketing term and nothing else. 720p and 1080i are also high definition resolutions.
Incorrect, depending on where you live they do not repair the xbox. Here in Canada they replace a faulty 360 with a brand new one.
You guys were pretty harsh on TheDeadMetalhead.
@ TheDeadMetalhead - you would get more out of a PS3 if you have an HDTV but it will work fine without one. Personally i played my 360 on an 24-inch SDTV for just over a year and a half before i got my 32-inch HDTV. Once you get an HDTV you will be amazed by the difference you see. I am not sure why those guys are being the way they are because most people know very little about tvs. If you are going to get an HDTV then i have a few ti...
Well it defiantly wasn't because they were a threat or because they needed freeing. There are also all the reconstruction projects, can anyone say Halliburton?
Are you really surprised considering the government is run by corporations. Voters don't have any power, money has power.
The US government spying to possibly save lives!? They also went into Iraq for another reason except oil right?
thereapersson is correct, you won't be able to use that whole 4GB on a 32bit system. You might see 3.5GB or 3.0GB, depends on the computer and the graphics card too.
You can't say stuff like that, it isn't about being a fan of video games in general, it is all about being a fan of a company. Being a loyal fanboy is paramount, gaming is a distant second. One must rise to the defense of ones brand, and worry about gaming once one's day of defending the mother company is done.
Good posts, bubble+
I am amazed that you are able to pass judgment on a product that has not been released, do you use a crystal ball? Your statement is the same as if i was to say "All future games for the PS3 are going to be aweful", a statement that is truly moronic and uneducated.
Apologies for the poor proof reading.
* blown away
That is too much of a blanket statement my friend. From what i have read 10% of homes in the US have HDTVs (with 20% by the end of 2008), due to price cuts and awareness HDTV sales will only increase. People will have to buy an HDTV before they get a blu-ray player, so i would have to say that HDTVs are the hot ticket. The best marketing strategy that blu-ray can have right now is to package players with TV (as many stores are doing). If you just dropped $1000 to $1500 on a new TV (and yo...
