They aren't stealing them, they are buying them or coming to some sort of agreement with the publisher acquire them. Last time i checked they were doing it to make money and that is called business. There is no stealing involved.

This is good that they are giving people a relatively inexpensive way of getting a hard drive if they purchased the core or arcade and don't have one. A good move to keep people happy.
People get so excited about exclusives around here, i personally get excited about games i like. It doesn't matter if they are an exclusive or not. Playing battlefield BC right now and the next game i am going to buy is Fallout 3. If they have done a good job with Fallout 3 and if you have ever played the buggy yet fantastic Fallout 2 then you know this game is going to be awesome.
That is a good price point, the 1500 still isn't that greatest in regards to load times but it is better than many other players. I want to see the load times of the Panasonic bd35 in person (they sound good from reviews). That is looking to be a nice player.
Isn't comparing Gears and LBP like comparing apples and oranges? They are two totally different genres, and while i think they will both appeal to some people i think these two games will ultimately appeal to different crowds because LBP is more of an "all ages" game, while Gears is not.

Lots of new release tvs are not 1080p, because not everyone wants a 1080p set and under a certain size it is a waste of money. If you are going to have a 1080p source and have the money for a nice 1080p set then fly at her, but many average joes don't and if they are only feeding a tv HD satellite or HD cable then there isn't much point in them buying a 1080p set. Also many consumers can't tell good PQ from great PQ to save themselves.

Good post leila01. Some people just seem to want one console to kick ass and the rest to fail. 3 consoles with good games and doing well is good because then there is healthy competition. A lack of competition is very very bad for the consumer.
So much hate in the world.
The blu-ray group is also not giving out licenses to any company that wants one so that they can keep the price artificially elevated by reducing competition. This is starting to change though, i believe they are now starting to grant more licenses, some of which are going to Chinese manufacturers.

I agree dude. I think the PS3 will always be a bit more expensive when compared to the 360 because it had more tech in it. That blu-ray drive costs more than the 360s dvd drive. So a higher price is ok because you get the bonus of a blu-ray drive for both games and movies. I think it is just going to be hard for families that are being affected by the economic slump so justify buying a "more expensive" system (i am referring to out of the box, bc when you add HDD and live you ar...
I agree that LBP will target a wide audience but if a little kid wants it for Christmas will an average family in a struggling economy spend the extra to get a PS3 over a Wii or 360?

I am not really not sure how to take your comment Jason :-P I guess i am saying that if you wake up in the morning and get a warm fuzzy feeling because you know that sony is making more money than microsoft or visa versa then something is wrong. That is unless you hold stock in said companies or will be making/loosing money based on their financial situation.
Are you guys seriously having a pissing contest over the amount of money that console makers are making. Who cares if microsoft makes more than sony or sony makes more than microsoft, does it really matter? As long as quality games are being produced for both consoles then everybody wins. Bragging about one company making more money than the other is really really sad.
Sorry i clicked on an old link, we are looking at 50% right now. I still have to disagree that people that buy a 1080p set are going to run out and buy a blu-ray player too. The players are still too expensive but atleast new movie releases are coming down in price. HDTVs and blu-ray players are expensive toys and due to the economy right now i don't think all HDTVs purchasers are going to buy a blu-ray player too. I wish they would though because then we might see a large price drop once...

True HD is used in stores to sell higher priced TVs. 1080p under 50 inch for the average joe is wasted. 1080p under 40 inch is wasted on a videophile.
