Well said facepalm. It is funny how it is always microsoft and sony bickering back and forth.

I have to agree with everyone above. These "my console is better than your console articles" are written with the sole purpose of getting fanboys all fired up. These articles just bring out the bad side of many gamers.

All the consoles are doing fine this generation, enough said so lets discuss something interesting now.

I can understand the odd mistake but some posts are just bad. There should be a mandatory article regarding spelling, grammar, and general writing skills before you can create an account.
Then again, how old do you guys think the average N4G user is? I am thinking there are lots of high school kids using this site. In my current position i have had the opportunity to see the work that some of the kids right out of high school are producing and some of it will make you cringe.

I will be getting a Wii soon. It is an awesome console for when you have friends over, plus you can play sports games the way they should be played. Looking forward to the Wii very much!
I think the reason that fangirls don't like the Wii is because it is selling better than the console that they own so it makes them cry in side.

I would suggest to someone who is thinking of buying a console for themselves i would ask them the following questions:
What games do you like to play?
What sort of budget are you on?
Do you like to play online?
Do you like to have friends over and play?
Do you like site down games or standing up/active games?
Are you interested in blu-ray?
Having someone answer those questions should give you a pretty good idea which console is for them.

Why are sites coming out sales winners for 2008 when 2008 isn't over yet? I do love the sites that are talking about whether the 360 is the winner or if the PS3 is the winner. As far as consoles go, if you care about which one is the winner then you have to look no further than the Wii if you are talking about sales. If you are talking about games well then that comes down to preference, so sales are the only way you can judge.
That is if you care. I my mind the gamer that owns the ...

Bravo and +bubbles for mentioning a screen size and not just typing "blu-ray FTW" like so many other people. I agree that if you are watching blu-ray on a 57 inch HDTV at the correct viewing distance and you can not see a difference then something is wrong.
Whether or not people are willing to pay for that difference though is another matter entirely.

@ CrippleH - "Only an idiot thinks upscaled dvd is close" This is a very stupid comment to make. There are many factors to consider here, size of TV owned, quality of TV owned, viewing distance, eye sight, there are many factors that rule out the use of uneducated blanket statements like yours.
I personally love the increased sound and picture quality that you achieve with blu-ray but then again i have a quality HD TV that is large enough to show the difference in PQ at the d...

With the way that blu ray prices are going, both player and disc, i can see adoption greatly increasing for those that already own HDTVs. With the current economic situation i can't see people who are tightening their belts going out and buying an HDTV and a blu ray player on top of that though.
All in all i think that blu ray has secured its place in our movie collections and adoption by the casual masses will take a bit longer than predicted due to the current economic situation.

You know what those disagrees mean right?
You didn't go to Best Buy and you definitely don't know what you saw :-P

What ReBurn said. Mikeslemonade you have got to stop saying this is going to be the one for blu ray or this is going to be the one for the PS3 because after you have done it eleventy billion times people are just going to start ignoring what you say. I agree that sales of the dark knight are going to be very good, there is no doubt in my mind, however i don't think people are going to rush out and buy a blu ray player for it. Hardcore movie fans or those with excess cash will have a blu ra...

We are finally seeing stand alone players that are giving us the performance for a price that isn't outrageous, so i can see that increasing adoption. Lets face it, everyone who wants a blu ray player doesn't want a PS3 and until the likes of the Panasonic bd35 were released no other player was at the performance level of the PS3.

6271d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I will be going with the Panasonic bd35 in the near future once i find a good deal.

Not once did i say that i wanted to see the tests that showed it is better. I merely asked to see the test information that allowed him to make his decision.

Would you please provide us with a link to the site where you found the testing information for the Jasper please? I would like to see the results.
