this is for those who ALREADY voided their warranty with other case mods.
Besides, the x-clamp mod HAS actually fixed quite a few broken xboxes. But if you already have the new heatsink then you have nothing to worry about.

freakin hilarious
It stops being a rant when you apply a SCORE to the game. If his SCORE changes even ONE person's mind about buying this game then that is damn near a criminal act.
I understand the purpose of a rant, but if your website's purpose is help people decide which games to buy, then you don't RANT.
And I leave you folks with these final thoughts of mine, as I just used up my last bubble :)
**EDIT**
You are absolutely right. This IS a RAN...
I truly feel bad for you.
You have to REALLY not get it to not appreciate a game like this.
Games like this are the reason you play video games to begin with. It isn't too often when a game like Half-Life 2, or Bioshock comes along. If you can't appreciate what they offer and all you care about is the competitive nature of multiplayer only games, then you are REALLY missing out on another side of gaming.
oh well your loss
The demo doesn't even BEGIN to touch on the true depth of this game.
AGAIN unless you are a complete donkey puncher who runs around and plays the whole game with the wrench. Then...you have no business playing video games much less reviewing them.
The gameplay is so different between the two that I have a hard time determining which I like better.
GOW does what it does so incredibly well but it doesn't ADD anything new to the style of gameplay. It is just one of the most well done games I've ever played. But at it's core it's just "shoot the other guy more times than he shoots you."
Bioshock requires planning. How do you handle certain areas. What is the best combination of plasmids to take w...
If you pay any attention at all to the tapes then they explain the chambers.
This guy is a jackoff.
I'd like to buy you a drink sir. But instead I'll have to settle with giving you a bubble.
This review has "I got a GREAT idea to get web hits!" all over it.
It's NOT easy. You still lose healt packs and eve shots each time you get revitalized, you still have less ammo than you did before. Oh hard you dont WANT to use the vita chambers any more than you absolutely have to. Eve and ammo are hard to find, and big daddys are freaking hard. So thats less ammo and eve you have to use against other things. Sure you can go around and just bash everything over and over with a wrench and use the chamber constantly, but thats no fun.

ubi had no problem? Oh guess thats why we are just NOW seeing rainbow six and GRAW 2 on the PS3.
LOTs of developers are having slight difficulties with the PS3. Eventually that will change, but they have had one less year to work on the PS3 than the 360 and there hasn't been THAT big of a learning curve with the 360 to begin with.
On paper it looks that way.
It is a matter of implementation.
Does it take more time to get MORE performance out of the PS3 than you would with the 360? Sure appears that way so far.
But as middleware improves and the programmers get more familiar that should change.
the REAL question will be whether or not you can actually see the difference.
Graphically I don't think you will. Let's say it is 10% faster at graphi...
There are several 360 games that are NATIVE 1080p. Everything else get scaled using ANA.
so 720p isn't the "max" as you state.
And you are kidding yourself if you think the PS3 is 2.25 faster than the 360. It may be faster but not 2.25 times faster (which would be required to render 1920x1080 at the same speed as 1280x720)
Quick! Everyone put on your Helm of +12 Fanboy retardant
Huh. Interesting.
I think Bioshock, GOW, GRAW, rainbow six, forza, all look pretty damn good.
Who cares. It's a console. Of course it is going to be limited in performance compared to a PC. IT DOESN'T COST AS MUCH.
WHO CARES? It is an interesting conversation if you are a developer, but...for gods sake to keep going "I TOLD YOU SO I TOLD YOU SO I TOLD YOU SO" (imagine as being said by Lewis Black) is just retarded.
Nightmare only a gamer can understand:
You need to do the contra cheat on the first try or a bomb goes off, and you only have an xbox controller to do it with :)
I just pulled out one of my old dual shock 2 controllers.
Now that I really start messing with it, I REALLY prefer the shoulder/trigger buttons on the 360. If I use both my index and middle finger on shoulder buttons on the dual shock I lose too much support from underneath (because the side handles are too thin and only the tips of my fingers are being used to support the controller from underneath). If I use just my index fingers for all 4 shoulder buttons then I have to sh...
You disagreed with me 3 times?
:) heh
Well at least we know the sony fanboys are lurking :)
Which brings up an interesting conversation. Best controller designs.
N64 really revolutionized things by adding an analog joystick and rumble.
I think the Dual Shock is one of the best designs. Everything since has borrowed from it's overall function. I was a bit disappointed to see that Sony didn't make any major changes w...
Anyone? Anyone? Buehler? Buehler?
MS didn't even let Red Octane use their wireless technology with the Guitar Hero II controller (and guitar hero III).
I'm skeptical that it can be done without physically altering both the PSP and the controller.
There is a form of hardware encryption with the wireless technology so that 3rd parties can't release unapproved controllers. They want to prevent stuff like the smartjoy frag. They have to license the tech from MS.
I'm pretty sure that ...
You make the mistake of assuming they are all the same issue.
Microsoft has said it themselves there are a number of issues that can cause the RROD.
The clamp/new heatsink fixes something completely different than the soldering issue. Both result in a RROD.
The fact that you need this at all is a bit ridiculous. But MS did something about it, so whatever.
