Seriously, this article has a major flaw. It completely ignores the ONLY game that is TRULY episodic. If episodic gaming follows the lead of Sam and Max then it CAN be a success. But if you follow the Half-Life 2 "episodic" model then it will fail.

The falcon processor does NOTHINGto fix ANYTHING. It was made to reduce costs. Thats it. The lower heat and energy consumption is just a byproduct of this.
The actual RROD problem was a problem with the motherboard warping. Hopefully the new heatsink design fixed that.

I'm only 50 hours into it, and there is still a lot left to it.
You really get a feel for what's going on about 20 hours or so into it.

The demo doesn't even come close to capturing the feel and story of the game. The demo is a showcase of the graphics, nothing more. And even then it doesn't do the game justice.

I traded in my 360 premium for a 360 elite.
XBL keeps track of everything you've downloaded.
All I did was transfer all (most. Viva pinata and perfect dark, both rare games, didn't allow you to transfer save games to another device) save games with a memory card (didn't feel like waiting for the transfer cable). Then I just redownloaded everything else that I PAID for. I can play everything without having to be online, no problems.

I agree though, the elite was a bad idea. They needed ONE SKU. Get it right the first time. You don't go releasing a revised version before the 2 year mark. That makes early adopters pissed off. Why should we ever buy another microsoft console when it first comes out knowing they will probably just release something with newer features that we might need.

And I would argue that you can't possibly say any of those games are BETTER than Bioshock because they are so different.
How can you POSSIBLY compare final fantasy with bioshock? Or Metal gear solid? ENTIRELY different games. Crackdown and GTA are more comparable, and so is MGS and Splinter cell. SOCOM and Ghost Recon. FF and Blue Dragon, etc.
I would say they are ALL top tier games and the best of their genre. But I couldn't possibly say that MGS was any b...
