Uhm, nobody said anything like that.
Once again...Go figure out the difference between an obvious joke and a REAL fanboy post.
I'm thinking you guys missed the humor in post #4.
Go read post #3
And lighten up people :)
woops ... didn't see Cook1eMan above...
Basically what he said already :)
It's interesting. I just traded in my 360 Premium (got it back in november, been running perfectly this whole time) for an Elite. This elite is INCREDIBLY quiet compared to my original, and the power supply is different. The other power cables were grounded three prong cables and they "locked in" to the console.
I wonder if this has anything to do with people having problems when plugging them into surge protectors.
yeah, nevermind that even the WII has an external power brick.
Pick one, External power supply or large console size.
?!?!
huh? You do realize that you said the exact same thing as the person who wrote the article right?
He saw people criticizing Halo 3's graphics and he's just pointing out that much of the criticism could be caused by the choice of colors, when the graphical detail is on par if not better.
I love how it was reported as inflamatory and biased. I just can't figure out HOW it was inflamatory and biased.
The entire point of the article was to point out how the color palette can change the perceived realism of a game. And I think the point was proven quite effectively.
*shrug* Takes all kinds I guess.
well kinda. Superman on hd-dvd is hd-dvd on one side of the disc and regular dvd on the other side. it's not like it comes with two discs.
Which kinda sucks. I'd rather have the option of not having the dvd version. What's the point!? seriously...If you have the ability to play it in HD why would you even consider the regular dvd side?
Oh well.
erm. hd-dvd is 1080p. What are you talking about?
Hell, I even own the hd-dvd drive for the 360 and I think SS4 is full of it.
I mean seriously, hd-dvd DOES have the better implementation of the technology, but that doesn't mean squat when every other movie studio is releasing stuff for blu-ray. Mac OS X is better than windows, but I still own a windows machine. It has the games and the software.
PS3 has better hardware than the 360, but I own a 360 because it has the games I want to play right now. (And when...
If you disagree then speak up.
I have no alliance with either format. I'm stating facts. Blu-ray still doesn't have their FINAL mandatory specifications finalized, and the HD-DVD version of the 300 IS better, it actually has bonus features, and the blu-ray version does not. More movie studios (including the top 3 with Sony, Disney and Fox) are bd exlusive.
I'm perfectly capable of listening to what others have to say. In fact I was absolutely dead set against...
???
Erm. Would have been nice if someone said this post was an advertisement before I wasted my time watching it.
Here I thought it was going to be full of some useful tips.
I took this approach with it. blu-ray has the movies. BUT hd-dvd has the far superior hardware implementation.
blu-ray totally hosed themselves with the poorly implemented and poorly planned interactive features. HD-DVD wins in this regard HANDS DOWN. And let's not forget the really bad encoding techniques used with the initial blu-ray releases (5th element anyone?). Although today the quality of the actual movies are almost identical.
I grabbed the hd-dvd dr...

90% of hd-dvd releases ARE universal.
POG - I think you missed the humor in that post above.
it was posted AS Don Imus saying
"always blacks or middle east people who start this sh*t!"
It was more of an imus joke than a real comment.
I absolutely agree about blu-ray. I'm skipping blu-ray until bd-live 2.0 and bd profile 1.1 players come out (and thus when blu-ray features catch up with hd-dvd features). It's bogus that blu-ray is such a mess that some movies can'teven be played on some players without a firmware update. BUT they have support of all the movie studios. oh well. :)
I guess I could go with the dirt cheap hd-dvd drive until blu-ray gets their crap together. hmmmmmmmmm
I'm with you on halo. DEFINATELY not the best FPS I've played. Not by a long shot.
Halo 1 has some of the worst levels I've had to suffer through. But the good parts of the game make up for the few bad levels.
well that settles it. Edge are Teh SuK
Still not going to buy one.
No TrueHD/DTS-HD no deal. You won't be able to even do 7.1 audio with this setup.
Price is good though. Which sucks. Makes it SOO tempting. but alas...still can't do it.
Wow. you are a genius.
