Uhm, science fiction map design of Halo? Halo and Halo 2 were NOT great examples of level design. Not by a long shot. Library levels anyone?
I admit, that Halo 2 revolutionized multiplayer gaming. But neither 1 or 2 were shining examples of incredible single player experiences.
I think mario paint is behind the blame for me going to therapy when I was a kid. I made all kinds of animated cartoons about mario getting killed. heh. Firebreathing dragons turning him into a pile of ashes, a missle blowing him into pieces, etc.

the BIG issue is the craptastical d-pad on the 360. In this regards the PS3 d-pad FTW.

That is it exactly though. It should be up to the PARENTS. If a parent doens't want a 15 year old playing an M rated title then the child shouldn't be able to just go in and buy it anyway. The parent should have full control. Abandoning the ratings system and age checking would prevent the parents from doing their job.
And there is no MA rating. That's for movies. It goes from M to AO. AO is 18+
17+ for M is just fine.

it's not even so much of the whole Clan thing (which has always seemed kinda retarded to me. People take it WAY to damn serious). It's just better when you are playing with friends you know, and trying to coordinate 4 or more people to all join the same game is a pain in the butt.
I understand WHY they took it out, because of how idiots have exploited it in Halo 2, but the pros outweigh the cons.

While the wii does have a library of games geared for younger more casual audiences (Which does NOT make the games any less fun) it isn't competely absent of mature games.

Well Halo 3 is a different situation. The pre-release buzz on this game is unlike ANYTHING to ever come before it. For some games you are absolutely right. nobody cares if you aren't excited about katamari coming out. But for a game like Halo 3, if you say you aren't excited about it, there better be a damn good reason, which is why it can actually be a story.
But I always did wonder why PS3 fanboys roam the 360 exclusive news and start talking trash. Same with Xbots going...
