Bah, Half-Life 2 came out HOW long ago? And we are just barely seeing games come out that actually use physics to impact the GAME PLAY instead of just being eye candy. Those games being heavenly sword, bioshock, CRACKDOWN.
Seriously....the physics in halo 3 are worthless. YAY get to watch your body ragdoll just before getting tea-bagged. Just watch how Master Cheif's balls accurately roll off your chin as you madly hit the button to respawn as quickly as possible.
You are not missing anything. At all.
Halo 3 made some significant improvments to the single player over Halo 1 and 2. So if it didn't just knock your socks off, then don't bother.
I played through halo 1 and 2 just so I would be ready for halo 3...and my god if I ever have to play another game with any levels even remotely like the Library levels...I'm sending it back.
BaH... Hop on the clue train before you start talking.
Go watch his video about heavenly sword.
You can't classify these videos as reviews, most of just his impressions about certain aspects of the games.
Obviously he exagerates things to make a point and for humour, but I still agree with him on everything I've heard him say.
Absolutely hilarious.
Makes me wonder why I stood out in the cold with shorts and a short sleeved t-shirt for 2 hours to get my copy of halo 3.
I love how some of you can turn a seemingly innocuous news article and turn into fanboy fuel.
Yeah I'm looking at you General.
You fanboys manage to somehow ruin anything you touch.
hahaha that was one of the funniest reviews I've read in a long time
And yet retarded american's will screw this title out of sales so we won't get any more decent JRPGs in the states because nobody will take a chance on making any more.
edit.
nevermind.
In a video you are going to see even LESS of a difference. Especially during gameplay when you are focused on aiming and shooting.
How are you going to count steps while it's moving :)
80 pixels people...
I am absolutely with you on this one.
Not a huge fan of halo, and even I can see that people are being a bit ridiculous about this.
Personally I think the HDR is good enough to be worth the tradeoff.
@4.3
Are you for real? Seriously, thats just the weakest argument I've ever heard.
Drama llama....*spit* HAHAHa
oh cripes...now how am I going to clean this pop out of my keyboard...
I've learned that you don't base a purchasing decision entirely on a demo. You just don't get enough out of some demos to really tell how a game is. Blue Dragon is one such demo. Demo sucked, but how can you possibly make a demo out of a an RPG that you can easily spend 60 hours on (I finished it after 65 hours and none of my characters were at level 80). Blue Dragon was so much better than the demo.
Bioshock is another example. Although the demo was great, it didn't even ...
Replay value? Ehhhh...ONLY because of the skulls and the point system. But it's certaintly not along the lines of a half-life 2 quality single player experience.
Don't get me wrong, I stood in the freaking cold for 2 hours with short sleeves and shorts to buy this game (even though I had it pre-ordered) at midnight. I enjoyed the game. Playing most of the way on Heroic by myself and then starting over to do it on Legendary with a friend on co-op was quite fun. I just didn...
"The problem is, the single player campaign is not anywhere near as compelling or as epic as is billed."
I absolutely agree with this.
There were a couple of "OOooo....Ahhhhh" Moments...but it still comes down to a "shoot them before they shoot you" game.
It was good. But not spectacular. I personally think Bioshock and GOW are better single player games.
@46.1 Well, that hasn't happened yet.
Hell, my PS2 died and I had no warranty. and my snes, and my NES...
What point are you trying to make?
If it dies from FAULTY HARDWARE then it IS covered under warranty for the next 3 years.
Electronics die eventually.
God man...you are just getting ridiculous.
OK Fess up. who let him out of his cage?
These are all TRUE?
There are a number of factors that play into the hardware failure.
Some people have release day consoles in closed cabinets running fine to this day. So how can you say that all of those are absolute guidelines?
Only thing that you CAN do is to hope it doesn't happen to yours, and if it does send it in to microsoft to replace the faulty hardware (heatisnk).
And let's not stretch the facts. Graw 2 never caused th...
"they" being forum posters. and we all know how reliable and official those can be.
Maybe there are some problem, but to post it as FACT right now is just ridiculously irresponsible.
Too bad Doom 3 doesn't take advantage of it's own physics engine. It was actually pretty decent, but you would never know it.
