People will defend DLC until it gets to a point where people are paying $60 for a four hour game with everything else locked behind a pay-wall.
I don't think companies want consumers to have more control 0_o
Meh, people will defend what they like, no point arguing that.
I'm not going to go out of my way to "prove" that EA has anti-consumer policies and that it wouldn't be beyond them to charge for an ending.
Their expiration-set Online Passes (google it up before saying that they don't), and their Origin bans which resulted in losing access to your games online or offline had to be changed because, well, you would lose your games even for ...
Wow, well okay...if you feel EA would never pull a stunt like this then I'll just leave you with this:
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Yeap, EA would never stoop that low.
Nah dude, Capcom and Square are doing the same thing with their games. YOU DO have to pay for the endings in those other games.
If EA is known for squeezing gamers the way they do then why would it be beneath them to charge for an ending if Capcom and Square are doing it?
Wild speculation? Maybe. Far fetched? Asura's Wrath says "Hi".
The EA Police disagreed with you...better lock your doors, close your windows and hide your wallet.
LOL, no one thinks EA is worse than Bank of America, most people are just happy EA won "Worst in America" because they knew EA is small enough to be affected by the negative press where-as Bank of America would shrug it off and keep on raping consumer's wallets like no tomorrow.
I respectfully disagree. I think it was EA more than BioWare.
All before BioWare got under EA they NEVER, and I mean, NEVER attempted bullcrap like they did with this game and other games released under EA's label.
Play the first two Baldur's Gate games or Knights of the Old Republic...we weren't dealing with this kind of stuff at all. However, EA has been pulling these kind of shenanigans for a long time, so I'd rather believe it was them pu...
The "Funny" was lost on three people who disagreed with you...probably the real life Jill, Claire and Sheva.
Man this game just keeps looking better and better.

Dude, did you click the link and check out the links in the article? It's all there but if you want a list:
* more than 30% of SFxT's content is behind a pay wall
* hackers found out that the pay-wall is actually a really, really cheap hex-wall so it looks like Capcom stripped off the main game to re-sell to you later
* Asura's Wrath ending requires you to pay $7 to find out how it ends
Wasn't Pachter just generally saying all gamers who "whine" about the industry were being whiny? I don't think Pachter was being specific.
Ahahahaha....ahahaha....I can't stop laughing. It's like that bully who steals your launch money for "protection" and then you finally tell the principal on him and he's like "so what, maggot" and then the principal is all like, "well I'm lowering your grade because you're a douche"
Oh look at that, Sega no longer makes Genesis' but I can still pull it out of the closet and play Sonic 3.
Sega can go belly up and I can still play Sonic 3 on my Sega Genesis because I OWN IT.
So yes, it is mine and it always will be so long as I have it in my possession.
The way the industry is moving is that gamers don't have games in their possession even with retail products (even if you buy the SFxT DLC you won't ever pos...
Yeah because Gamers forbid that they ship the game without game-breaking bugs or Black Screens of Death before tackling DLC.
Totally...
I would have been satisfied playing Zero without the customization. But now this makes me want this game even more.
Gearbox really doing their fans a service with this.
after the EA viral marketing thing went public I don't really see how this could be considered "paranoid"...I mean they literally did this before and the timing of it is all too convenient for the purpose of derailing conflict.
If this was any other publisher I would say the conspiracy theories aren't true, but for EA it seems somewhat likely.
It annoys me how there's this hypocrisy about this sort of stuff.
Like, people are rushing to this girl's defense yet always clamor to talking about how sexist the gaming industry is. I mean, seriously?
People who don't support the dumpster-slut video game girls (i.e., pick any female fighter from a fighting game aside from the females from Virtua Fighter) should be the last people saying it was wrong for this "booth babe" to get booted...
Yeah it is and it doesn't have DLC...disc-locked content.
You actually play to unlock stuff!
@Pekolie
yeah and an anti-Capcom campaign. They're messing up my hobby!
