Hilarious. And Bubs for AvP reference.

I think the MoH trailer was a bit more characterized and personal. It felt more authentic.

I'm sorry but flying conspiracy robots and old men with future-tech stories while some action hero saves the world was slightly laugh worthy. It wasn't bad, though.

Whitefeather nails it right now. It is a pipedream to assume that core gamers alone can turn the tide when so many casual noobs just buy because they're told to through fancy marketing ads.

While core gamers can help smaller franchises get recognized (I.e., Limbo, Demon's Souls, Bastion) casual gamers are the ones who help turn major profits by latching onto franchises popularized by core gamers (i.e., Call of Duty, Mass Effect, Halo, Gran Turismo, etc.,) you can'...

There's no overhead on the digital distribution costs, so it boggles my mind why they should even be entertained as having the same price.

Same here.

I loved Battle Arena Toshinden.

Bubbles my friend.

There are a lot of Wii U haters and fanboys doing stealth anti-hype.

No one has any facts but they're already dissing the Wii U. I, for one, am very excited about it and I really want to see what the software looks like in real-time. I can't believe the people on N4G are being so dense about this.

New console = exciting.

Completely agree.

Neither Sony nor Microsoft have my interest at E3. Nintendo does have my interest because of a few things, namely a new console, new IP, new features, new content.

If Sony/MS have no new consoles to show off then they'll just be showing us the same things we've already known about it, with maybe a few surprises.

Dude, I can choose to be attracted to whoever I want when I want. It's not gender locked, or feature specific. There are qualities in people that make us attracted to them on different levels. Trying to broaden it to a black and white spectrum or trying to "force" people into a specific demarcation of attraction is asinine.

There's a reason why bisexuals exist....'cause guess what? They can CHOOSE.

Ugh, kids these days.

Sir, I point you to Call of Duty, where Activision spent close to $100 million in marketing for this game. They could have financed a big budget Hollywood blockbuster with that. Alternatively, they could have designed 10 Gears of Wars for that price, or bought 10 million Chuck Norris Delta Force 2 hats, or they could have given all their World of Warcraft members one free month of gameplay.

Oh ha, scratch that last one...that would NEVER happen.

The thought of the CEO at a boardroom meeting with scraggly dressed pirates and them negotiating the terms of his mother being sold is hilarious...

MS CEO "Now you treat my mother right, or I'll charge you an extra $15.00!"

Pirates "Ya mon, it's okay, it's okay...we'll treat ya' old lady real kind, we got plenty of bananas and stuff. Yeeeeeaaaaah."

"If people think any of the gaming companies care about anything other than money, your sadly mistaken."

Kickstarter says "Hi".

And this is what happens when money comes first before caring about the gamers who made you a popular company:

Ahahaha...maybe because they were playing Doom envisioning Microsoft was the demons they had to slay!

...Just until the boss walked around the corner and they had to press F11 to activate the 'Boss Key' and pretend they enjoyed being enslaved to Microsoft.

That's because it is crap.

All the features of "COD Elite" are features we used to get for free gaming on PC.

I don't know why it's now necessary to start paying for this stuff.

To be a douche bag, Jimquisition nails it every single time. This was a perfect counter-argument to those silly corporate apologists who keep thinking that the PS2 era never existed, which obviously gave us the most bang for our buck in content to value ratio.

Ugh, yeah...because obviously I can't choose who I want to be with when I want to be with them? Really? Really?

Ugh.

Yeah exactly....anyone who doesn't see that this was all a shill-scam to distract from the bad press surrounding EVERYTHING THEY DO is missing the point.

EA does crap like this not for the sake of equality but for the sake of saving face. They don't care, as long as people want to buy their products.

WoW...Kotaku....that's an awesome article right there.
Give this guy a Pulitzer.

I'm betting Roger Ebert is gleaming with joy right now and Barbara Walters cried a single tear at the journalistic growth of the gaming industry.

Tell your kids, tell your parents, this is the kind of article as a gamer I'm proud to support. You go Kotaku! This award-worthy stuff just makes it all better!

The only reason costs are skyrocketing is because a bunch of non-gaming, non-informed investors keep thinking "More = Better", which is completely false.

Paying Hollywood talent $25 million does not make a game next-gen, it just means a bunch of washed up Hollywood talent siphoned $25 million out of a game's production budget which could have gone towards actually making the game better.

Also, all middleware tools are shrinking in costs. It'...
