Completely agreed.

I hope this doesn't turn into an RE4 situation where you're babysitting her like Ashley.

Yeah I completely agree...

The tomboy, Ellen Page look fit her nicely...and there was a measure of gravitas to the atmosphere with her character being older. In other terms, it made it believable that she could hold her own in a harsh and desperate world.

Making her younger, in my opinion, strips away from the realism and weight of the more mature look she had before.

Dude, omg, dude...really? Come on, you're making the rest of us look bad.

It's like Capcom goes and squats in front of everyone and takes a dump on a plate and everyone else is like "Ew, that's gross!" and you're one of those guys who runs up and starts eating from the plate.

You gotta stop eating that stuff man.

Yes, WMD is like Gambitious...but I don't mind either way.

The thing is, many core gamers just want the product and the product finished right. If I had to pay $100 for a dream game and I wasn't getting anything back other than that dream game (no drm, no online passes, etc.,etc.,) I don't see it as a one-way street. it's a two-way street because devs get the money and I get the game.

For people unsure about the project then yes, an "inv...

I love this post (bubbles to you). I don't discount that the agrees/disagrees are also about right. I think you have a very valid post which dictates a sound understanding of what makes some games fun and others, not so much.

I think I also had a pretty good connection with GTA's Lost and Damned. Unlike the Ballad of Gay Tony, I wasn't particularly compelled in TLAD to kill randomly because it had a much darker tone. I appreciate that you, too, liked this kind of ...

Ahahaha....well now gamers will know first-hand whether gaming press is full of BS or not because everyone will have equal footing and gaming press can't BS their way into 8s, 9s and 10s because the rest of the community will have played it as well.

I actually like Blizzard for having done that.

I agree with inven0 and ratraceme.

Investors and shareholders dictate the games we play (seriously wtf has gaming come to?) I like that devs and gamers have a direct connection with KickStarter and puts gaming back to where it belongs, on fun, creativity and interactive entertainment.

I trust Kickstarter with my money more than I trust Activision, Capcom or EA. Heck, I wouldn't trust them with a virgin wearing a chastity.

You forgot EA...

or did you assume we automatically crowned them the king of trolls?

5019d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Dude, they're too busy counting the potential dollar revenue from the disc-locked content they have planned. They don't have time to fix crap.

5019d ago 6 agree0 disagreeView comment

Where does DRM prove to stop piracy? Last I checked outside of Steam it's easier to pirate than to get a game with DRM, especially with online passes and keycodes that expire.

Besides, where was it proven that DRM forced pirates to pay for games they planned to steal? It was the complete opposite in the case of Crysis 2 and that game was pirated almost as much as Crysis 1 sold on PC.

You sir, are the reason why we have day-one DLC, journalist who protect broken products out of the box and disc-locked content.

Yes, let's continue to not rage so anti-consumerism can continue strong in the gaming industry. Let's completely forget that always-on should never have been mandatory for single-player in the first place.

LOL dude, it's like you sum up everything perfectly with what's wrong in the industry, same thing was said here:
http://n4g.com/news/984957/...

It's the same thing...these ignorant, idiot journalists keep blaming US, THE GAMERS for the shortcomings of publishers. It's ridiculous and this would never be allowed ...

I can't believe there were people who wanted this game running on UE3/CE3?

All of inXile's money would have gone into licensing/optimizing, which would have been an absolute waste of the KickStarter funds. Big, AAA engines have their place but I'm way more excited to see a game made by gamers for gamers running on software designed to make pure-bred games.

5020d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Good examples.

I don't even bother buying any game with an online pass. It's utterly pointless. 10 or 15 years from now when I want to play a game (and us real gamers do this every now and then) I don't want to find out that I can't access the game because the DRM servers are down, or the passcode is expired. Piracy bypasses that issue.

Like you mentioned, if Steam can do it so can others. It's not hard being consumer friendly and always ...

All that trolling Capcom does to consumers is getting annoying, too.

@Virtua_Awesome

Okay, you're right, the add-up is less than a full-fledged $60 title...and if you get all the content together it is cheaper.

I seen $4.99 per character pack and shades of Street Fighter X Tekken kind of took over. Sorry, I'm just riled up over all the Capcom abuse.

It's not a miracle, it's called ignorance.

Sterling completely misses the point of all those marketing dollars "gone to waste"...it's to market outside the gaming demographic and hit casuals.

Casuals see a game like Mass Effect 3 and hear core gamers talk about how great it is and latch onto it...think about it, it was marketed almost as much as Battlefield 3 and if you read about the Mass Effect series on forums, Yahoo!, etc., as a cas...

Agreed.

Namco is keeping it straight with Tekken Tag 2...at least ALL the costumes, characters and accessories are included in the game without any DLC wallet-rape.

5022d ago 6 agree3 disagreeView comment

Yeah I was excited until I seen all that DLC crap at the bottom...wtf were they thinking? Sega must have had lunch with a Capcom exec before issuing that press release.

Some of the sleaze seems to have rubbed off on them.
