Comatose NPCs have become more common this gen than ever especially on FPS because the "AI" NPCs have been replaced by human controlled multiplayer. Remember the hype before this gen came out about improvement in AI? At least, some developers tried to do some AI in NPCs but it seems more developers have given up on trying especially on NPCs in shooters. I played COD MW3 and BF3 and the enemies AI are next to comatose AI. The NPCs are scripted with no intelligent what to do if the pa...
Do pirates skip the online or contents that are locked by the online pass? I haven't seen anyone is able to unlock contents locked by online pass without the online pass code.
On PC, the key codes are often cracked by a code generator until the publisher figure out how to block the fake codes. Has this been attempted on the console by using an online pass code generator?
That's the issue with mandatory update. If Sony doesn't make everyone update just to be able to use PS3 like before, then no one can say the firmware update broke something.
What if you are standing in front of those PS3 that broke after update, what are you going to say? If this is proven in front of Sony, what are they going to do about it?
The point is Sony makes it mandatory to update to be able to use your PS3 online and play future games and if ...
I already seen several X360 Cloud Storage bugs when using multiple consoles and multiple Gamertag accounts.
It's quite easy for the Cloud storage to get stuck not syncing. The worst part is on the same Gamertag on multiple consoles, the Cloud available space become inconsistent because Cloud by default doesn't sync the online game save with the local copy hidden in 514MB cache file. So, depending which game saves I manually tell to sync down to the local hard drive, U...
Thanks for the info.
So, technically, you can never complete the main story quest to play the DLCs. Lame way to "continue" the game without having to deal with your choices. Of course that makes the game "less realistic" because the final war will keep waiting for you.
I haven't play Fallout Vegas in months after completed almost every little things because it freezed so often. Do you have all the DLCs? If so, can you have the main que...
Does Best Buy give $10 pre-order for Collector's Edition? At Amazon, regular edition gets $10 credit but Collector's Edition gets no pre-order credit.
I tried to order PS3 Collector's Edition at Best Buy but it says nothing if there's any $10 credit.
Two questions:
1. Has Bethsoft fixed the game hanging if you completed almost everything in the main story quest? I played the game without any DLC and by 40-50 hours into the game, it freezes up every few minutes especially if I'm in New Vegas.
2. If I have completed the main story quest, is it possible to continue on with the DLCs? If so, does it effect the DLCs depending who is left in control in the main story quest?
Does playing as villains have different ability and behave differently from Drake and his pals? It's just stupid when everyone have same abilities like wearing a different skin only.
Actually, that isn't true with X360 original memory card or USB sticks. Many X360 games now have "exists at one location at a time" copy-protection. You are not allowed to copy, only move the game save file. And since it's locked to Gamertag, you can't share the game saves.
But it's easy to get around the copy-protection because you can hack the game saves storage.
All depend what games you are playing and when they were released. A lot of games published by EA and Capcom back in 2009, 2010 and earlier 2011 have copy-protected game saves.
It's getting better now but there are still some new games with copy-protected saves.
Personally, I have more than 20 games that have copy-protected saves.
NukaColaClassic,
Yeah. Many copy protected game saves are very time consuming games like you said.
When I had PS+ Cloud Storage trial, I back up all my copy-protected game saves and 150MB just wasn't enough space. Dragon Age: Origins UE game saves are about 10MB+ each. After backing several DA: O saves and other games saves, Cloud Storage ran out of space.
Even you backup your copy-protected saves to Cloud still isn't very practical if you are...
And the story makes sense? How come time paradox in revisiting the same place never encounter themselves?
I finally just have to play XIII-2 by ignoring the story, just blind gameplay because the time paradox story just doesn't make sense to me.
A cheap method is new timeline gets created. One issue is if new timeline keeps get created, how does the person remember what the last version did to change? The point is Square has to use time travel as an excus...
And there are still plenty of gamers today that don't backup their game saves until they finally lost some game saves.
To those that do backup game saves regularity, Sony provides copy-protect game saves for publishers to use. And then sell you PS+ Cloud Storage to be able to back them up. It's a contradict logic because if you pay money, they are happy to let you backup.
Another review that ignores the bad story in XIII-2 and gives it a good rating because everything else is good? If a story driven RPG game has poorly designed story in excuse to be make it less linear, it doesn't matter how good the gameplay is, the game is still garbage.
I guess too many reviewers today don't really put much weight in the game story anymore. As long there are plenty of fun gameplay, that's all that matters like watching a Hollywood movie that is ...
One thing I don't understand from reviewers who said FF XIII-2 is great. Which is more important when playing a story driven RPG game? A good story or gameplay?
I played XIII-2 and found to the time travel story or rather lack of story to be garbage. It simply doesn't make much sense. We know why Square uses time travel in XIII-2, in trying to create the game less linear. Also, what kind of time paradox in XIII-2 universe that the characters can never run into duplica...
Maybe Zaeed doesn't like FemShep being his commander.
Never trust Zaeed. In ME2 suicide mission, at the final battle with human-reaper, if you take loyal Zaeed and unloyal someone else, Zaeed will run to Normandy and doesn't wait for Shepard. That's even after Shepard went ahead with Zaeed to have time for his revenge in his loyality mission. Kasumi is opposite. She will wait for Shepard when she got to Normandy.
I can see that because only those characters have personal state and have been with Shepard from ME1. The new squadmates from ME2 were there as support for Shepard. Miranda was assigned to watch Shepard.
Liara will be the only original squadmate that will always be with Shepard in ME3 since she could't be killed off in ME1/2. For PS3 version, Ashley or Kaiden will always be in ME3 because the comic book didn't give a way to kill both off.
According to IGN, Grunt is coming back:
So far, BioWare has confirmed the following cast for Mass Effect 3:

That's because publishers keep thinking unless the game has something to shoot all the time, it will not sell.
That's why traditional adventure games don't exist anymore. The hero must shoot and kill hundreds to thousands for the game to be fun.
For many gamers, unless they can shoot, it's not fun.
