Gamers/reviewers often complain if the sequel plays too much like the prequel, the game doesn't get high points in the rating.
I played all three Uncharted. By Uncharted 3, it plays more of the same as Uncharted 2. Sure, the graphics have some improvement with solid storytelling but this is a game. To me, Uncharted 3 gameplay doesn't improve over the prequel. Drake's battle system is the same before. There's no addition to his ability. All Drake can do is hand...
What happens to not buy the product if you don't agree the direction where the company is taking the product?
Fanboys are a joke. They always think the company owns them how the product should go. If the company has to loose tons of money or go out of business to keep the product "pure" to the root, so be it.
Out of all the arguments, why is the value of being loyal to one brand console company? There is no such thing as one console brand has everything. Even you don't count exclusives, the non-exclusive or cross platform games aren't equal in quality on each console. Why limit yourself to not able to choose the best version? Price, in end, you are spending just as much on each one after all the extra controller and add-ons.
Reading a lot of forums and debates, on the need...
Need to ask the real question. Out of the total consoles sold, how many active console being played.
For myself, I play 0.1% of my Wii while I played my PS3 and X360 about equally. So, technically my Wii doesn't even count as one in the market.
Reply to yabhero:
True until Wii U is physically out, the console power is speculated. But you need to remember that this is Nintendo making Wii U. They are never into putting too much power because they want to make profit from day one. The 3-5X the PS3 is highly unlikely. My personal guess is about the same as PS3 and X360. Why, it's the cheapest way to manufacture from old tech. If Wii U turned out to be PS3/X360 power, then there's little point. It's like getting all e...
I also have no loyalty to any one company. It will be Microsoft and Sony. Which console I play more depends on the games. Only company that I have no interest is Nintendo. I have Wii and it gets played 0.1% of the time. Wii U is only current gen which 6 years behind.
Seriously, why be loyal to one game console company? Being loyal means you are missing out the exclusives and unable to choose the best version for non-exclusives.
With the new dashboard, the avatar doesn't show the prop anymore until you select to look at avatar in details.
If avatar holding weapon is being banned, soon only a spoon is allowed for the avatar to use as a weapon.
He needs to buy home made console which is X360.
Just treat FF XIII as the real ending. XII-2 wasn't originally planned as a sequel. So, if you are willing to pay double to Square to milk you for both FF XIII, then you are already saying Square can milk you again for the another ending.
Plenty of other games to play if you choose to skip FF XIII-2.
If you want game publishers to ship more polished, less buggy especially not broken out of the box, stop buying those games. Nothing is more powerful than when the sales drop because only then the publisher will listen.
Problem with what I said is too many (to most) gamers today accept buggy games. I even read said because the game is so good that it's okay to deal with bugs and bugs and workarounds to play the game. Such attitude doesn't help because it tells the pub...
Purely marketing scam to get us to like Sony facebook. The dynamic theme shows a picture of a dead body on the bed with slightly animated leaves outside the window.
The game from the trailer? The environment looks like from Enslaved with two main characters shooting and running from mindless people. Been there, done it type of idea. The idea looks more boring than Enslaved.
Treasure Hunter trophy in FF XIII wouldn't be as bad if I get to use all the items I have to obtain. To complete the story and all the stone quests, I only need to upgrade a few weapons. Then, I have to run around for another 40-50 hours obtaining everything else that have no use. Just poor design to "double" the playtime if the gamer wants to Platinum.
Will be interesting the following trophies take as much time or more compared to FF XIII Treasure Hunter trophy.

Does Skyrim on PS3 have copy-protect game save file? If not, why the need to pay for PS+ for the Cloud Storage? I'm not against PS+ but if Cloud Storage is that useful, the tiny 150MB is simply not enough to store all my game saves.
Back to my original question. If Skyrim on PS3 game save file isn't copy protected, isn't it a lot cheaper to plug in an USB flash stick and far larger storage capacity for less money?
As for Skyrim being buggy, even b...
In FF XIII, Square was lazy in using one size fits all compression ratio. There is a FF fan site that custom recompressed all the cutscenes from PS3 version into 720p. Not only the total cutscenes file size were smaller than FF XIII cutscenes in the game on X360, they were a lot higher quality.
If you want to produce best possible video quality to small file size ratio, it takes a lot more efforts than what Square did. But then again, if X360 version of cutscenes looked too g...
For those who disagreed, I guess you don't understand the amount of disk space it takes to store uncompressed video.
It's not uncompressed, more like less compressed. If it's completely uncompressed, 50GB BD will not be enough for the cutscenes.
I read recently Bioware has completed developing ME3. Since they have about 3 months, they better do a good beta testing and fix just about every critical bugs.
My concern is they may spend too much time testing the multiplayer than the single player because I don't care about the multiplayer. If they can get the single player rock solid and have time, then go ahead and spend time on multiplayer. Single player must come first in quality.
I have quite a number of difference saves in ME2, not just the main game ending but I also chose how I ally with the Cerberus and others in DLCs. I have to keep a chart to remember what decisions I made in each save files.
Since Bioware has been hyping about the importance of decisions made in ME1/MW2, I'm putting a lot more expectation on different paths and outcomes in ME3.
If Bioware didn't make a big deal of this hype, I wouldn't have expect a...
The game has a serious flaw. Even you get all your witnesses/suspects questioning wrong, they will tell you what you need to know anyway at the end of the questioning. If you don't have enough evidence to lock up a suspect, the game will ensure the suspect will run after released and you get him anyway by chasing him down. All the game requires is able to catch those that run and kill those that shoot. Having intelligence in detective work and questioning are completely optional.
