While I agree but remember, the first group of buyers are more hardcore or have money. They buy into the marketing "hypes" with any need of proof as long the marketing looks good.

Remember, Wii U has 1 year or so before next Xbox and/or PS4 are out. So, Nintendo has to say whatever they can to try gain some shares because once the next Xbox or PS3 are out, Nintendo knows Wii U is back to the 3rd because Wii U is really last gen graphics. No hard drive also a killer....

Don't people here who said 12GB isn't enough to install anything have any common sense? First you need to think why Sony would release a "12GB" storage model. Who is the target audience of "12GB" model? Don't think hardcore gamers because you are wrong (reason explained later).

Now look at X360 without hard drive model. Who is the target audience for the model? How much is X360 without hard drive sells for? Less than cheapest PS3 with a hard dr...

Correct response if stop buying games from bad publisher.

That's one thing pirates can't do, they must steal the games even they don't agree with the publisher.

If the game ends up not selling and NOT PIRATED because of the publisher, you know what that means for them. (Yes, I know that will never happen because pirates will steal everything.)

Usually when a new model is close to be coming out, most major stores will be running low on stock for the previous model (unless some stores overstocked their supply for the previous model).

Watch around September time frame and see if most stores are low on PS3 supply.

I also think the 16GB model is a good idea. Hardcore gamers usually upgrade the default hard drive anyway. So, why waste the "medium" sized hard drive in the PS3? But the real reaso...

If Square starts to release games quickly like how most western game companies are, FF will be full of bugs.

Real question, why is waiting so difficult? There are more games in the market that you can keep up. That's the problem with today's game consumers. Everything must be ready now, consume it quickly and forget about it. Same demand again. It will be interesting how today and future gamer generations see art. Run through the art museum and call it done immediatel...

I think that is the main problem for many of us who don't want to buy pre-ME3 ending DLC. We already know the conclusion of the story and not as interested in going back to play the "missing chapter".

I really like to see post-ME3 story DLC even without Shepard.

It does not matter if Wii U is slightly more powerful than PS3 or X360. Remember Wii U is "next" gen and by the time next gen PS4 and Xbox come out, Wii U will be more like "last" gen power again. Developers making games for Wii U will again have to make the games for "last" gen.

Remember the battle between which is more powerful? PS3 or X360? Sure both consoles have its own advantage but explain to me why every game now run 99.5% the same? Simpl...

One question is how often from now on for Bioware to release more ME3 story based DLCs. They spent the 1st 5 months releasing Multiplayer DLCs which were great but the longer they wait, the less interest in the story DLC because most have moved on to other games.

I haven't played the story for months and only played the multiplayer. Yesterday, I started a new single player game and almost forgot how to play in "single player" style.

That is why games should NOT have any achievement or trophy. I like the old days when someone plays the hardest difficulty or go out of the way to do certain things in the games, it was because the games were fun. Nowadays, most gamers do it mostly for the achievement and trophy.

I think the real issue with next gen PS and Xbox is how many publishers will be willing to spend the money to make their games truly next gen?

I'm sure most of you have read about the cost of making very high quality graphics. Also, good AI was heavily hyped in current PS3/X360 gen but most developers have given up writing any decent AI in games. FPS story mode has zero AI because they are all scripted.

So, the big question is what will the next gen games...

If you don't agree with Vita security restrictions, why buy one? Only when the product fails in the market because gamers don't want tight securities, then Sony will have to open up the security or the Vita will complete fail to sell.

If Uncharted 3 still got GOTY award, it's really saying there isn't any adventure games today. U2 was way better than U3 and it's surprising U3 still got GOTY. The again without any competition in adventure games today, being the only one automatically gets GOTY. But in reality, GOTY makes no senses because there are many GOTY each year.

So why bother calling any game, GOTY?

You mean you never backup your game saves files? So, if you loose the game save files by any chance, do you just replay from the beginning?

I keep thousands of save games files because I often load the older ones to remember what I did if I only play the game once every few weeks or months. Or sometimes I want to backtrack quickly because I got stuck taking certain path.

If you include all the original functions on the plat PS3 that got "cut out", you are using even less "brain". I used to use those "cut out" functions and if I also use most of other functions in the PS3, does it mean I'm using more than 100% of my "brain"?

You need to remember, movie actors today are still not used to the idea of die in the story and then come back to life before that happens and retry again. But on video games, most are expected to do that. It's normal for the main character in the story to die many times before the story ends. (If you play at hardest difficulty, your character lifetime could be a few seconds to minutes each time).

Just tell any Hollywood actor that in the game story he/she plays, there ar...

Since remake FF VII requires remaking the entire game because of the PS1 graphics, how many will be willing to pay around $100 since most who wanted the game are fans only which means not enough buyers.

And, if you like FF VIII so much, why do the PS1 graphics bother you? Must the game be pretty to be playable?

How to do you resell them or give them away? If you play a lot of games, you need hundreds to terabytes of hard drive. If you need to redo the hard drive, have fun trying to reinstall terabytes of games again.

More like Ouya is getting early start against Wii U because once PS4/next Xbox comes out, Ouya hardware will be so far behind.

Maybe Ouya will be fun trying to get some old emulators to run PS1/PS2 games on it.

You forget why X360 HDD is expensive and also the reason Microsoft is making money by selling 4GB X360. Because Sony tried to be nice in letting PS3 use any general laptop hard drive, with 4GB PS3, Sony is loosing the chance to make money.

I know gamers just want the cheapest way to upgrade the console (including myself) but the console maker also needs a way to make profit from accessories. With 16GB PS3, Sony looses because they can't make up by selling expensive hard d...
