Hopefully on PS3 and X360 version, there wouldn't be a lot of pause, press a few buttons, continue, pause, press a few buttons during battles.

I played the Wii version and it was a joke trying to fight in the battles. During the battle, the game would pause every few seconds asking the gamers to shake Wiimote in certain way, continue, pause, continue pause. It was probably because Wiimote is so inaccurate that the game needs to pause to ensure the gamer has enough time to shake W...

Are people today getting so ignorance to openly share so much of their personal info online? It becomes much easier for hackers to figure out about someone who likes to share too much of personal info online.

Or is it the need to brag about oneself?

With different stores breaking the street date more common now and game publishers don't care anymore because in today's market, able to sell more is all that matters, the team "street date" will not mean much over time.

When was the last time we heard the store looses the license to sell when they break the street date? Isn't that the original reason for "street date"?

It has become if you are going to do it, I'm also going to do it to sell more ...

How about price the console for $500 and the 120GB X360 hard drive for $50? Microsoft like Sony and Nintendo needs to make the money back from somewhere if they have to sell the console cheap.

Gamers seem to think game console companies should not make any money by selling everything very cheap. All the engineering and marketing to the gamers is like free.

Patch and online gaming are on different servers. You don't need to login to PSN for the games to download the patches. It's why you can't login to PSN but the game can download the patch.

Activision knows about what gaming addiction means. Gamers would say now, no way, and yet when Activision starts charging to play online, there will be enough gamers that will be so addicted that they will pay to continue playing. A few will drop off but there will be enough that will pay for Activision to make more profit. Once one publisher proves this strategy to work, other publishers will follow. Just look back at the history of gaming on contents that used to be free changed to not free...

Putting HD on the new Wii isn't enough to make it work. To do true HD games, it requires a lot more CPU, GPU, memory and storage. If Nintendo does this, the hardware becomes expensive since Nintendo has never done it and new hardware with such much horse power will be expensive when it comes out. With PS3 and X360 are close to the old Wii price, Nintendo would have to sell the new Wii at a huge lost. Going from good profit selling Wii to loosing money with the new Wii doesn't fly with Nintend...

It's because gamers "can't wait" to play it. It's why this gen, almost every games require multiple patches.

As long gamers keep this "can't wait" attitude wanting to play games quickly, games will continue to ship broken with nasty bugs. To the publishers, why ensure the game is mostly bugs free if gamers are will to throw $60 or more at it? Make the money first and fix later is the best model coming to gaming market.

If you don't agree on buying...

Why do people think buying PS3 wouldn't get banned? Sony already banned cheaters PSN account when playing games online.

In reality, if parents buying PS3 over X360 thinking PS3 cannot get banned, it's much easier to get banned when their kids started to cheat playing games online even PS3 console has never been modded.

So, which is better?

PC fans always like to brag about the PC version has better graphics. To be fair comparison, the hardware cost on the PC must be included or the PC version needs to be using hardware that costs about the same as PS3 and X360 which is $300. So, for a $300 PC, what would the graphics quality?

If PC hardware cost isn't included in the comparsion, PC fans can easily use top of the line video card, CPU and a lot of memory that costs over $1000 to brag the PC version is better.

One thing PS3 fans forget is pirates who modded X360 is to play pirated games. So, for them to buy PS3 after their X360 got banned isn't logical. There isn't any way to really mod PS3 to run pirated PS3 games. A few modders said they have hacked PS3 but no one has been able to prove they can run pirated PS3 games on "modded" PS3 or we would have seen many modded PS3 running pirated games.

Until PS3 can be modded to run pirated PS3 games, the pirates will keep trying to ...

It's just amusing to read complains about MW2 campaign is too short when Activision already said the campaign will be short. Activision/IW already got the $60-$150 from each gamer (7 million sold day 1), so what would they care? The online is also broken.

In the end, who is the stupid one if you "can't wait" to buy and play it than wait to see if the game is worth the money?

With so many gamers "can't wait" to play MW2, why surprised the game is buggy? There is no reason for IW/Activiton to ensure the game is mostly bug free before shipping since they already knew million gamers "can't wait" to buy and play it. As long gamers keep "can't wait", games will continue to ship out buggy.

It's all about make the money now and fix it later. Consumers are too stupid to buy broken products anyway.

Difference between drugs and games addiction is business is pushing for more games addiction because it's money. As any kind of addiction, by the time it has become a serious problem widely, it's too late trying to control it. People who aren't real gamers still don't understand the meaning of games addiction. With drugs, the person addicted to it still have to buy it from the black market. With games, it's much easier to stay addicted because the person can play the games at the friends' hou...

Reality is gamers today keep saying can't wait, must play now, etc. Many gamers rather play buggy games than willing to wait for several months longer for the game to fixed until it's less buggy.

If gamers are willing to buy broken and buggy games, then game publishers will release them quickly to make the money. Why not if the consumers are dumb enough to buy the broken product.

This generation games are the buggiest. It's because of easy online patches. Game publis...

There is no such thing as the best gaming system, X360, PS3, PC or Wii. Be a fan to one console simply means missing out some great games exclusive to other console.

I played games on X360, PS3, a little PC and Wii. I don't see any of the console is the best. Whichever the game I like determines which console I'm playing. Who cares about all the bragging about which gaming system has better hardware. Even the most powerful gaming system hardware is useless if the game I want to p...

This is what Nintendo best in. Repackage the same DSi with a larger screen without any new features. It's the cheapest way to come out with a new model with minimal engineering.

It's why Nintendo is able to make more profit than Sony with handheld gaming. Keep It Simple Stupid repackaged old technology works.

As long download is locked to the account and not resellable, I prefer the disc version.

ISP will love more gamers buy more download games.

With more subscribers download/streaming movies and download games, it's only time more ISP will charge by bandwidth usage again. The strategy of advertising high speed internet wouldn't work when more subscribers are using more bandwidth.

With Wii isn't selling as fast as it used to be, Nintendo needs extra cash cow. With so many gamers already own DSi, an easy way is release a DSi with 4" screen because there isn't much extra engineering needed. The overall design is probably still the same as DSi. Nintendo knows plenty of DSi fans will buy it.

Nintendo has always prove that "keep it simple stupid" design always make more money than Sony that puts far more engineering into PSP or PSP Go.

Microsoft's original decision to use DVD9 on X360 were based on several reasons.
Blu-ray and HD DVD were in the format war.
HD DVD for X360 was done as external USB drive as a safe experiment.
Blu-ray disc reading was too slow. See how many PS3 games have to do by installing the game to the hard drive to get a faster loading. Sure several great PS3 games are optimized well for reading off the Blu-ray disc at good speed but game developers often don't want to figure out how t...
