Playing ignorance works everytime for excuse on not able to do it.
One fact is the developer doesn't even want to bring up why they can't use 50GB disc for LA Noire. They know they don't have much excuse if they said 50GB disc is too expensive. They also didn't say anything about additional fee for more 3 DVD discs on X360 version.
Reality is they need an excuse to justify the need to sell the dropped contents as DLCs.
If $5 bargain bin Blu-ray movies can "afford" to use 50GB disc, there is no reason why game developers can't afford to use 50GB disc. They continue to use it as an excuse why they had to drop contents. Real reason, sell them as DLC.
This was the same when Lost Planet 2 came out. Capcom said because they want to keep the game to one DVD disc on X360 version, they refused to have the same contents on PS3 version. And they sold dropped contents as as DLC.

Overall, I think LA Noire is a decent game but several issues with the game are major disappointments.
1. For over half the game, it's just investigating random cases that have nothing to do with the "main" story. Even a few "Black Dahlia" cases thrown in half way through have nothing to do with the "main" story. Once the "main" story related cases start about 70% into the game, the game hurry to the end.

The article nailed 3 of the PS3 OS features that seriously need improvement. On X360, I use the Guide which is simplified dashboard even on the dashboard because it's so fast and I can get to what I want very quickly. Rule number 1, stop believing in the game marketing hypes. If you are so naive into believing the hypes, the look at yourself when you are disappointed with the game.
Wait for a few weeks after the games come out, read many reviews from different types of gamers and that will give some good ideas if the game is really up to the hype.

I have confirmed with Microsoft customer service that if you cancel your credit card while auto renew is still on, Microsoft will continue to bill your credit card until your account gets suspended. So, if you care about your account, this isn't the best method to disable the Gold Live.

You are right. LA Noire being a game is unique. LA Noire made in a movie is just another 1940 detective movie that has been done to death mostly in the past. And compared to LA Condidential, LA Noire isn't as good.
