Is that even a surprise with Sony?

I like my PS3 but I really hate how Sony does things.

I'm of the few who really like FFXIII style. Even completed PS3 and X360 versions.

But with frequent release of DLCs on FFXIII-2, I'm going to wait until all the DLCs are included.

The real reason to buy PS3 during launch wasn't to play true next gen games. It usually takes about 2 years before true next gen game comes out.

PS3 had one advantage to get during launch, cheapest Blu-ray movie player. Neither X360 nor Wii had anything unique.

So with all those who can't wait for the next gen, PS4, X720 or whatever they will be called, don't expect any true next gen games again. With the increasing cost in higher detail design, e...

Both PS3 and X360 continue to show incredible technology while Wii has been stuck for a long time going no where. Yes Wii had a few good games but being last gen, it has given everything long time ago.

There aren't as many who own more than 2 PS3s but I have 4 PS3 consoles. I like having a PS3 in each room in my house.

The way Sony rewards their consumers who bought many PS3 consoles is make it harder to use all their systems. There are many things in PS3 Sony has made it harder to own multiple consoles.

What about those who own multiple PS3 consoles and the 5 consoles sharing is handy. Now we have to activate and deactivate often if you bought all the PSN games on the same account.

Sony, forget who the spokenman used to promote sharing was encouraged.

Over the years, I learned is Sony will change their statement later. You simply cannot buy Sony product for what it can do today. If Sony changes their mind later, any feature you bought the PS3 for may get removed. Of course, with the new TOS, you can't even sue Sony anymore.

The way PSN account activation works is entire account is locked to the console just by downloading one game in the account.

For example the PSN account has Game A, Game B and Game C.
You cannot share
Game A to Console 1
and
Game B to Console 2
and
Game C to Console 3.

Technically, each game in the account hasn't been shared for more than 1 console but it not the way Sony counts them. Sony requires you to d...

Most gamers play COD for multiplayer, not the story. Personally, I don't like newer COD because it's mostly the same in multiplayer. Even the story campaign doesn't have much story anymore. I just rented MW3 and the story campaign is like short flashes of events. A few times I got confused who I'm fighting for since I jumped from person to another person and never given much time to really know who I am. It's completely opposite Assassin's Creed series.

More of the same is what AC series have been. The gameplay in Altair and Ezio trilogy has been mostly alike, added a few abilities in each one but I enjoy AC for the story. It's interesting to follow Ezio from just a troublemaker kid and being ladiesman in his early years to learning the responsibility of being the Assassin as he gets older. If you follow each game, you know what Ezio was feeling in the his letter to his sister. He has been an Assassin for 35-40 years. I read somewhere Ez...

If Bethesda can truly fix this bug, that will be a surprise because it's the same problem with Fallout 3 GOTY/New Vegas and they were never fixed.

5324d ago 4 agree2 disagreeView comment

This sounds like Fallout 3 GOTY on PS3. Did Bethesda test Skyrim/Fallout 3 in small segments and never let the save game file grew really large by completing everything in the same playthrough?

With the history of Bethesda ignoring to fix this kind of bug on Fallout 3/New Vegas, this bug could become a feature.

That is the reason to never buy any new game immediately. Most are driven by hypes anyway.

If more gamers do this, there will be more quality games than more crappy in the market because publishers use the hypes to heavily sell the crappy and buggy games.

A way to do it is assume the "release" date is 6 months after the games have come out. Also, the games that are worth buying have been patched to be less buggy.

Even then, there are still plenty of gamers who bought into the pre-order marketing hype.

Game being longer than movies doesn't mean the story contents are necessary longer. In movies, the audience don't sit in one scene for an hour because there are only a few minutes of contents that the audiences need to know. In games, the gamers could be fighting a battle for an hour or longer. Example for a same scene contents: movie = 5 minutes vs game = 1 hour.

In movies, the audiences cannot get stuck in a scene. The movie simply goes on even the audiences are con...

Out of 3 consoles, X360 is the only one left that has BC with some of the Xbox games. Will be interesting if Nintendo will try to sell GameCube as download like PS2 games as download on PS3.

I agree few PS3 owners use OtherOS, but it is part of the PS3 features for the few who do use it.

Some PS3 games have proven if well optimized for Blu-ray disc loading, it can overcome the slow BD drive. But cross platform games rarely get well optimized for disc loading.

Just save the development time and dump the entire game on the hard drive. It's not Ubisoft's problem if gamer's hard drive is full or have to buy a larger hard drive.

So the real problem is Ubisoft. This is the 4th Assassin's Creed and all of them require large install. ...

Would you like to donate a larger hard drive? Either you have to delete and reinstall games like a PC or spend extra $$$ for a larger hard drive. And, then if you have locked game saves, either spend more $$$ for PS+ Cloud Storage or full hard drive that can often fails to restore entirely if it detects copy protected data.

I have asked such question and guess what, fans of the game will reply that at launch, it's okay to forgive broken game and hope the bugs get fixed later.

In other words, reviews don't need to reveal if the game is very buggy.
