But, but, have you SEEN Titanfall?! Isn't that supposed to be a great game? It's getting discounted left and right.
I think right now people are in a state of euphoria and are blowing this whole announcement out of proportion. On June 9 they will sell the Xbox One without the Kinect for $399. Everyone keeps saying this is going to push them ahead of PS4, but all it does is put them in parity. You can still argue that the PS4 is more powerful, but they will both cost the same.
So on June 9, a XB1 + Titanfall will cost you $460. In April, you could buy XB1 + Kinect + Titanfall for $450. How...
So games played on a system without the Kinect plugged in will run faster? It's like that "Turbo" button they used to put on PCs.
"We have over 80 million people who have yet to buy an XB1." ?? Every 360 sold is going to translate into a XB1 sale? Aren't quite a few of those 80 million double or triple purchases by the same person?
Now if only some place would slash the price of Infamous Second Son by $20. I'm waiting for this one.
No, obviously not. Phil is not after the PlayStation now that they've dropped the Kinect. Was Phil ever going to go after the PlayStation? I think it's probably the furtherest thing from his mind.
That was sarcasm by the way. The Xbox Team has been going after PlayStation for the last year. They were trying to go after them last E3, so of course that's what they're trying to do. I mean, really?
Two words to that: Bull and... well, you know the rest.
I'm pretty sure the only reason MS made this move now is because April/May NPD numbers are going to be horrible for the XB1. Now they can use this announcement as cover.
I don't think their announcing it now has to do with their confidence in their E3 lineup but rather to soften the blow for low sales expected in April/May. Now when May's sales come in much lower than expected, they can say, "Well naturally a lot of customers were waiting for the less expensive option."
Now it looks like you have two nearly identical products, each at the same price, with the PS4 being slightly more powerful.
Titanfall didn't change thing...
I think Andrew House is going to read "Console Wars" and get all inspired to take it to Nintendo. He's going to come out swinging and go on a marketing blitz for the Vita.
Such drama over one picture on twitter. Mods and all, huh?
Looks like this is going to be the definitive version of Minecraft. Full featured AND portable. That's incredible. The easy prediction is that it will sell millions. The Vita will surpass the PS4 in sales, and within a year will be within arms reach of the 3DS. A bold prediction, no?
Once this comes out I'm fairly sure I won't see my daughter for days. Maybe at breakfast, but that's probably it.
I just can't get into these games. maybe I just need to immerse myself in them for awhile so I can really appreciate them. I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of great games because of it.
Of course, I still have so many other great games waiting for me on my Vita that I'll be ok.
For $50/year I get more games than I can play for my PS3/4/Vita. Things are cheaper than ever.
As someone who has played both games on the Vita to completion, I can say that I don't think she gets it. She says she can't recommend this version over the PS3 one? Well no $h!#. But even the cut scenes on the PS3 look like garbage compared to the rest of the game. God of War on the Vita is fun. It has its problems here and there, but overall it's really good.
And to complain that they make use of the rear touchpad is ridiculous. It actually works really well. It certainl...
How do I add in that .gif of Ron Paul waving his hands "IT'S HAPPENING!"
What's bad? Everyone is playing on the PS4.
Or what if they sold a Wii U without the gamepad and you could use the 3DS instead?
I remember when the Wii first launched, there was all this talk and promise of how the DS was going to be used as a second screen for games. There would be interaction between the two devices. That never happened as far as I know. I got a DS because of that promise and about the only thing that came of it was certain demos could be downloaded through the Wii.
I'd like to see Nintendo make m...
Nintendo has publicly stated they won't be announcing new hardware at E3. What are the chances they announce some sort of service like Remote play between the 3DS and Wii U?
That's the problem with assuming sales were huge because there is no stock. I'm sure it will do well its first week, but I don't know about after that. Some marketing would probably help.
Exactly. If Sony responded by releasing a $350 PS4 that didn't have a controller, it's not a price drop. A real price drop would be the same offering but at a lower price.
Here you're paying less but getting less at the same time.
