He was better.
It's just that I've played demos for 4 hours and they were free.
But it seems like they're still trying to figure out pricing and PS+ discounts.
edit: After reading it again, I'm wondering if the $3-20 talk was for purchasing the game. They way it's worded is weird, but they could be talking that rentals will be $2.99 and to purchase a game will be between $3 and $20. We won't know until they launch the system, but they did say you would be a...
So $3 for a 4 hour rental? I'm not sure about that. Seems a little high to me.
They forgot about the Vita? You're right in that they have a lot to focus on, but they showed the Vita a lot more than I thought they would. The CEO even referred to it as a "key pillar" in their lineup. He talked about the games coming to it, Minecraft, and remote play.
It certainly got a lot more attention than the PS3.
The reason I didn't think the Vita was going to be a big deal at E3 is because this show is going to be dedicated to the PS4 and Sony still...
This is far and away the most exciting thing that was announced all day. From the moment the Vita TV was first announced last year, I thought this was the future of PlayStation. A $99 device plus PS Now and you have the true future of video game consoles.
I can't wait to get this.
I wonder if this is going to be the console version or a port of the 3DS version. Please, please, please be the console version. I mean, if Minecraft can do it, Infinite can do it.
This can't be. I thought Sony hated the Vita and nobody was giving it any support. And yet all I see is game after game after game coming out for it.
I seriously need to play episode 1. This game looks fantastic.
I don't think they have more momentum, I just think they handle their pre-E3 publicity different.
Microsoft likes to talk. A lot. About everything. Remember last year when they were making announcements left and right, and stating what their new policies were? Then at E3 they kept it up.
Sony meanwhile makes a big announcement and then is silent for a long time until they drop another bomb. Last year going into E3, Sony was absolutely silent. nobody knew where they stood o...
I think a lot of the people complaining are people who just own a PS3 and see this as a downgrade (which it is for them). The number of PS3 games is going to go down while the number of other games will go up.
But if you own all three platforms, this is a steal. Yes, you lose those evergreen titles, but they had to go at sometime. I mean, having Uncharted Golden Abyss available for free for over a year has to kill sales of that game otherwise.
The biggest slap in the face was their line,
"If anything, things are accelerating instead of slowing down."
It's a subtle way of saying Amy was slowing things down. Ouch.
Everyone has this all wrong. TWO surprises?? Isn't it obvious??
1. A new Wonderbook game.
2. A new Move game.
3. Minds blown.
I disagree. I got Trine 2 for the PS3 from PS+ as well, and I really enjoyed it. So much so that I have seriously been wanting to get it on the PS4 as well. It's a great game and I'm looking forward to having a go at it again, this time in 3D.
And I'm sure that Dragon's Crown and Muramasa will eventually be coming to NA. It seems like when EU gets some awesome games, they eventually come to NA and vice versa.
The PSP was as popular as it eventually became because it was easy to pirate games for it. Everyone knew this, and so did Sony. If they were going to have the Vita succeed, they were going to need to figure a way to stop that and so we get the proprietary cards.
I actually don't have a problem with them or their cost. Yes, I'd like to see them be cheaper, but after having bit the bullet and bought a 32gb, I'm fine. It was the same as buying a couple games, and it saves me ...
I don't like when a lot of people in the games media say something like, "The Vita didn't sell XX numbers, it's dead." It's not. Low sales aside, there are still millions more Vitas in the world this year than last.
What gets me is that I see article after article about how to save the Wii U, but when they talk about the Vita, it's just about how doomed the system is.
Right now it's a niche product, but one that seems to be making some money. There's nothing wrong with that. It should be around for awhile because while its user base is relatively small, it's very passionate.
... are better than no patches at all.
But that's not going to happen. They've labeled it as crap and have moved on.
That sucks.
The problem is that without the Kinect, what makes the XB1 such a "must have" device? It was a great differentiator.
I'm still of the mindset that the PS3/XB360 are still the best option at this point.
I think the only thing Sony is guilty of here is offering a little bit of something for everyone.
When I look over people's comments I see how some people preferred some games over others. Some loved Bloodborne, but I for one could care less about it.
All the "boring" stuff in the middle, I thought was interesting. A free TV show and the PlayStation TV sound a lot better to me than Dead Island 2 or clickers in Diablo. But then I don't really care for zombie g...
