I mean it's Spider-Man, one of the largest franchises in the world. And for 2023 the only games that could be considered similar releases for the PS5 are the Final Fantasy releases. But, given previous sell figures even combined they will probably not be able to take on Spider-Man.

So basically the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB is a direct substitute for the RTX 3060 TI. Nvidia's claim of 70% extra performance is odd and probably takes into account DLSS 3/Frame Generation. So in actual rasterization that number should be much lower if not on par with the previous generation while being more efficient. But the main issue is the 8GB of GDDR6 even with the extra L2 cache I find really hard to justify the low amount of VRAM for $400 which will definitely hinder performance if you are...

Nintendo is there unofficially and they are very mad about that fact.

The game is fully playable on PC, you can choose the input method, upscale, etc. But the 60fps patch and this RT patch are still hit or miss. The first is being optimized whereas the second is just a patch modification originally for BOTW so it can create some artifacts.

Yeap it does as long as it's running at maximum TDP.
And the benchmark shows exactly that.

GTA V - Normal/720P = 120+ FPS;
Doom Eternal - Medium/720p = 80+ FPS;
Elden Ring - Low/720p = 55 FPS;
FFVII Intergrade - Low/720p = 60 FPS;
Marvel's Spider-Man - Low/720 = 60 FPS;
God of War - Low/720p = 60 FPS;
Destiny 2 - Low/720p = 60 FPS;
The Witcher 3 - Low/720p = 60 FPS;
Horizon Zero Daw...

The argument here is at the very least muddled and shows that the author never actually used the devices that she is comparing to the Switch. To start the ROG Ally and the Steam Deck are not exactly the same nor do they have the same objective.

Valve's idea was a compromise between a full PC and a console and a lot of the "issues" mentioned by the author are "fixed" by the automatic Steam Deck profiles. That will basically make the device work as a ...

This is not Iwata's Nintendo though. Furukawa appears to be a much more "by the books" kind of fellow, his biggest contribution being part of the Pokemon Company during its most safe years (Black & White 2 up to OR/AS).

So I wouldn't put past the dude just releasing a Switch 2 with upgraded internal hardware and calling it a day. But that said. There are other gimmicks that we could see. Capacitative touch on the controllers, as well as a camera for A...

That was a weird specific date to announce.
Well, we also started seeing Nvidia's Orin development kits going around. And both the Nano and the NX could be used as bases for the SoC going into Nintendo's next device. Both run at the desirable 5w to 20w and are around 3x the performance of the current Switch. Putting the successor on a similar ballpark as the PS4 which could very well be further improved by Nvidia's tech with DLSS/frame generation.

Literally, nothing stopping you from buying the games. Hell, the tool that Nintendo went after only works if you have the real games and the real hardware.

I mean when you compare it with the best RPG series currently in development and likely one of the best that ever existed aka The Legend of Heroes. Yeah, I can see Honkai Star Rail not being that impressive.

But the thing people have to keep in mind is that this is a mobile game first and when we consider that. All the issues start to make sense, they are all part of the mobile culture game and while I'm with the author that they can be infuriating at worst and boring ...

Well, technically speaking Amazon's Luna has the potential to be the largest streaming service. But I doubt it is right now, given the limited availability.

That is a shame Skyline was being developed so fast that we already had many Switch games playable on phones. With a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 even BOTW was already running at almost fixed 30fps and the much weaker SD 840 was enough for the more light games— even Pokemon was running well on those.

This market is really full of options right now. And while Android native gaming is... shoddy to say the least, these devices can become really good retro machines. Playing anything from Atari 2600 all the way up to Switch, with some exceptions like PS3 and Xbox.

Yeah, 2280 solutions will always be cheaper. That is how it goes in the consumer market as well.
But in comparison to other 2230 options, the new prices of the expansion cards make a lot more sense.

1133d ago 12 agree2 disagreeView comment

The new prices:

512GB: $89.99 (from $139.99)
1TB: $149.99 (from $219.99)
2TB: $279.99 (from $399.99)

Prices are now in-line with most consumer-grade M.2 2230 Gen 4 Nvme.

Still much pricier than the M.2 2280 that the PS5 and most PCs use though.

"The strength of Sony’s brand is that its players can count on lots of big-budget games that aren’t rushed out the door, full of bugs, or half-baked"

I know The Gamer is at rock bottom when it comes to publications. But how can anyone write this kind of shit when not even a month has passed since Sony released one of the worst rated and most buggy AAA games on PC.

Well, I'm sure the fanboys will eat it up. As long as their favourite brand i...

Yeap, it's running pretty well on Ryujinx. Just some visuals glitches on cutscenes and you have to run it at 2x otherwise the game locks itself at 20fps for some reason.

Probably getting it once it's in stores as well. But I do wonder how well it will run on original hardware, a lot of stuff looks better than BOTW. Draw distance in particular feels like double.

1136d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

Definitely a visual improvement. But at the same time, it looks more like stock Unreal Engine or Unreal store to be more precise.

In any case, the issues with the SAO games were never the graphics. But the shallow gameplay and the terrible story/characters.

I mean. There are at least a dozen of Windows-based handhelds in the market right now and they work. The experience is not as seamless as the Steam Deck, but what most companies do is exactly what Asus is trying to do. A third-party utility tool that makes managing the system easier.

As for the issues specific to the Xbox app. I'm not going to deny that the app is not optimized right now. If wasn't for the EGS being a thing, I would say it's the worst launcher ...
