I'm gonna pass. Already bought it on PS3 with all the DLC and then bought it again later on Steam during their Summer Sale last year and I got it for something like $5 and it came with all the DLC again there. The Steam version already supported 1080p60. No matter what I did with AA settings though, I couldn't get all the jaggies to go away. From what I've seen on this PS4 version, the jaggies are still there on this version, too.
Frak Forbes.com and their "turn off your ad blocker" BS.
If they're gonna do animated films, I hope they're not planning to spend the money to develop those studios in house. Keep the writing and directorial control, but contract out the actual animation work to a studio that does that stuff all the time. Any number of anime studios in Japan could handle it better than Nintendo itself could since they're already set up for it and do that kind of thing all the time. They could even partner up with Disney, Pixar, or Dreamworks if they ...
And, by definition, SUPER heroes ARE superior to other people. Super, as in superior, superlative, etc. i.e.: Better than everyone else and that is why they are looked up to and placed on pedestals.
Now, if the guys weren't wearing superhero get-ups under their shirts? It would just be a weird picture and these guys might have some small shred of credibility to their misogyny claims.
Not only that, but the girls must be standing on equal level as the men, and they cannot be undressing the men, even only partially, while having those looks of adoration in their eyes. We don't want to give any impressions of any kind of domineering or subjugation going on. Clearly, the women here were being dominated and they didn't even realize it, so they must be vindicated!
I usually agree with Jaffe most of the time when he goes off about stuff. This isn't one of those times. Wow, way way WAY off the deep end on this one. I can understand why he said what he did about it, but I also think it's blown so far out of proportion to the point of just being silly ridiculous. The part that offends me the most about this stuff is when one person tells another how they should feel about something. Don't fucking sit there and tell me how I feel. I know h...
Glad I didn't see this at work. Thumbnail is def NSFW
@DARKKENT: You've said it yourself. It is rumored to provide a sometimes minor improvement in games. If that's all it is, why getting so bent out of shape about it? How does such a minor improvement make you feel like you've been screwed over? I don't get it. Blowing shit waaaay out of proportion if you ask me.
Wow, this is the first I've heard of this. That's crazy. We have a Wii (not Wii U) in the house and it rarely gets used. I only bought about 4-5 games from their online store when it was still up and running for Wii. And then I used a pre-paid store card rather than a credit/debit card.
If this happens on a credit/debit card, call the card issuer and submit a dispute claim on it if they charged you and didn't deliver the goods/services.
@garrettbobbyferguson: Half of your games, maybe. Not even close to half of mine. For me, it's single-player games almost exclusively. I do play Destiny and Driveclub, but, again, usually only as a single player 95% of the time. Most games with online modes never get played online in my house. I'm a PSN subscriber for the Instant Game Library and discount prices. If I had to assign a percentage of worth when it comes to online play access, I'd put that percentage at 10% or ...
The reason is so that they can send you a text message to confirm when account changes are made. This is an improvement over email confirmation because if your email account is also compromised, email confirmation does no good for security. It's at least an order of magnitude harder for a sleezebag to intercept a text message unless you have an iPhone and your texts are synced with your iCloud account.
I can't imagine them doing another dedicated portable. I think Vita has left a bad taste in the mouths of a lot of people and many of their customers are likely going to be gun shy of going another round with that. I'm a big PlayStation fan and I have my doubts about whether I'd want to spend money on another Sony handheld.
Sony seems to be utterly ashamed of the poor Vita. Many retailers around me don't even bother to stock it anymore. Retail game cards...
Ubisoft. Buggy. Lack of updates.
Did someone set the music on repeat again?
Firmware update cannot enable hardware that isn't there.
The bad jaggies seen on that cat game are not because it's in 720p. Geez, reviewer guy. You should know better than that. What you're seeing there is latency and/or dropped frames in the streaming, nothing more. 1080p resolution won't fix that. Probably only make it worse, actually, as it would eat up even more bandwidth.
Because with remote play you don't have to only use it on a local LAN or local wifi connection. It certainly works best that way, but you can also access it from anywhere with a good internet connection if you have everything setup correctly. Traveling and have your laptop with you but your PS4 is safe at home? Fire up remote play and get your PS4 game on. Results can vary wildly doing that, but it can work.
The only reason I could see to not open it to PC's is because then they lose control over what the experience is like for customers because they don't control the PC hardware being used. If a customer finds that it doesn't work well on their PC or they're just dissatisfied in general for whatever reason and then they might start bashing the headset/Sony publically online. Because Sony had no control over the system specs they hooked the headset up to, the criticism there may...
I agree with everything you're saying here Chris. I don't work in the gaming industry, but I am a mechanical engineer, so I get the technical trade show and the boy's club attitude of these things. I agree completely that these after parties are business events even thought it may seem like it's just a party. It's all about schmoozing people and greasing the skids, so to speak. Get people liquored up and they'll start talking, possibly even about stuff they maybe s...
It's pretty simple, guys. This party was a company-sponsored event and we have sexual harassment / hostile workplace laws in the US because of stuff like this. It does not matter, legally, if the event happened outside the office and after-hours. If MS hadn't paid for the event, nor had they paid the dancers, this wouldn't be an issue. But they did, and as soon as they did that, this event became a de facto extension of the office and the harassment laws come into play.
I sort of agree. I still think it looks amazing despite the changes needed for performance reasons. I too found that the game did a poor job of providing incentive to want to keep playing. The career mode felt pretty weak and I didn't get a lot of sense that it going anywhere. The racing itself was pretty good. The kart racing part I didn't care for too much though. Playing with a DualShock controller was kind of frustrating because it's not very forgiving of mistakes at all...
