I'm guessing a cheaper, err, "cost-reduced," version of PSVR.
I read the title too quickly and was then, just as quickly, disappointed.
I'd expect holiday 2019 at the earliest. I'd give it 70:30 odds. They've averaged going ~6 years on a generation before launching the successor which would put them at 2019 if they stick to tradition. PS3 was an outlier where they waited longer to launch but that was due to PS2's overwhelming success. PS4 could be on track to repeat that and Sony could milk it for all it's worth. The PS4 Pro might also throw a wrench into things there, but I doubt that alone will affe...
What I expect from a hypothetical PS5 is just more of the same from what PS4 is doing now, only prettier. Other than VR support, that's about all PS4 offered over the PS3 and I don't expect that trend to change for PS5. Standard 4K support on all games and probably standard HDR support, too. Probably see next gen VR headsets and remotes. Possibly with some haptic feedback included? That's a long-shot, but could be interesting to see. Maybe add full software emulation for PS2 w...
Yeah I can't see blaming Sony for anything beyond failing to review the content before posting it. They most likely didn't do the editing on the video and just put whatever file up the developers sent them without looking at it closely.
Be prepared for another CoD game: Crash of Duty: Apocalypse Now
Hopes: Shawn Layton gets benched for being a boring and unlikeable presenter at E3. Bring back Jack Tretton! Next up? Give us release dates for GT Sport and the new Ace Combat game that are during this calendar year, please. Lower price on PSVR and/or version 2.0 with wider viewing angles and improved tracking would be appreciated, too. PS1 Mini (a la the NES Classic) with 30 games, just to poke Nintendo in the eye.
Fears: No updates on FF7 remake. That Alien Autopsy ...
I agree. I don't see generations getting shorter either. PS1 was in the market for around 10+ years (1994-2005). PS2 was around 12+ years (2000-2013). PS3 was around 10+ years (2006-2017). PS4 launched in 2013, and the historical pattern we can see from the dates above, has been to launch a next gen system 6 years after the launch of the prior gen (PS4 was an anomaly at 7 years after launch of PS3). That would put Sony on track for PS5 in 2019. Seems about right considering Sony ha...
If they do it, I wish them well, but I most likely won't buy it. I had an original PSP fat model and then later a PSP-3000 slim model. Traded in the fat PSP for the Vita. Still have the newer PSP and the Vita but they get no playtime.
I feel like Sony left the Vita out to dry and never gave it the proper marketing and support that it derserves. Too many indies and not enough AAA's. Always had poor retail presence and most stores don't stock it at all anymore...
Game Informer is still a thing? Huh... I'll be dipped.
It's the games, stupid.
Back touch pad was hardly ever used on most of the games I played on mine. On games where it is used, I often inadvertently hit it because of it's placement. My fingers naturally want to be where the touch pad is while I'm holding the Vita in a way that feels the most comfortable. A lot of this is because the Vita lacks a good built-in way for me to hold it. It always feels precariously perched on my fingertips. Give me some grips like a DualShock controller. The clip-on afterma...
Hair patch does not equal vagina. Being a girl, you'd think she'd know her own anatomy.
Outside of pornogrphy, er, "erotica", clean-shaved ladies are rarely shown in games and other film. Even Playboy Magazine didn't show hairless beavers for most of it's print run because they said it was a little too hardcore for what they wanted to portray.
With nude dudes, unless they're not very well endowed or they're ...
ArsTechnica played with the Switch and said the HD Rumble tech doesn't live up to the hype Nintendo gave in their presser. They said the ice cubes in a glass bit wasn't nearly as distinguishable as Nintendo made it out to be.
But what about when the digital store you bought it from goes away, like it did on Wii? Can't re-download those...
WD is good if you buy the Black or Red models. Blue and Green lines are junk.

"Custer's Revenge" anyone? Or are you all too young to remember it?

Kyle Orland at arstechnica.com says PSVR hits a sweet spot in price, performance, and comfort. Says PSVR can be worn comfortably for longer periods of time than Oculus or Vive and provides a better overall experience than Gear VR, despite having lower LCD resolution. No one ever expected PSVR to lead the pack in specs.
Consensus seems to be that it's a better experience than most expected the PS4 could deliver, but there are realities that can't be avoided given t...
Rehash of PS Move.... it's the Re-Move!
