Yeah, to think that Bethesda could have made away to do this legally and didn't just makes me feel bad about how developers cut corners.
I mean if random basement coders can apply mods to Ps3 version of a game what could a company do?
Ps3's price was mainly because of Blu-ray and Cell processor. Blu-ray was ridiculously expensive at the time Ps3 launched and Ps3 was cheapest blu-ray player for a long time.
NGP however, seems to have a lot "safer" components. Quad-core processors are nothing new on PC, and storage media seems to be just evolved version of existing medias.
Then there's the difference between Handheld and phone markets. Sony will probably sell NGP for the n...
Android powered phones are usually half the size of NGP, which means a lot of the components are a lot smaller and a lot more expensive. There are also phone specific components and 3G can be found in pretty every unit.
Also these crazy iPhone prices have probably somewhat influenced others to ask more from their phones as well.

Oh you want to go down all the way to the ROM cartridges? No, Nintendo wasn't the first to use them, even commandore64 had them.
Good thing about these are that NGP saves the files to NGP own memory, not to the game card unlike certain other systems.
Whose copying who, N-gage says hi! (probably not the first one, but first one I remember)
There's a simple reason to use this instead of UMD, it uses less energy to read card like this than to spin a disc.
I usually buy both Nintendo and Sony handhelds as both have really good games (DS and PSP).
BUT for this handheld generation I will probably just buy NGP. 3DS not being region free was kinda deal breaker for me. But if 3DS manages to provide enough good PAL region games, I just might buy it when the price drops to around 100€.
I got plenty of games that I have ordered from US for Psp, Ds and Ps3. So far I have not bough many from Japan (1 or 2), but consider...
Yeah 3D is still just 3D classes or not, if graphics have improved to something slightly better than PSP its still years behind of NGP.
What I am most excited about NGP is the fact that it brings PSP platform to this millenia whit its network features. Friend lists, communication, trophies, browser, sharing stuff and most importantly multi-player.
Now if NGP is all this and still remains region free it will seriously demolish 3DS in pretty much every way poss...
300€
add 50€ with must have games and software.
Apple always overprices their products, not to mention Phones in general tend to be a lot smaller and slimmer than NGP even aims to be, making the components cost even more or suffer in performance.
NGP seems to be the same size as original psp making it almost double the size of iPhone , thats a lot more room.
1. a bit of a double edged sword, they look better and usually sold in Packs, but wouldn't mind playing my other Ps2 games.
2. Depends on the country, the laws to protect the consumers differ greatly between nations. In my country people file complaints and use the laws protecting consumers for Ps3's that fall apart 2 or sometimes even 3 years of use and more often than not Sony has replace/fix the unit as long as its a hardware failure caused by use.
probably some kind of combination of Left4dead 1 and 2 would be best option if they'd suddenly want to bring the game over to the Ps3 gamers.
Left4Dead3 could be better however, as previous L4D games have been made without Ps3 or Ps3 Steam-works functionality in mind unlike portal2 (meaning implementing cross platform multi-player could be hard). It could include some of the older campaigns however with some new spice in form of new weapons and enemies.

I doubt there are any rules of 5 or anything like that. Its just that every game may have (as this seems to be labeled as rumour) a hidden CD-key. That means if the same CD-key is online for multiple users they know its a pirate copy or the copy of the game which was shared online.
This has one serious problem tough, you don't really know what people do with their rented copies.
Yeah, just wanted to point out that engine makes a great difference on how game finally plays out. Crysis on the PC for example, looks really good and the system requirements are considerably lower than one might think, then there are these games that look like shit and barely run in modern computers.
But I do agree, Mass effect on these images looks close to identical.
For my understanding there are plenty of benefits new engine can bring even with older assets. Things like more optimized use of those old assets and the hardware can really boost the performance. Depending how much tricks the game uses it may also make the game look a lot better. (better effects, filters etc)
But considering the game is only a year old, and the fact that Ps3 and X360 both are almost equally powerful with graphics I doubt the differences would be big if at ...
But I like hack and slash games, and this is a spinoff.
After playing trough KH2 I had hoped for a similar game in full Final fantasy setting and... Versus seems to be just that!
KH2 with all those special form and limit breaks where really nice. Too bad KH2 was a bit too easy.
Actually PC is only faster at aiming, and games that require insane amount of hot keys to do well. Games like fighters or hack and slash games similar to DMC require quite fast reflexes from the player. These games are literally unplayable with mouse and keyboard.
Portal doesn't require that inhumanly fast 1px accuracy that some pc games do. This makes it suitable game for both platforms and even for cross platform multiplayer.
As for movement, pad is as fast or p...
It has that the Sims like potential which makes the game great for both genders.
Classic!

If it was similar hack, I am severely disappointed by N4G testers. But I would guess its something far more complex than that, hackers are getting meaner and meaner day by day after all.
Two worlds2 has already been released, bought it like a month a go (Finland). So the less patient people may import it from somewhere, at least my copy has full English localization.
Guess the publishing problems affected only UK and US?
Yeah this sounds about right, except I wouldnt be suprised to find out that basic is 350€ and 3G 399€. But I wonder will they just leave it to 3G vs no 3G, I bet they will also provide some sort of 8/16/32GB versions as well.
