The simplification was probably great for multiplayer gaming but it did no good for the single player part. Many gamers who care not for multi-player probably played the game trough few times and left it to collect dust.
If hardware developers want to build up a closed PC then just do it. I am still wondering why there's no "computers" with closed operating system (similar to consoles). But open hardware and play PC windows games.
This kind of system could offer new methods to fight off the piracy. Especially if some pc games would be only available for the Closed (most likely windows based) operating system.
As for CONSOLES, they are perfectly fine with limitt...
in E3
Make it possible to use your home avatar in games. This would do good for the sales of all those costumes and all.
Who wouldn't want to frag people in FPS game with own avatar instead of random soldier x. OR kick peoples ass in Soul Calibur etc
1. People would buy more virtual items
2. great place to offer premium items to playstation+ users. ( = more subscribers.)
3. More people visiting home to pimp out their character.
4. Want to increa...
Why would you need trophies if you just want to play the damn game online?
Sometimes you just want to pick up an old game with a friend and maybe play a few games online, not because of trophies or statistics but because to have some f****** fun.
Gamers have been hosting servers ever since online gaming was invented. If they can't keep their own servers up at least give the gamers chance to host their own.
Is it so hard to provide some kind direct ip to ip online play or player server system for modern games. Technology seems to advance in pretty pathetic direction when looking it this way.
There are still online servers for Doom2 (people hosting servers) and Civilization games seem to have some sort of direct ip multiplayer as well.
If you consider pre-orders as day 1 purchases even if mail doesn't deliver them on day one, thats the way I purchase the games that I just can't wait.
I live in Finland but buy 95% of my games from UK, simply because Ill save like 20-50€ per game which is a lot (new games are 69€ here =.=" ).
But mostly I just wait untill the games hit bargain bin, and discounts. Gamestation, Blahdvd and Canadian Videogame plus offer quite juicy deals every now a...
Eat lead: return of Mat Hazard. I mean its average at best but still entertaining. It has a lot of bad humor like in 80-90's action films (which is one thing the game parodies.)
Its not AAA or AA or even A but its light years away from shovelware.
Decent rent or bargain bin game to see the good parts of the humor.
*hellishly long mission description* Matt:"Can't you summarize this?"
*Kill everything that moves* Matt:"Thanks..&quo...
You can probably have around 100Mbps connection if you live in Helsinki(capital of finland). But as for the city where I am living you can get around 10Mbps (you probably can get higher but that will cost quite a bit).
currently paying 30€ for 1Mbps connection which is really expensive considering that youd probably get the 100Mbps connection for that price in Helsinki (or at least 10Mbps).
Its all about the location : /
Thinks that what the girl did was the right thing to do? I mean seriously... The girl saved that guys soul there. Maybe that will bring him up in reality and make him think "seriously what the hell have I been doing"
I played conquer online for few years with quite dedication, but suddenly realized wth I had been doing. Clicking the enemy monsters and grinding for exp and items or doing quests etc.
Took up like 8 hours a day.
seriously I me...
I would like to have the server myself. Why not just offer the consumers option to put up their own "cloud servers" where they can stream media and use programs. This option would not only have better choice for privacy but could also be used offline.
Just think about having a machine that all your electronic devices can listen to. From your TV in your living room to your cellphone at the other side of the world.
We would no longer need to install ...
But referring to it as the BIG ONE is quite misleading. The gaming really started to get popular just after PlayStation. But the money, effort and work that is being used to fight in current console war is way bigger than Sega and Nintendo would have ever guessed.
I think its a bit wrong to praise the past gaming in this way considering how much more the current developers have to go trough.
Everything is bigger now.
Nis will include the japanese audio in these games. As My anime characters don't speak English nor do my space marines speak Japanese
Versus is more of TGS material imo. Same could go with lastguardian and Psp2 (which has been selling in Japan pretty well, thanks to games like monster hunter)
who clearly won the E3.
If you disagree you have not seen their press conference
Using chrome as my main browser on my computer. Would love to be able to use it on Ps3 as well. Probably would speed up searches as well.
The Ps3 browser now is...
well at least it has a browser :D
with 3D if it brings headaches or its otherwise uncomfortable to watch. Glasses or not. For me gaming needs to be comfortable and ill rather watch normal picture than hurt my eyes or suffer a headache.
I see this as a good deal for those who buy A lot from psn. 4 free games a month (1 psn title, 1 classic and 2 minis) sounds like a pretty good deal.
1 psn game = 5-20€~
1 Classic = 3-8€~
2 minis = 2-5€
+ other content (some of which should be free to being with like avatars)
Also the discounts on psn games may also work well for people that are constantly buying stuff from PSN. And the people that want to get in to the betas get what ...
Konami won the E3, and we all know it.
Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft never stood a chance
with 1-10
Sony 9/10 - Plenty of games, some where announced before e3 which lessened their impact, but otherwise good show. Also Wizardy looks nice as a new Ip.
Nintendo 9+/10 - Nintendo where not kidding this year, starting off with zelda and announcing new titles (no new interesting IP's tough which is a shame). Nice to see some classics retu...
Dunno about the all-age visual novel part tough, Higurashi has its brutal and psychopathic parts as well. Dunno about the answer arcs tough.
I really hope at least some of these vn's get more attention, there are plenty good with really good plot but many just tend to ignore them for the AO rated fan service that they tend to offer. (Note: Manga gamer offers more suitable versions for those who prefer the slightly cut version)
Would buy Higurashi but I ha...
