I for one would of settled for 4GB Ram before the PS4 reveal in Feb. Especially with 8-core CPU and integrated graphics. But 8GB for both is very exciting all around.

Trust takes years to fully develop once broken. Remember if Sony had followed suit with DRM we would all be stuck with being told to pay up and shut up.
Its good to see the reversals but once your true intentions have been let out its hard to get 100% trust back. They only reversed once gamers stuck together and put large pre-orders for the PS4 with little take up for XB1.

Cloud or internet space is not the same as local hard disk space. You cannot access it directly at speed. It will need to be streamed or downloaded so the heading for this topic is misleading.
They should be just saying free unlimited cloud space for certain content. But we all knew that anyway, right?
I guess Sony were smart to go for 8GB GDDR5 in the end. The 4.5 - 5GB for games makes sense for future proofing and delivering current share and other features. Imagine what would be available for games with just 4GB.
But worth remembering that PS4 has unified Ram and we are yet to hear from a developer complaining about lack of Ram. So maybe we should all be happy about that.

I am a very happy PS+ fan but cloud games saves should be free to everyone. You know MS have the servers for this. Just look at how much email space you are allowed with a hotmail account.
Shame about user content. I often put my movies or music on my PS3. Its a good bonus for all gamers none the less.

We shall all see in the passage of time the true potential of both new consoles.
Most games won't use it in the first few years and multi-platform games won't use it because PS4 does not.
It is only mandatory because of its TV features. MS will push those features to appeal to a mass audience. Gamers will not benefit greatly.

Multi platform games will not use Kinnect because PS4 does not insist on PS Eye. They will me made pretty much the same.
MS have to ship Kinnect if they make a massive TV Ad push towards XB1 as a living room device. That must be their short-medium term focus. Most games won't need it but the TV features will.
