Keep them on Xbox Live! We don't want them on PSN..
Good move by MS, though. This kind of bullying has gone on too long. I would de-activate their consoles from online gaming for a set time. People can always change accounts but would be more careful if their box got blocked.
This has always been a problem in certain games.
Lots of great games to come but for me at the moment it has to be Infamous Second Son followed by Killzone Shadow Fall.
But many other great games so who knows...
Guess the power of the cloud is not ready to use yet. Not to mention specs don't count. Mixed messages that almost contradict.
But I guess more for free is a good thing.
The question to ask is why do it at this late stage?
It does look on the outside as a vain attempt to compete with what it considers to be a more GPU-superior machine. Is it optimisation or desperation?
At this stage in development, let it be.
You won't notice straight away but over time you will. This is the nature of overclocking. You stress the hardware more.
Overclocking your GPU is not good for a system you want to run for 10 years. Keep it as is. The difference is not worth the risk to overheating, etc.
Sony & MS should release what they have and not try to make changes to keep up with each other. Any major changes should go through heavy testing and push back the release date by a few months at least.
So keep as is or push back your release date!
If it was not from Polygon id I would take more notice.
We shall see in good time. Also depends upon the developers.
An interesting read. A company as large as MS should be making better hardware as they have way more resources available. There can be no excuses this time.
Daft comment about being almost silent during standby. Aren't all devices?
But good to read more about the inner workings of a next gen console.
Its NAUGHTY DOG.
Enough said....
Not the best example of current gen (neither was GTA 4 for all those comparing).
Guess its PS4 then.
Cameras, Smartphones, Tablets, Dualshock 3/4 all have rechargeable batteries. Come on people. Only dinosaurs think this is acceptable in 2013 to still use AA batteries for a controller.
This is next gen, right? I can only think Sony has the rights to this type of rechargeable in a controller. Why not include the recharging kit free with every XB1?
If we make enough of a stink maybe they will do a 180 on this too. Does not make any sense to me.
Release date, confirmed Ram breakdown, great games and more great games. That'll do nicely..
This is old news. I am sure it was mentioned a few weeks back that they were gonna put one in. They did with the 360 and it is Sony who have copied them on this.
Why they even thought about not including one in the first place is beyond me. (Mind you, DRM, ALways connected, etc.).
Edit:* They got rid of the brick power at last (they have, right?) wish they would have a controller with built in power supply like DS3 & DS4 - still using AA batteries to forc...
You cannot live off Mario & Zelda forever. The public gets tired of these things as good as they may be in themselves.
Even Halo & Gears of War is getting stale for consumers that is why XB1 is trying to add more stings to its bow including TV.
The WiiU seems a strange concept to me. Too big to be a hand held and too small for tablet gaming. It has an identity crisis. Just what is it? (Rhetorical question).
It seems MS did not expect Sony to come out so strong this time around. Sony have been wiping the floor with XB1 so MS have been doing all they can to be just like PS4.
I guess flattery is a compliment after all.
Proof that we always need healthy competition!
It will be amazing.
PS Vita's time will come once PS4 hits the ground..
Its called import tax! We in the UK pay a lot more than our US cousins for most things because of tax!
Its like unlimited texts on mobile phones (cell phone - usa). They give you 3,000 or 5,000 texts a month but call it unlimited as they do not expect anyone to do that many.
They might as well call it unlimited but cap at 500. Guess with that many we will all want to turn off any notifications in-game. Just imagine trying to play your fave game but getting pop-ups every 2 mins about friends and messages.
Let's go with 500 for both!
The only concern is the amount of CPU required for the 3 OS systems and running virtual machines. There is always an overhead.
But much better than the 360.
Was actually quite funny!
