xCloud is almost ready and it is set to be in a great position to offer a complementary service to existing Xbox owners who will be able to launch any included Game Pass game immediately as well as being able to continue their games when away from home.
More tantalising still is that next year it will offer Xbox Series X hardware and performance, meaning you will be able to play Xbox Series X games without even having to own a console.

@Christopher. You’re right that Eurogamer didn’t make the mod. My concern is that if it champions it, it then it becomes the norm for people to make mods as political statements. I have no issue with individuals’ freedom to create mods, my concern is that mods rather then just being an optional extra for a niche group in fact become a method by the games media to dictate to the gaming community which games are acceptable. So creators might see their work sidelined for being inappropriate and ...
Eurogamer you can do better than this.
There are many real problems in the world to do with abuse in the gaming industry. But this foppish article is grossly misguided as it hopes to kick off a crusade games where the art is considered ‘inappropriate’ so it can then be deleted. Eurogamer has no right to champion this or edit the work of others because it doesn’t fit your values. Many old novels or movies are controversial, but we judge them to be of their time and their foi...
Woah, I’m genuinely surprised by this announcement and what it might mean for PlayStation. Bear in mind Sony is only acquiring a 1.4% stake in Epic. To put this perspective as to how ‘little’ this is, the article says Fortnite generated $400 million in April.
Iron Man at number 2 is an astounding result for a sub-platform of PS4. It just goes to show there is a market for VR games. Whilst I suspect it will drop next week it’s a further sign that the VR market is going to expand. I have big hopes for PSVR 2.
Assassin’s Creed ‘leaks’ are never leaks, they are nearly always orchestrated by Ubisoft.
Isn’t this the game where that gamer in China smashed up his PS4 in protest because it copied /was inspired by Zelda the Breath of the Wild? I kinda wanna play this now!
Eleven years?! That's cool, it means he covered up until the PlayStation 6 generation is more than halfway through when all those PlayStation 7 leaks start coming. It's going to have some futuristic features that you wouldn't think you want, but your kids will love it!
If you know someone with a new iPad Pro ask them to show you Fortnite which runs in 120fps. Some premium 4K TVs have 120hz mode so if you are planning on getting a new TV for the next-gen consoles it’s worth considering these models.
morganfell, I hear what you are saying about characters in literature and other media and the issue for change solely for inclusion. However there is a tendency for people to conflate that and the discussion of left and right politics and representation too. But all that is actually different from the lack of fairness with company employment practices that stop a talented man or woman getting their foot in the door. I don't say there are problems based on subjective opinion I formed from...
I've been into the offices of some big software companies and media companies in London and in some, not all, they have people who are predominantly private school educated and white. Of course no individual needs to apologise for their level of education or their race! However many companies can do better because they have structures that favour hiring people who are the same, not just racially but also preferring people from the same middle class social class. This means if you are qual...
Ubisoft announces plans to make long term structural changes which is a less reactionary way to deal with the issues. What is a positive is that Yves Guillemot has announced a head of diversity who will report directly to him. This is a great way to open up employment in the company to a greater breadth of talented people and ultimately it means that he is fully informed and accountable.
This is the biggest open secret for next-gen, and one that I'm happy about! I really want to go back to a new single-player Fable game and how cool would it be if it's ready as a launch title.
Some people think that because the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series with new powerful graphics are being released later this year that Nintendo is under pressure to make an updated console, but that isn't the case. The Switch is targeted at a different section of the market, and whilst there is some crossover, the people buying it and its games are not expecting 4K graphics. Mario Odyssey, Zelda Breath of the Wild and Animal Crossing New Horizons amongst other big sellers have proven to be a...
CCN don’t spout conspiracy theories.
Some people love the game, some people hate it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and their reasons - even if they differ from yours, even if they differ from mine! Not everyone has to think the same way and people criticising it doesn’t mean there was a coordinated evil plan to destroy it.
I’m so happy for Naughty Dog that this is set to break PS4 sales records and set a new high quality standard for how great gam...
That picture of Phil Spencer is from about ten years ago!

Barely the weekend has past since The Last of Us part II was released and Sony is revealing the patch release notes of its soon to be released triple-A game Ghosts of Tsushima. This underlines that there should have been more time between the two releases so that they don't cannibalise each others press coverage or game sales.
This DOESN’’T mean PSVR2! It means PSVR1 used with PS5. It will have the same 1920 x 1080 resolution resolution at 386ppi but higher detail level made possible by the PS5. 😊
The Gamer Eric Switz that’s a plot event spoiler in your headline, please change it or delete it.
I want it. I want to hold it. I want to know how it feels. I want to learn all about the new features and the games that support them. GIVE!
