“Why I Believe It's A Good Time To Switch To PC Instead Of PS5?” by Xbox4Life.
Ninja Theory are not long for this Earth. Microsoft will wait for a year until the exclusivity window for Hellblade II passes, then it will release the PS5 and Switch 2 version, then will it shut the studio down.
For what he's done to Xbox? He should pay back the money to Microsoft for his decade-long tenure of incompetence.
People say Don Mattrick was the worst - I disagree, he had a bad product launch and he tried to foster some ideas that the market wasn't ready for, just like that music that was played to the ungrateful pupils at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance. But Phil... he had all the money in the world and he messed it up and now we're witnessing the slow de...
I really want GTA: VI to borrow these features from Skyrim: magical swords, statistics that you can level up, the Thieve's Guild, stores where you can buy and sell items references to an arrow in the knee and... Belethor.
@Reaper22_"And what the hell are you talking about goodwill and faith being squandered? You guys just like to make up your own little doom and gloom stories and run with it as being facts when they aren't."
Since early in the year when news about the Xbox changes were first rumoured the most loyal cheerleaders in the Xbox community have been on an emotional rollercoaster expressing anger and upset at Microsoft - these people are not fanboys from different plat...
If this is true then the exec team at Microsoft/Phil Spencer is deliberately sabotaging the Xbox business to accelerate a move away from its costly console towards becoming fully third-party. It’s disappointing to see how much consumer goodwill and faith in the Xbox brand has been squandered since the start of the year.
Yet when it was revealed that the brand new game for the PS5 system, Astro Bot, would cost $60 so many on N4G had a meltdown. https://n4g.com/news/260263...
@InUrFoxHole: “Oh boy. Can't wait to read all the this is a good price comments or this is a fair price for quality. No wonder Sony didn't even try with their last showing. They're expecting to coast o...
@Profchaos You make a great point about Doom and gameplay. All I mean is in the trailer there is at least one big boss shown and it would be nice to be surprised by each one and each level as you play it. Ultimately that is in my hands to abstain from preview content!
@Christopher Why is Microsoft cutting the throat of its hardware business? Because of the bigger prize. Game Pass is likely only subscribed to by hardcore gamers who have committed to spending £250+ on a console. With a cloud service that is available on FireTV and eventually all smart TVs the potential userbase is massively larger because it could be anybody who decides to play a game on a whim.
Now of course there is still the infrastructure costs and software costs...
Shigeru Miyamoto should hand over Nintendo to Xbox's Phil Spencer. Can you imagine what he would do to the brand with Microsoft's financial backing?
This is actually pretty cool.
I hope Sony doesn’t do a Hellblade II and reveal almost the entire game through its previews. I want to watch but also I want to wait and discover things in the game myself.
@inverno. I couldn’t agree more. That story element was added after the main game release. Possibly because Neil Druckman wanted to make an impact.
‘ Xbox Studios Boss: We "Deserve a Pretty Positive Grade" for Xbox Games Showcase’
And what grade do you think you deserve for the rest of your 2024 shenanigans? 🤔
Jez Corden is a useless ‘journalist’ who is so caught up in the format wars he cannot allow himself to believe there is a problem with the production of this graphics intensive game on Xbox Series S. If PlayStation had exclusive marketing rights then it would be doing some exclusive marketing!
The sooner this clown stops spreading his FUD in the industry the better.
‘Is PlayStation Skipping Big Shows A Mistake?’
As hardcore gamers we miss the big shows, but it hasn’t stopped the PS5 sales success. Hosting shows is not a guarantee of success just ask Microsoft.
@DiRtY This is not an unreasonable or baseless appraisal to make. Halo Infinite's multiplayer was released first followed by the single player. Starfield was released followed three months later by a major patch that fixed and adjusted many issues. When games are released with purchase only models then the consumer quality expectation is higher as negative PR could kill future sales. However if games are released for 'free' on to a subscription service then maybe Microsoft has bee...
For this gamble to work, meaning putting Call of Duty on Game Pass and new subs profits outweighing lost retail sales, Microsoft will have to attract PlayStation owners to buying an Xbox and then get them to subscribe to Game Pass. I doubt this will happen to any meaningful degree, I just think the move will kill all the Call of Duty Xbox retail revenue and hastened Microsoft valuing third party console profits most.
I’d love to see a nice, accessible, mainstream fun game in time for the Christmas season.
I wonder if the remakes will be included in a subscription service fee for Assassin’s Creed Infinity.
