Doom (2016) is not the technological wonderkin you think it is.
My 2009 laptop is too old to support Vulkan and it still runs Doom (2016)!

Switch is weak... Contrary to popular belief Doom (2016) and Wolfenstein 2 show this off best. Those two games in particular run exceptionally well on even the weakest of PCs Doom even runs on my old laptop and Wolfenstein 2 would too if it was only new enough to support Vulkan! That's how crazy easy it is to run at least Doom (2016)!
Of course I don't think the demo allows for all possible optimizations to take place leaving my old laptop with framerates anywhere between 0-3...
Switch is 1/16 to 1/11 as fast as PS4 and about times more powerful than PS Vita. To hit 360-720p Wolf 2 may using checkerboard res according to DF. My old laptop runs Doom without Asynchronous Compute, FP16 and it's not even compatible with Vulkan!
Really? I don't see that happening for most people.
Cross play was never a huge deal when Sony and Square were the only publisher doing it for over 15 years! And slowly other publishers jumped on board Sony with Steam on PC/Mac and then iOS and Android...
But since 2016 this has become gaming's biggest issue all the sudden.

With specific regards to Mineccraft? Sure. MS is artificially upping its Million Active Users using MC as a trojan horse. Also Steam users who own MC are left in the cold being forced to buy the Windows 10 version no freebies... Unless MS is trying to cozy up - make no mistake that's what they're doing to Nintendo right now.

Are you forgetting that PS4 also supports crossplay with everything (PC/MAC/iOS/Android) except Xbox One and Switch?

Sony doesn't control Epic or their account system. Epic made the rules Sony said no to cross platform play at some point in the process and Epic's service is set up to lock the account to Sony's platform as a result. Perhaps not spotting that clause was an oversight on Sony's part but ultimately this is Epic's own account system and Epic's rules not Sony's.
A few playable ports done well after release doesn't make Switch a great place to make games for simultaneously. Look what happened with PS Vita games there were actually quite a few games made for Vita and PS3 hardware at the same time and sometimes under the same studio. It was too much work. Ultimately the power differential between PS Vita and PS4 is about the same too which is to say that Switch is about 1/6 the power of PS4 on paper. Isn't it funny how no one will agree with you when Sony's non-crossplay vision impacts their agenda, but will agree when Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann turns characters like Ellie gay which positively impact these same players LGBT agenda?
